Looking back over the thread to do a summary, there is so much to thank God for in the past month or so:
Bobsmum coming more or less unscathed through a car crash, with bean intact, Podglet's bean doing well in 'secret' and most of all Pepperpot's wonderful news. God is good, never doubt it.

Lots of large and small struggles:
CaptainCaveman, CaptainDippy, MaryBS, Mufti, NQGU, Roseylea, Zipadisuzy and probably quite a few others struggling with negative feelings, anxiety and feelings of being a 'bad mummy'. Praying that you will derive your self worth from your Heavenly Father Who knows 'how we are made' and loves us with an unfailing love.
Harrisey with decisions to make about future ministry
NSFN for wisdom regarding relationships.
QueenofQuotes - giving thanks for a better relationship.
Creambunnie for wisdom and strength in dealing with a difficult marriage.
PandaG for a new job that's just right

Praying with ChocolatePeanut for poorly mother and baby, giving thanks that the news so far is good.

And giving thanks with Dumbledoresgirl for the recovery of NASW/Losty, who is now PhoenixSoaring, how marvellous is that?

We keep praying for OnlyJoking and MummytoT&F, who are both still in very hard places.

MumtoGusnAlbie, MorticiasMother, NotanOtter and Shreksmissus, let us know how we can continue to pray for you. If I have forgotten to mention anybody, God never forgets and He loves you.
And everyone who has a look at this thread, we know that 'our help comes from Him Who has made heaven and earth, Who loved us before we were formed and Who never abandons what He has begun. Praise be to His Holy Name.

Happy Birthday Finlay & Amber!!! Hope you have a super day of Celebrations Sooz! Has DH taken the day off work or anything?

My dad is coming down this pm so we are taking the girls to the local aquarium, should be fun. Is a beautiful sunny here day here after a drizzly start.

CaptainCaveman · 17/10/2007 13:32

Happy Birthday Zippy twins!!

Well, the course was FANTASTIC last night. I missed the first session last week, but last nights session was about blockages to growth - of course including past hurts, traumas and forgiveness.

I spoke to Brain (our vicar) afterwards and told him that I had really enjoyed it, especially as forgiveness is something I am wrestling with at the moment and received prayer for after last Sunday's service. He said "wow, bullseye!"

I used the content of Mary Pytches stuff this morning and do you know, Praise the Lord, I feel so uplifted. I asked God to open my wounds and cleanse them, I named my wounds as abuse, anxiety, stress, not being able to forgive. Guess what - I don't feel stressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
god is good and He answers our prayers

podglet · 17/10/2007 14:49

Go CC!! Glad you are no longer stressed

Mary - hurrah for DS and his spellings

Rosey - hurrah for your DS too and his fab report, how proud are you????

Happy Birthday Zippy twins! Hope you all have a fab day...

CD - snort, milky balloons

Pepperpots, please go to your GP and demand an early scan. Because of my history I was automatically given an early scan with DS and it really helped my anxiety. Praying for your little bean and you.

Am shattered. DS not very well last night. He ate a huge tea and drank all his milk before bed, had been coughing a little but no more than usual. Was carrying him up the stairs to bed and he coughed and brought up all his milk projectile stylee. I bellowed for DP to help (sick phobic) and put DS to bed. He then woke at 2am, had a whole bottle and was up for the day at 5.20. I have had a busy day and have just cleared the bedroom of furniture for the new carpet tomorrow, inc wardrobe and chest of drawers. Think I may go and have a little sit on the sofa...

DutchOma · 17/10/2007 14:56

Podglet, hope you are not off the sofa yet and have your feet on it too. Till half past three at least.
With love

Happy Birthday to your 2 gorgeous children Sooz!

Well, the interview went ok I think, I should know by the weekend so watch this space. I only want the job if it is 'right', so have prayed that I only get offered it if it is God's best for me - ie I don't have to ponder and turn it down. But, I know I will be disappointed if I do not get job offer, pride eh!

bit belated I know but Happy Birthday Zip twins.

Well i'm awake at silly hour - I thought the night watch was Mary's job.

