blanktimes Thank you for those links. I got the relevant OS maps from the library. I love the megalithic portal site! I have it saved in my favourites, as there are quite a few around here too. I feel very lucky to live here, close to ancient sites.
Another lovely loaf of bread done, and going out for a walk while the sunshine is here.

speakout · 28/04/2019 20:30

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable day, getting dark here now, just settling down with my peppermint tea, my familiar kneading his blankie curled up at my sid, settled now because he has been on high alert all day.

One of the good things about having visitors is that the house gets a good clean! So I am enjoying that.
An early night for me soon, as a 7am yoga class tomorrow, my cough and congestion have subsided, headache gone, so I am looking forward hopefully to a good week.
The outlook is calm. Just the way I like it.
I am send some calm and peaceful energy to anyone who needs it.

Speakout so pleased you're feeling better. This afternoon I've had a sore throat and feeling congested too, I'm hoping it doesn't linger too long.

My shopping trip wasn't all that productive, but on the way home I noticed there was a psychic fayre in one of the local hotels so decided to pop in. There was various workshops going on and I joined a sound bath. All I can say is... Wow!! I've been to a few sound baths, but never one as powerful as this. The practitioner was amazing, I've never heard anything quite like it.

That wasn't my plan for today at all, but was absolutely what I needed to clear some blockages and get rid of stuff I've been holding on to. It's funny how these go, isn't it?

InTheTempest · 28/04/2019 21:03

speakout good that your cold seems to be subsiding, Violet I hope yours goes quickly too.

That's excellent that you found the psychic fayre today, sounds like it was perfect timing for you.

I have enjoyed a quiet day at home, which on reflection is what I needed too Smile

Hearhere · 28/04/2019 21:32

Thank you for the warm welcome 😊
Another lovely loaf of bread done
I also bake my own bread and it feels like a very symbolic and meaningful thing to do.... I should confess I use a bread maker so I'm a lightweight🤭

Hearhere · 28/04/2019 21:34

I haven't been to a psychic fair since about 1989, I must look out for some they've obviously come on a long way since then!

Elphame · 28/04/2019 22:14

Welcome HearHere I'd not heard of the Sabian system either. I'll take a look later.

Well I've climbed 3 hill forts, visited an ancient church and a holy well and am kicking myself for missing the spring two hundred yards from it that reputedly cured warts. I'm not sure I have the energy to go back just yet.

Tomorrow is a day of wrangling trades before I head back south for the summer. I really don't want .

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/04/2019 07:32

Morning. Sorry for posting and running on Saturday. I realised that it was the last saturday of the month and that I was supposed to be doing things that took me away from the computer and into the hills. I have no idea how many miles I ended up driving but I feel about ready to tackle the change that is about to be thrown my way. I was made redundant and the notice/job finishes soon. Thank you very much for your thoughts yashmis thank you for taking the time to answer my question, it is really interesting what you said about me seeming to be more in balance atm. I am feeling it. Still working on balance in my life but it is definitely improved a long way from the ball of stress and emotion that originally wondered onto the thread.

A giant welcome to all the new people - sorry very flying visit this morning. 7:30am and running late. Hmm

Elephame north wales is a special place, sorry you are going to miss it so much.

YashmisCrone · 29/04/2019 09:44

Good morning sisters,

It’s a grey and still day here- the wind has dropped in what feels like a pregnant pause in energy. I feel anticipation for the fertile energy of Beltaine, just around the corner ✨

Welcome Hearhere glad you found us. I hadn’t heard of Sabian symbols either.

Rosa you’re very welcome, glad it resonated for you x

Violet so wonderful to hear that sound bath was waiting for you. Powerful synchronicity there, just when you needed it Smile

speakout and Tempest I love the conversation on manifestation energy.

I think it’s so true that the energy we generate and omit is what we attract to us. Like we see the world through glasses tinted with our primary emotion at any given time, then in turn we receive more of the same.. call it cognitive dissonance, LOA, whatever. It just seems to work that way!

Like speakout says other people recognise when we treat ourselves with respect- and they respect us too. very true IME.

Totally agree Tempest that this is another reason why self care is essential Smile

We are goddess. Pure and simple
I love that! 🙏

BlankTimes that’s a powerful oracle for the day! Mine said something about communicating in groups Grin

rivierliedje it does sound magical where you live. I’m really feeling like eating some freshly baked bread now!

Elphame your day yesterday sounds amazing. No wonder you don’t want to head back down south! It feels like your heart wants to reside in Wales.

Hills I’m glad that was of some use. I do think your balance and equilibrium is tangible in your posts. When I read them I feel optimistic for what is to come for you, like all the change is leading to something better in your life.

