Looking back over the thread to do a summary, there is so much to thank God for in the past month or so:
Bobsmum coming more or less unscathed through a car crash, with bean intact, Podglet's bean doing well in 'secret' and most of all Pepperpot's wonderful news. God is good, never doubt it.

Lots of large and small struggles:
CaptainCaveman, CaptainDippy, MaryBS, Mufti, NQGU, Roseylea, Zipadisuzy and probably quite a few others struggling with negative feelings, anxiety and feelings of being a 'bad mummy'. Praying that you will derive your self worth from your Heavenly Father Who knows 'how we are made' and loves us with an unfailing love.
Harrisey with decisions to make about future ministry
NSFN for wisdom regarding relationships.
QueenofQuotes - giving thanks for a better relationship.
Creambunnie for wisdom and strength in dealing with a difficult marriage.
PandaG for a new job that's just right

Praying with ChocolatePeanut for poorly mother and baby, giving thanks that the news so far is good.

And giving thanks with Dumbledoresgirl for the recovery of NASW/Losty, who is now PhoenixSoaring, how marvellous is that?

We keep praying for OnlyJoking and MummytoT&F, who are both still in very hard places.

MumtoGusnAlbie, MorticiasMother, NotanOtter and Shreksmissus, let us know how we can continue to pray for you. If I have forgotten to mention anybody, God never forgets and He loves you.
And everyone who has a look at this thread, we know that 'our help comes from Him Who has made heaven and earth, Who loved us before we were formed and Who never abandons what He has begun. Praise be to His Holy Name.

At least things are going better, Podmog, that is good news!

Did DD go back to sleep in the end, Sooz?

Gotta go rescue DD3 .......

Notquitegrownup · 31/10/2007 11:20

Good morning all. Well, Bible Study went OK, I think. I really prayed that I wouldn't worry too much about it and that folks would ask the questions they needed to ask.

It was made more interesting by a visiting Bishop turning up!!!! Agh!

Steve and Onlyjoking are going through difficult days at the moment. Praying for them.

God bless all.

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 11:35

THE BISHOP!!!? Good grief, NQGU! Well Done for holding your own!

Yes, continuing to pray for OJ and Steve, and for mummytoT&F - and I've had Xavielli on my heart a lot recently too - Do you remember she popped in a couple of months back to ask for prayers as she's split from her DP!!? Poor love, I hope she is doing ok ......

Notquitegrownup · 31/10/2007 11:52

Morning CD! He was just a bishop, actually, from a long way away, not our local one - somehow that was a little less scary - though I didn't actually know who he was until someone said "So what do you think, Bishop?!!" Gulp!

I had missed the post from Xavielli - thank you for flagging that up. So, how are all of the Dippies today?

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 11:55

We are all ok, P has an awful cold, poor love. Had a good night last night though, which was great! How are the un-grown-up ones!!?

Can't go to Light Party with my friends cos "DH can't gaurantee he'll be back from work in time."

Notquitegrownup · 31/10/2007 12:16

Aw, maybe dh will be back in time, as a surprise. How is his new job panning out by the way? Is he having to work a lot later these days? And how are your tablets working out for you? Sorry, that's lots of questions! Perhaps I ought to email you, rather than hijacking the thread, but on the other hand . . .

Notgrownupds1 is still struggling with life, but I am getting to the point where I am just not sure how to help him, so have handed him over in prayer, and am just going to concentrate on loving him instead - probably what I should have done a while ago.

This mummying job is jolly tricky, isn't it?!

Big hugs for all.

podglet · 31/10/2007 14:53

Afternoon!

CD - get well hugs for little P - hope things ok with you. DS not so happy with nursery this morning. Hung off me like a little limpet and really cried. Broke my heart to leave him still, only 23 weeks to go then mat leave again I go back full time on Monday

Podmog - hoping the church listens and acts....

Mary - how is DS with Halloween? Friends DS2 is off the wall poor love.

My baby is 1 tomorrow can't believe where that year has gone. Please can I have prayers for him as he adjusts to days without mummy and for him to be a happy boy at nursery.

MaryBS · 31/10/2007 17:17

Thanks Podglet. He's OK at the moment, because no-one has been to the door, except his best friend from school.

I'm just feeding them, then we're going to a Lite party, so that will keep him out of terror's way

NorthernLurker · 31/10/2007 17:23

Podglet - have prayed for ds - and also for you in this adjustment
I'm going back to work too but not till April when B will be 1. Not looking forward to it right now.

CD - will pray for P's cold.

And for all of us that we may be able to hand over all our burdens to God and trust in his goodness. (Sang the Townend 'The Lord is my Shepherd' at church on Sunday - can you tell )

MaryBS · 31/10/2007 20:18

We went to the Lite party - and the Pastor scared DS badly, because he was dressed up in a bright green wig, green cape and mask over his eyes

So much for the non-scary option. DD enjoyed herself, DS enjoyed the food, so I guess it wasn't too bad. It was a bit preachy though... and although people were friendly, they didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome.

