Morning everyone, lovely day again here, long may it last. The retrograde seems to have sparked resolution to several outstanding projects so far, long may this continue.

Loyaul One of my cats used to yowl like that over what I think was a territorial thing,
She'd come so far with me and the dog, about 150 yards from home, then stop and do that yowling which I took to be a warning to mean 'I can't go any further, my boundary is here' or 'Don't go any further, here be Dragons' or 'This is the edge of the world, don't go any further you'll fall off' and she'd wait there until we returned, yowl at us again, then walk home with us perfectly happy. None of our other cats have ever done that, she did it every time she accompanied us for several years.
PriestessModwena Hello and Welcome, grab a cushion and a cuppa. Amethyst is a form of quartz and quartz is one of the hardest minerals next to diamond. Extreme quick temperature change can damage quartz, as can dropping it on a hard surface, but apart from that, it's fine. Many quartz points have dings in the points, they still work. The internal rainbows reflected in a lot of quartz wouldn't appear if the piece was literally crystal-clear.
Cracks and other imperfections in stones make them what they are, no I'd never reject a stone because of that, only ever if it didn't 'feel' right. visual appearance isn't everything, it's just superficial. Look up the Cracked Pot Story
I have some enhydro crystals, they contain bubbles of air or oil. They don't form in clear perfect stones, they formed when there's imperfections in the crystal which trapped the oil or water millennia ago.
Speakout delighted you've had a lovely holiday, I too know the homecoming feeling well.
May everyone have a magical day.