Wishing everyone a magical Monday! 💫

Good morning

I live that picture Speakout, it makes me want to drive out to the countryside and dance in fields of wild flowers!

My reality is somewhat more dull. I'm still struggling with this sore throat and feeling generally tired and run down. I'm lucky that I have the option to work from home if I want to, so at least I didn't have to drive this morning.

speakout · 29/04/2019 15:22

VioletCharlotte

I am sorry to hear you are below par, take special care of yourself.
I have lit a candle in my garden for you and for anyone else who needs some bright solar energy today.

I also have a lurking lurgy, fever, sore throat...was actually just about to head off to mum's when I realised I was boiling hot.

weird.

I have been thinking a lot about the future and where I want to live. Will be nice to get out in some nature. It's very - what's the opposite of "grounding" - to live in a concrete area, I find. I don't find things like takeaway joints particularly useful so not really any benefits for me.

am going to look up some goddess art now!

SalemSpellman · 29/04/2019 17:11

@RosaWaiting I've recently bought a book about being an urban witch. I'll find out the exact title for you. I've found it grounding just to have a few nice indoor plant pots, and a window to look out of whilst I drink tea.

VioletCharlotte · 29/04/2019 17:12

Speakout thank you so much, that really cheered me up ❤️

Rosa sorry to hear you're feeling poorly too, there seems to be a lot of it about at the moment. Funny you should say you've been thinking about where you'd like to live as I've been doing the same. Like you, I live in a very build up area and I'm surrounded by other houses. I love my house inside, but I'm craving peace and quiet and space.

rivierliedje · 29/04/2019 20:22

Hearhere I do a no knead bread, so it's mostly a lesson in patience! rather than any hard work. It is still a new skill, I grew up baking cakes and biscuits, but somehow not bread (it was a country with a very strong tradition and custom of brilliant bakeries, so was perhaps not as worth it as it is here) and the few times I tried it never worked. So when I got the bread book from the library a couple of months ago and it worked I was really pleased. Sixth loaf now and everytime has been different and good. At some point I will brave branching out to a different type of bread.

I am trying to slowly work nature and witchery into my life. Like the bread, I also go for a walk every day if at all possible, just for grounding. I am very lucky YashmisCrone with where I live. It takes about 5 minutes to walk off road and a few more to be off any path at all. I can see the sea from most of the windows, and the natural pattern of the day and year is very apparent so close to nature. I miss having an outdoor space that is mine though, which I can just sit in. On the first sunny, warm day of this year, I just sat in a patch of grass on the side of the road, it felt a bit odd, but it was too nice not to do it.
I am also very conscious of only living here for a short while more, before moving and having to relearn the patterns for the new place.

I am trying to find focus. I have a presentation/talk things to do this week and I cannot focus on it to prepare. I might try some candles later. (another thing I have found here, the winter was very dark, so I had constant candles, now it is so light most of the time, that candles seem almost wasteful or pointless, which I know they are not.)

VioletCharlotte · 29/04/2019 20:58

River I think I may have missed the post about where you live. From what you say about the dark winters, it sounds like one of the Nordic countries?

Loyaultemelie · 29/04/2019 21:31

Good evening all,
Sorry to hear some of you are also feeling bad. I love that candle Speakout such a lovely energy.

Elphame I'm glad you have enjoyed your trip I hope your injury is healing.

Rivier the idea of working magic into your life like kneading bread such a powerful analogy

I'm back to the hospital tomorrow to see what on Earth I can do about this slow torture knee, once that's over I can look forward to Beltane.

YashmisCrone · 29/04/2019 21:54

rivierliedje I loved reading your description of where you live. I’m less amongst nature but did move a short way out of the city a few years ago. I do love being on the edge of the moor with the river and woods within walking distance, I’m also lucky to still be not too far from my beloved sea energy.

Like Salem when I did live in the city I found plants invaluable to feel connected, along with growing herbs, visiting parks and noticing how nature finds a way, even in cracks in the pavement, walls etc. I think I used to use my oil burner more then too. When I was studying, I swore by a combination of rosemary and lime for focus.

speakout both the image you posted this morning and the beautiful candle in your garden gladdened my heart. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Sending get well soon wishes to Violet and Rosa and positive energy to Loyaul for a productive appointment tomorrow, I’ll be thinking of you ✨

I’ve experienced some bright positive energy with the clients I’ve worked with today- I often get to work with the darker side of the emotional spectrum so it was lovely to be with.