Got all kinds of things swimming round my head and I can't get back to sleep. Mostly concerning xh and his now drink problem. All the what if's I guess. What if when he gets his driving license back he can't stop drinking and then not only does he end up loosing his license but his job too - bang goes the kids and my security as we will have no mortgage being paid.

What if he has the kids and he can't go without a drink the lo's are hardly big enough are they to ring me and say there's a problem.

I also have visions of him sat here on a Thurs eve while me and big lo's at practice being desperate for a drink.

I feel sick in my stomach with all this. I've prayed about it but still feel no peace and currently have a lump in my throat and just want to cry.

notsofarnow · 18/10/2007 04:32

Right going to try going back to bed. Don't feel anymore tired than I did an hour go - wish me luck.

MaryBS · 18/10/2007 07:13

CCM - glad you liked the sermon . Never seen anyone so pleased to receive a sermon before!

NSFN - sorry to hear of xh's troubles. Hoping and praying its just a blip - he doesn't seem to know WHAT he wants atm! Not being funny, but if he can't stay off the drink long enough to be looking after the little los, then I really don't think he should be with them - you know him better than us, is he responsible enough to take care of them? I think you need to lay the law down. If it were anyone else but their father, you probably wouldn't let them in the house??? Sorry, I know its hard, but I think you know I'm right, but it doesn't make the decision any easier, which id probably why you're not sleeping.... {{hugs}}

Please pray for me today, I've got a really difficult meeting at work...

DutchOma · 18/10/2007 07:31

Captain Caveman, you are a blessing to us and glad you are joining.
PS so glad to see you back, how is ds now?
Shreksmissus, so glad you are seeing God's answers to your prayers.
NSFN, praying that you will see God's direction in all these problems. What is your husband doing at the moment? How is ds? Has he recovered? Is he eating?
Mary, praying for you too that you will feel God with you. We both know that He always is, but it doesn't always feel like it, does it?
Soozy, hope your dts are not coming down with too much of a bump after their fab birthday. Congratulations to Amber for her puffin badge.

mary tbh I don't really know how much he is drinking but he says he can't not drink but i don't think its every night iyswim. And he has assured me that there is no way he will drink when he's got the children, or in my house.

But if he tells you its wednesday you'd check the paper to see if it really was.

ds is gettting there its just the eating thats the battle now, but he has just eaten all his breakfast on his own so now has a biscuit as a treat. Dc wants him to have flu jab but I don't want it to knock him down again before I go on hol so they said if he not better then ring them on Tues aft and they will see if they can reserve him one for when I get back.

Right should go get dressed really or i'm not going to be ready to do the school run. Thier done its just me. I've had about 3 hours sleep and the hour I did sleep when i went back to bed I dreamt that work have now insisted that I work lates and nights and I know its stupid but praying that its not true. (i know its just my subconcsious playing overtime)

PandaG · 18/10/2007 08:12

Hi NQGU!!!

Roseylea · 18/10/2007 13:21

NSFN sorry to hear about your stress re. your xh - not easy. I hope you have an easy day after your sleepless night, and a better night tonight.

Prying for N, Panda. I'm sure you're a brilliant support for her

I'm praying for you too Mary, with your difficult meeting at work. May God give you all the peace you need.

Pepperpots, it's exciting when pg symptoms start, isn't it? I'm praying for you ad your little one within, that God will wrap you in His care and be with you every step of the way until this little one sees daylight! (and beyond!)

ShreksMissus, great to hear about your prayer couplet. I hope it's a great support and help to you.

I had a brave moment yesterday - I've got to know a woman who works in the local shop and I asked her how she was and she replied that she was feeling very low, for no obvious reason but just really miserable. So I told her that I'd say a prayer for her, and I'd pray that her spirits would be lifted and that she'd have a really good day and know that God is with her. And she was so touched! So I was praying for her on and off all of yesterday, that God would touch her. I would so love to be like that all the time - open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Lord make me more like you!

podglet · 18/10/2007 13:41

Pepperpots - big cheer for sore boobs

DO - thank you for your kind words. Unfotunately my sit down lasted about 5 mins, poor DS woke up crying, then a chap turned up to view the work that needs doing to our garden not a good night again last night either I'm afraid, praying for good sleep for us all tonight!