So where was the bishop visiting from NQGU? It was a bit odd they didn't warn you!

NorthernLurker · 31/10/2007 20:26

Why had your pastor gone to the party dressed as broccoli?

Notquitegrownup · 31/10/2007 20:30

Hi Mary. He is from Sudan - it was v. interesting to hear about life there, and he is a very gentle person, not wearing full regalia etc. To be fair, we have been praying for him, but we have rather a lot of visitors who periodically spend time in Oxford studying at one of the colleges, and who remain on our prayer list for a while - I'm still trying to get the hang of who is who on the prayer list! I'm the new girl in this very established housegroup - a fair number of the members have been there 20 years plus - so I just assumed that I would find out who X was at some stage. I certainly did!

at your pastor. He hadn't quite got the right idea there, had he?

Right, I've had one glass of wine - a rare treat - and find that I can't type any more!!

G'night all.

Notquitegrownup · 31/10/2007 20:31

LOL Northernlurker

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 20:45

Evening! Tiiiiiiiired, lost my diary - bottom.

We're ok, NQGU - DH's new job is a PITA, TBH, but going ok.... can't wait for Christmas as he has 2 weeks off - yippee! Yes yes RE: DS1, just love him, that comes 1st, everything else will fall into place.....

All you need is love .....

Praying that DS will settle into nursery, podglet - 23 weeks isn't that lng in the grand scheme of things - he will be just fine sweetie - Happy Birthday to him for tomorrow (lots of kisses from my girls ) ... in case I forget, which I am apt to do atm.

Love and Prayers. xxxx

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 20:48

ROFL @ brocolli!

I get that like after 1 glass of the old Vino too, NQGU - it isn't just you!

MaryBS · 31/10/2007 21:26

He looked more like a leprachaun. He said he was a lantern... . And he wasn't "my" pastor, it would have been easier if DS HAD known him. He's the Baptist pastor from the next village.

Once he knew he scared DS, he took his mask off, but the damage was done. DS didn't want to join in anymore!

PandaG · 31/10/2007 21:44

Hello all

back form a few days away, the DC are still with my parents and we had 3 days away in Devon - a freebie courtesy of DH's boss lending us his holiday flat - lovely! I was feeling sad and flat having come home from a much lookied forward to brwak, but spending 20 mins catching up on this thread has lifted my spirits.

Mary, how you doing honey? sorry I missed you the other night. Praying my lovely. Praying too for R that he is not freaked by the costume for too long.

Pepperpots - that is AMAZING news fantastic.

Cream Bunnie, praying for you and all your family.

CD, praying for your sleep, and that your gorgeous girlies sleep well.

DO - praying for your relationship with your daughter, praying for reconciliation and understanding for both of you...

Rosey, so glad you saw your smiley bouncy daughter again, praying that she is able to cope with the next half term at school.

NQGU praying for your DS, and for peace for you as you hand the situatiom over to God.

Podmog, again, I pray for peace for you, and reconciliation with the other person at church. Also that God uses the sermon next week to promote healing.

QoQ - glad you got to see your grandad, and introduce DS3 to him.

CC praying that you are successful with the TTC!

please pray for my family - my Mum's cousin died last week, the funeral is on Friday. My gran and mum are saddened, mum is an onloy child and her cousins are more like siblings. My sis is having my DC for the day as thety are still at my Ps until the weekend - I can't get to them until Friday night.

NorthernLurker · 31/10/2007 21:46

A green lantern....hmmmm....oh he's a baptist pastor is he - all explained now

Panda - sorry to hear of your bereavement.

Notquitegrownup · 31/10/2007 22:33

Back, briefly! Prayer requesthere

G'night all.

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 23:24

about your cousin, Panda. Praying the funeral goes ok - hoe old was he / she? Praying for the family as they struggle with the loss.

Thank you for linking to that thread, NQGU - Will praying for that lady and her DH. xx

Night all. xx

MaryBS · 01/11/2007 07:17

Is it explained, NL? Perhaps you can explain it to me I couldn't figure out why he was a green lantern...

I HAVE figured out why I thought he was preachy - he was telling the children what to believe. Our vicar, when he works with the children, draws out of them the answers. So instead of TELLING them Jesus is like superman, saving the world, our vicar gets them to think about it and tell HIM that Jesus is like superman, and why.

I've been praying for that lady re: IVF. Sounds so similar to what my Bro and SIL went through.

Panda, I thought you were away, as you didn't get back to me and you weren't on here. So sorry to hear of your mum's cousin. Praying for peace and comfort for you all.

DS is fine now, he's just got up, and is dragging me away, so I'd better go...

Love and God's blessings to all!

MaryBS · 01/11/2007 08:06

Oh, and a happy All Saints' Day to one and all, and especially a happy 1st birthday to the little Podglet

DutchOma · 01/11/2007 09:02
