Beautiful twin boys born late last night. So that's the second client done. Safe deliveries for both births. 2 mws and 1 anaethestic took my cards because they've decided that when they have babies they want me to be their doula!

So, lots of thanks and praise to God. Now I just need the next two to wait a wee while (but not give birth on Christmas day) and come on separate days too.

Thank you all.

AngelGabrielhidinginaCaveman · 08/12/2007 20:30

Ah Marsy, God does love you doesn't He! As ever, your ladies will deliver on separate days, or at least with enough time between them for you to do your stuff . Shame you're not in NOtts, I'd be booking you myself!

AngelGabrielhidinginaCaveman · 08/12/2007 20:30

Thanks SM, praying for your prayers to be answered soon too.

notsofarnow · 08/12/2007 20:34

Evening all no surprises here am feeling fed up. lo's are at their Dads so I should be getting on with stuff but I can't be bothered

harrisey · 09/12/2007 01:14

Hello

I might have just been inflammatory on a thread slagging of doctors (my dh works in the same area as expat lives, and she is pretty cross with local docs).

Please pray I haven't!

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 09/12/2007 09:28

Hi Harrisey - said a prayer for you. I'm sure things are fine though!

It is our family service today, and hence no Sunday club. Seems daft, but I always find that service the most stressful, due to trying to keep DS occupied. Please pray for a peaceful service for us all.

ChristmasseyHarrisey · 09/12/2007 09:38

Happy Sunday ladies.

I cant be bothered going to church today. We are a lovley church, and great and lively etc ... just cant face happy clapy this morning, I'm SOOOOO tired with it being the end of term!

Trying to think of an excuse not to go. Curretnly working on leving dh to sleep till its too late!

AngelGabrielhidinginaCaveman · 09/12/2007 12:26

Morning ladies, Happy (but not clappy) Sunday to you all .

Was just chatting to Jesus (aka our vicar Brian, whom ds thinks is Jesus), and he was saying he went to bed last night with a blank sheet of paper for today's sermon, then woke up at 5 am with the thought "John the Baptist came" but nothing else. I'm inspired by his faith to totally trust God to provide him with the tools to do His work, for out of that he delivered a 20 minute sermon. Lesson to self - Trust God for He delivers! Hallelujah!!

Anyhoo, I hope you are all ok? We're good and I'm knackered but very excitedly knackered

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 09/12/2007 12:50

I can echo that - Robbie was really well behaved, apart from a few moments here and there, so a BIG success! Thank you God!

We had 2 baptisms this morning, both young girls aged 10, who decided they wanted to profess their faith - truly wonderful!

Harrisey, praying you got some rest - may our Lord enfold you in his arms!

NSFN - how are you today? You are in my prayers too...

DippyChristmas · 09/12/2007 13:09

Glad church was ok, Mary Thank you for text, t'was muchly appreciated, sweetie. xx

Hope you didn't go to church, harrisey - you need the break, don't feel guilty! Hope DH enjoyed / appreciated the lie-in!

Yey for being excitedly tired, CC You are PG!! - Yey!!

Praise God for safe arrival of precious twins, Mars - @ health professionals taking your card! Praying the next two deliveries are smooth, on spearate days and NOT over Christmas! xx

Hello Santasmissus! great to "see" you - Really praying you would get PG soon and praying for healing and peace in your stresses - Praise God for how far He taken you already! xx

Gotta go eat .......

Roseylea · 09/12/2007 13:43

Hello ladies!

Just a flying visit to say that this morning went really well!

When I got there it turned out that I was expected to do the welcome, notices and opening prayer for the service and to do my "sermonette"! Also we normally use microphones and guess what...all of them were on the blink! So I had to "just speak really loudly" (as the person who normally looks after the mikes told me!) Also we had some visiting clergy

But God was good...Dh was at the very back of the church and he said that he could hear every word really clearly. Several people afterwards said that what I'd said had really spoken to them and that it was exactly what they needed to hear today. And the leader of our little "daughter church" said that she was really impressed with me and that I came across as being not at all nervous and completely confident and at home leading the service! Thank you Lord!

Have a good Sunday and Harrisey, just rest! You don;t have to justify it!

