I found a swan's feather in the park and the kids were so delighted with it. Their reaction really made me smile, my eldest said "Mum you've had a really successful day!".

What a lovely thread, I sometimes do a little gratitude exercise in my head but it'd be nice to share and also get a little vicarious joy from reading others posts!

A beautiful walk with my son in the park. A big blue sky with that glorious afternoon sunshine.

Hearing people really enjoying themselves the park pub's beer garden. The sound of normality coming back to the city.

Tried really hard on self care today.

A husband who is not afraid to pick the purple glass when he wants to!

An amazing local butcher.

Reading novels slowly because you already know that it will be difficult to find the next fiction read as good as the current one.

We did of course vote and what's date butter?

Date butter is literally butter and dates blended together in a food processor, delicious spread on toast or with pancakes!

I digress 😂

Grateful today for:-

My mum entering her last round of chemo and feeling more optimistic

Sitting in the back garden in the sun

Last nights leftover roast vegetables tasting delicious with pasta at lunchtime

Haha, I was also wondering what date butter was!

Feeling so happy for DH who is just doing so well at work. So great to see him feeling confident and feeling valued.

If never gets old watching the kids learn something new. Their excitement is so infectious.

It's the weekend. I've had a terrible week at work and I'm so happy to unplug and set it all aside for a bit.