I saw this ‘magic cake’ recipe for Beltane and really liked the idea in the same way I enjoy hearing about all the bread making magic.

Good morning bright souls.

I have slept for 10 hours, feel refreshed, dreams were a little too lively and soul seraching, but I am sure they have done me good.
I dream a lot about troubled times from my past, with lots of recurring elements, but I am not sure how helpful it is to rake them over in daytime. I feel a lot of them are echoes of a distant time, like like reaching us from a distant star that died eons ago.
I feel fine, and that is good for me.,

I wonder if anyone works with dreams and has had any benefit from doing so? I know it's popular, perhaps for divination or shadow work?

YashmisCrone that cake looks amazing, have you tried it? I am sure I have seen that herb growing in my local wood.

Talking of wild spaces. I live close to woodland, near a city, the woodland isn't in a wild place, but it is native, and it is protected by the woodland trust. I have a couple of woods right on my doorstep, they are quite large .
I also have a beautiful river 800 yards from my home, fast flowing, heavily gorged in places, but accessible and shallow near me, trees grow prolifically along its banks.
I live on he outskirts of a small town, the name of the town is gaelic for "valley of trees".
The sea is a 12 minute drive from my home, the next small town along, lovely unspoilt beaches, very little in the way of development, just the ocassional little coastal village, so miles of dunes, beaches rocky coves etc.

I have my favourite little "quickie" walks whan I want a quick fix. Sometimes I just go down to the river to collect stones or water or cleanse crystals.
But life forse is everywhere, not just wild spaces.
I am interested in derelict sites in cities, certain varieties of plants start to populate even over rubble, often looks like an orchestrated repopulation, the pioneer species, buddleja is often the first to arrive, grasses, rushes, it doesn't take long for nature to start to weave her magic. It is hard to supress that force.

I better get up, my familiars will be wondering where breakfast is, I need to crank up the day.

I hope a little Gaia magic finds you today.

Yes yes I am very into dreams but they are slippery and tricksy and hard to work with!
When I was younger I had much better dream recall and more vivid dreams, lately I find them very hard to remember

Hearhere · 30/04/2019 10:37

I have had a handful of dreams which seemed to me extremely prophetic, in many ways it's my experiences with dreams have given me a strong feeling that there is more to life than just the physical here and now

YashmisCrone · 30/04/2019 10:42

Good morning,

I haven’t made the cake speakout but love the look of it too. I was also wondering if that’s what I’d seen in the woods. I’m not much of a baker but have made a few things throughout the year to mark the turning of the year. I do like the magic of it.

I have used dreams for shadow work- for me the feelings I’m left with can give me new levels of understanding, perspective or acceptance depending on what I’m dreaming about. Like you, I think the subconscious will get on with processing largely on its own but I do find it healing to take notice when a new level of understanding comes to me. If it feels right, I’ll use that as the basis of some shadow work. I did this with a dreams I had regarding hurt from past relationships for example. Over time a theme emerged and I did some self healing work around that theme. I’m interested in lucid dreaming for recurring dreams/nightmares as described here but haven’t done any yet.

It’s interesting to hear your experiences Hearhere

Wishing you all the best for today’s appointment Loyaul

Love to all x

speakout · 30/04/2019 13:44

So interesting to hear of the dream work. It's not an area I have explored, far too many other things to distract me!

I am not a baker either, just don't do cakes. Usually a disaster.
I consider myself a fairly good cook generally, can pretty much turn my hand to anything, but cakes no- maybe because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, and don't really eat cakes very much.

Becoming overcast here, busy morning out shopping with DD, Ikea, Costco and food, I have made a chilli , it's simmering away in the slow cooker.

I am a bit "people'd out" right now, and it's just family, plus weeken entertaining, I could do with a day pottering on my own , I need a trip to my local charity shop, I need some space to burn incense and listen to my music.
I have some photography to do also, but really can't find the flow if my ( lovely) family memebers want to watch or interrupt or make " helpful" suggestions. So that will have to wait.
I will have my day soon! I don't want to wish away my family!!

Hello, I hope you don’t mind me tip toeing in quietly. I’ve been reading the wisdom on this thread since the beginning but have never posted, possibly I feel shy amongst the skill evident here.

I need some advice though, about a tree. I have fruit trees in my garden that are very special to me, and one has very unusually not blossomed this year, although all the others have. I pruned them all last year and wonder if I’ve cut too much away? The other trees I pruned are fine, smothered in flowers. Anyway, in case I have cut too much, I have offered a gift in way of apology, and also sat with the tree, touching the parts that were cut and saying a silent sorry. Is there anything else you wise women can suggest?

Many thanks Flowers
