I'm fine thanks though sooo tired too. Hard job, this mummying, isn't it, though the boys are lovely at the moment, bless them.

Had a chat with mum yesterday and discovered that she stopped breathing several times during her operation last week . Mum and Dad didn't mention this at the time, since they were busy looking after themselves and teaching the nurses what to do too, it seems So, once again, huge thanks for your prayers.

Continuing to pray for dd, Rosey. Is there any way that the school would consider moving her down a year?

I need to ask for prayer / help please! I have been asked to do a reading "of my choice" on a christmas theme for this Sunday's informal worship service, "and to share a few thoughts on that reading"...it's a short service with carols and the children performing songs, so they don't want a long sermon as such. Please could you pray as I prepare?

I'm thinking of using Micah 5, veses 2 to 5 (maybe leaving out v.3 as it's slightly obscure and I wouldn't be able to do it justice in the time given - is that all right, do you think? I'll leave the bit about the Assyrians out too...!) here And going down the line of how God has always had his heart set on reaching the ends of the earth, and wanting all people everywhere to know his "shalom" peace (that word 'shalom' has such depth of meaning, I'll look it up in the Hebrew later), and how Jesus' birth was the start of God's great plan for the world - "peace on earth" is what God has for each one of us as the most wonderful christmas persent imaginable, and it's also what He calls us to be bringers of - peace, hope, joy and love. What do you think?

That reading is lovely, although it would be a shame to leave out "until the time when she who is in labour has brought forth".

I had a look in CW times and seasons, and that reading is suggested for lessons & carols, so you might find a decent amount of info on the web. It sounds lovely though. If I can help, shout!

Also one child at nursery wanted to sing a song at snack time today - he sang 'Shine Jesus Shine' then said that was all he knew, so I sang the chorus and he joined in with me - lovely to be able to in a non-church nursery feels like I really should be there!

Thanks Panda, I feel a little better after a sleep, but guess who slept through picking DD up? I woke up at 3:10, said to DS we'd got to go get her, DS had wet himself, and while I was changing him, the school phoned up to see where I was... when I get round there (school is next door but one), the vicar's daughter was also there, so I collected her too (as the vicar is away and mum was at work, something had done wrong re: pickup...).

I may give you a call later if that's OK...

Hi Bramshott - I've got time! Good to 'see' you here - let us know how he does - are you able to get to see him at all?

We will see them over Christmas I hope. Just don't want the girls to tire him (and Granny, who is doing all the ferrying back and forth to hospital etc) out. It was all going pretty well - chemotherapy, things shrinking back etc, but now he has been in hosp again, and they've said no more chemotherapy until the New Year to give him a chance to recover from it.

Bramshott - will pray. Will he be home over Christmas?

Exam was much better than expected - must have been you guys. I amnaged to write for the entire 2 hours of the exam, got down loads of stuff that I couldnt have told you 2 mins before it started. I think i have passed, and that is what I need, though a B would help as that is what I need to get into the masters.

Have had pizza and a big glass of celebratory wine! I also handed in my Essay on CHristianity in Latin AMerica today, adn have one more to hand in tomorrow, so I am on top of everything.

at finding out about your mum stopping breathing, it is in some ways more shocking to hear about these things after the actual event - my mum often ends up in A&E / hospital and I only know about it a week or so after the event - makes me a bit and a bit Hope she is doing well though, continuing to pray for her recovery. How is your dad coping? xx Great Christmas name btw

My clients are like buses. Nothing for ages then 3 at once!

OK lots of prayer for my 'imaginary' 2nd pink line to turn into a real one! I've done another test this morning and I'm sure I can see something....or maybe it's all in my head . Dh is fast asleep and he won't thank me for waking him up to look for a very very faint line.
