Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Me too Speakout I much prefer to be alone or with one or two special people.

Just realised I typed the same sentence twice at the bottom of my post and sent you double lots of love Lavender 😊💕

CircumzenithalArc · 06/06/2019 19:17

Hi LusciousLavender
Am I right in thinking Glastonbury is going to be totally mental around the solstice
Yes it will be, so will anywhere with stone circles.

I'm so sorry to hear of the upheaval you've been going through.

Because you're asking for stones, I would recommend Jade for healing relating to female reproduction and Rose Quartz also for this area.
I hope it's ok, I consulted my Crystal Oracle deck, and it drew Peridot for you.
I have attached info. You can find Peridot at most good new-age shops. Hold it in the palm of your hand when you need.

Shock I love that arc!

I had no idea you and Yashmis were talking about circumzenithal arcs! I skimmed through some of the previous threads but I must have completely missed that page...

Here's a pic of one I saw in Dove Dale, Peak District last summer.

Any Witches Here? Part 8.
ReganSomerset · 06/06/2019 19:35

I'm not a witch, but do have a question for those that are spiritually inclined. When we moved into our house, some things were slightly odd. The bedroom that is now the baby's room had a penny holding itself a few inches above the ground on the wall, but it wasn't glued or adhered in any way and wouldn't go back when removed. A baby sock also did this halfway down the chest of drawers- I came in one day to find it stuck there, but couldn't find anything it was adhered to.

There was also a horseshoe nailed to a wooden post in the garden, with a weird four-directional metal thing on top of it. We're in the process of clearing the garden and DH has put the post in the skip at the front of the house. Is there any way that bad juju (to borrow a phrase from Greys Anatomy) of some form could result from this? Should I do something else with the horseshoe before the skip gets collected? Have I totally lost the plot?

speakout · 06/06/2019 19:49

ReganSomerset

Hi, I am afraid I often look to the mundane when faced with things like this. The penny may have been adereing to a tiny spot of plaster or paint, the sock may heve been snagged on a small wood splinted which became inbedded in he sock.

Horseshoes and brasses were very popular years ago and were common place in many homes and gardens, so I wouldn't attach any great significance.

Sorry if that's not the answer you are looking for!

about 33 posts or so from the end of the thread. I didn't know what it was, I happily called it a smile in the sky and couldn't find it on cloud appreciation, Yashmis (are your ears burning ) found this link so then we knew its name www.physics.org/article-questions.asp?id=58

Yours is lovely, mine looked vivid like that although not as much of the circumference showed, but by the time I'd gone indoors and found the camera, then got back out there it was fading fast.

Hi ReganSomerset I agree with Speakout always look for the logical explanations first. I was visiting someone who was convinced they had a ghost because they said they could hear it moving upstairs. Two or three times they drew my attention to a noise upstairs, all I could hear was the same tic-tic noise which moved around when my central heating starts up and warm water moves through the metal pipes. To this day I'm convinced their ghost was expanding pipework.

As for a horseshoe nailed to a wooden post in the garden, with a weird four-directional metal thing on top of it
Is the four directional thing a weather vane or a weather station, maybe a homemade version of this sort of thing
www.bitsandpiecesuk.co.uk/product/durable-metal-garden-weather-station#&gid=1&pid=1

Horseshoes, it depends on which area of the country you live in as to whether they are upright or not, but both ways are meant to signify good luck.

ReganSomerset · 06/06/2019 20:55

Thank you, this is very reassuring. I doubt the sock had wood in it because the drawers are covered with a layer of plastic and are wood effect rather than wood, but my main concern was not accidentally undoing something designed to protect in removing the horseshoe and thus leaving us open to bad juju. I can live with the mysterious sock.

I'm a bit superstitious (and blame my mother for that) but don't desire any evidence of the supernatural.

They are BlankTimes! Wink

Loving the sky smile/cloud appreciation synchronicity Grin fab pictures too 🙏

speakout I’ve just had a lightbulb moment reading your post from earlier about the way you’ve been feeling and the link to collective grief/loss. I’ve been feeling similarly and had dreams that now make sense in light of your perspective. I hadn’t made the connection. Thank you- i feel lighter now I can make sense of it.

Kalim8 welcome. I see you’ve had some lovely ideas from our wise sisters about your DD. When I read your post I thought of this article I read previously:

www.kendracunov.com/2018/10/29/boredom-infinity/

I’m a bit of a ‘power of the mind’ kind of witch. Reframing concepts that can feel negative is always a useful tool for me.

Lavender I’m sorry that you’ve been through this. Again I’d agree with the wise words of sisters and focus on self care as a priority- riding the waves of grief as gently as you can.

Hello Regan 👋 I’m another one who’d advocate a logical approach to these happenings, and trying not to feed the situation fear. It may help you feel more settled to cleanse/clear your home. Many of us use sage/incense/smudge spray following a physical clean of the space with the windows opened to release unwanted energy. Then filling the space with things that represent the kind of energy you’d like there (eg symbols of love, peace, harmony etc) At it’s most basic level it helps you feel in control of the energy of your home.