DutchOma · 09/12/2007 14:49

How wonderful to hear all your good news.
DH was not able to brave the weather this morning, we live only a mile from church, but no car, so bike or walk and it was just too cold.
We had a very excellent service, two baptisms, like you Mary, but these were older men, both of them, giving a wonderful testimony to their faith.
Glad to hear that all went well Rosey. Hope that you have been able to rest in the Lord Harrisey. Don't let the NHS in Scotland wind you up too much.
Praying for Expat and Mummy2TandF who is still, naturally, struggling.

podglet · 09/12/2007 16:11

Hi all,

Sorry been awol but we have all been poorly in the podglet house and I am soooo tired! DS and I have upper respiritory infections but they can't give me anything for it (DS has had anti b's and a puffer) because of the bean feeling sorry for myself today... work extremely busy as we try to tie up installations for Christmas and battling against a series of disasters such as silly decorators knocking an extractor off a ceiling onto a glass hob and creating £3500 worth of damage [ahock]

CC - what fabulous news so pleased for you hope you are feeling ok, I forgot I was pg when I woke up this morning - didn't half frightem myself in the mirror - more than usual

CD - hope you are ok sweetie and your lovely girlies (and mr CD of course!)

DO - will keep the 18th in mind for you and your DH - hope you get sensible answers.

Mars - you don't fancy an outside London birth do you - I am seriously looking at doulas for this one

Am so sorry this is a quick stop in but I hope everyone else is ok> I pray for you all, even if I am missing in action on here

podglet · 09/12/2007 16:12

awww I wanted Christmas smilies but forgot my "F" - here you go

AngelGabrielhidinginaCaveman · 09/12/2007 19:51

Just saying my prayers with ds and after we finished I said, "you know you can talk to God anytime don't you, even in the middle of the night?"
ds: "Yes mummy. I think God is a mummy."
me: "Why?"
ds: "because he's REAALLLY clever"

planning an early night here [yawn]

DippyChristmas · 09/12/2007 20:40

your DS is soooo cute (& right, obviously ) Night, sweetie, get some rest! xx

Fabtastic stuff, Rosey - glad it went so well and God really spoke through you. So encouraging.

Hello Podglet!!! Great to "see" you sweetie - LOL @ forgetting you were PG that you have all been so poorly - praying God would heal you all, esp in time for Christmas. xx

Right, got to crack on with the Christmas newsletter ........

PandaG · 10/12/2007 08:05

morning all, flying by on way to school run and work.

prayers and love to you all x

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 10/12/2007 08:14

I just want to thank God for something that seems little, but is HUGE! DS got up in the night to go toilet. For weeks we've had (about every other night) wet beds in the morning, despite our getting him up to go when we go to bed. Or if he did wake to go, he'd shout for us to take him. Last night he got up and went and put himself to bed WITHOUT disturbing us for the first time ever! OK he left all the lights on... , but that's a small price to pay!

mufti · 10/12/2007 08:27

hurrah for ds, Mary.
did he get lots of praise?
our ds went in his own room for the first time on saturday night.
not on my say so , i might add, but he was fine, in fact didnt wake till 7.30 yesterday morning, and 7 today, and only then i think as he heard us.
my mum, who is always right, said he would leep better on his own.
i'm still waking early and listening for him at the moment though!

mufti · 10/12/2007 08:36

oh podmog , praying for reconcilation.
try and be calm , and not act out of anger, even though it's hard , i know.

DippyChristmas · 10/12/2007 10:10

{{{{{Podmog}}}}}}}} Praying for you and for DH sweetheart. xx

[ to DS' night-time toileting, Mary and DS staying in his own bed - what good boys! xx

DutchOma · 10/12/2007 10:27

Podmog, that's so hard. Praying that you will be able to keep your calm; have you got the chance to go out for a walk, weather here is not too bad at the moment, but even if that's not possible, just do what you can on autopilot. It's such a sickening feeling having rows.
Every blessing

DippyChristmas · 10/12/2007 10:41

You always put things so well, DO How are you today? How is DH? xx

AngelGabrielhidinginaCaveman · 10/12/2007 13:37

Praise God for your successes with your boys Mary and Mufti Long may it continue!

Looking forwards to getting your newsletter CD - very exciting!

I'm sure you're all aware of this but I'm posting a link to present aid - I intend to buy a couple of things instead of sending Christmas cards at work.

Lovely but cold day here