I’m glad to be home again this evening after another demanding work day. I’ve noticed I’ve been clearing/cleansing my work space quite frequently of late- a reminder to myself to take care to keep balanced. Today as I worked I had the windows open, an oil burner on my desk with lavender and geranium whilst listening to this music previously shared by speakout Just the lift I needed Smile

Wishing everyone a peaceful evening 💫

YashmisCrone · 06/06/2019 21:26

Just read this- I don’t really understand how Jupiter is closer to us but it sounds exciting?!

mysticalraven.com/news/15711/jupiter-will-be-so-close-to-earth-this-week-you-will-be-able-to-see-its-moons

VioletCharlotte · 06/06/2019 22:19

Yashmis thanks for sharing that article - how exciting! It's pretty mind blowing stuff isn't it? Jupiter is 398 million miles from our planet. Stats like that put everything into perspective somehow, that we're such a tiny part of something so enormous.

That's why I'm a firm believer that there is life on other planets. It's just not logical that out of the whole of the solar system, our little planet is the only one that's inhabited.

I really hope the sky's clear on Monday so we can see it! 🌎🌙⭐️

Meadowlight · 07/06/2019 13:38

Thank you YashmisCrone for the Jupiter link - exciting! Would anybody be interested in a ‘Jupiter Connection’ on the 10th or the 15th? Maybe we could look together at a specific time and raise some lovely expansive energy between us all Smile.

Violet I so agree with you about life on other planets. It’s the more logical alternative to me.

Today is the end of a long week for me and I’m ready for some family downtime and some proper house cleansing. Yesterday whilst driving home from work, I saw the brightest, strongest rainbow I’ve ever seen, it was remarkable - a proper gift from goddess, and it stayed with me all the way home. Unfortunately no pot of gold on my doorstep, but ah well - abundance has many forms, and it reminded me of life’s many other riches. I am grateful.

speakout · 07/06/2019 17:36

Just grabbing a seat, having a hectic week, sometimes hard to maintain focus when we have so many things to do.

YashmisCrone thank you for posting that link, it's so interesting, I will certainly find my binoculars and have a look, the alignment as we pass orbits should be spectacular.
A great time for working with abundance, in all its forms, business dealings, law and structure. I find the energy a little tricky to work with , representing patriarchal power or masculine authority, we are so out of kilter in society right now. It will be interesting to watch.

VioletCharlotte I agree, in fact I think it is unlikely that we are alone in the universe. The conditions for life could spring up anywhere- and the Universe is vast.

Meadowlight lovely to hear of your house cleansing, and the gift from the goddess. These things can be so poignant, and a great reminder to be aware of all the good things we have in life.

This combination of warm/wet/sunny weather is a little annoying for us laundry witches, enticed outside by a pot of gold, only to deliver a deluge. But I have not seen my garden so verdant and bursting full of growth. It's magnificent.

Just grabbing a seat for a few minutes too- watching the rain and sipping peppermint tea before I head out again. Storms forecast for later here.

I hope you are able to have a quieter evening speakout
That’s really interesting about Jupiter’s energy- thank you for the insight. I’m another one who thinks it’s unrealistic to believe that our little planet would be the only place where life exists.

I love your description of your gift from the goddess Meadowlight

I wanted to share this article- lovely looking sun cookies and some interesting solstice folk customs discussed I thought.

gathervictoria.com/2016/06/10/sweet-magic-summer-solstice-honey-cookies

Hope everyone has a lovely evening

Meadowlight · 07/06/2019 18:55

YashmisCrone those cookies look absolutely delicious, I might well give them a try Smile

BlankTimes · 07/06/2019 23:06

Yashmis Oh those cookies look divine, I've put on half a stone just looking at the amazing foodie pics on her website.

Speakout my garden's similar, everything's so full of life. I don't use any chemicals and I'm not on the ball enough to plan a permaculture garden although I feel I should. I've found over the years that the slugs just don't like the taste of these plants in my haphazard garden.

Good morning, loving the look of those cookies too, so perfect for summer.

Another wet start to the day here. lying in bed having my mandatory coffee I will have to get up soon and start work. OH is off today and not on call, so he can carry the load for me in terms of lifts/cooking/shopping.

I may even get out to the forest today, it's been nearly two weeks since I have paid a visit, I will probably have some time later in the day.
I hope everyone has a magical day.

I have just accidentaly ordered myself anobsidian Mala necklace.

I am by nature a thrifty person. I don't like buying things at all, so does mot come naturally to me!
I have been wearing a small piece of obsidian for protection in the past few months and it has really helped me - I am an absorbalov when it comes to other people's moods and feelings, and the stone helps put up a barrier for me.

I had been mulling over some other obsidian necklaces, and had put one in my basket on Amazon.
I went to bbuy a couple of other items an hour ago in a hurry, and before i knew it clicked and checked everything out, including the necklace- I forgot it was in my basket.

I toyed witht he idea of cancelling the order- but then I thought- hell no. it was meant for me.
Arrives tomorrow.

GeeIneverthoughtofthat · 08/06/2019 12:24

speakout - it was clearly meant to be!

I hope that you enjoy your lovely new Mala. 😊

YashmisCrone · 08/06/2019 13:06

Lovely flowers BlankTimes. I think haphazard is a wonderful way to garden (or do many things for that matter!)

Laundry magic delayed until the showers are over I’ve spent a few minutes admiring the haphazard/wild nature of my garden too- the wild strawberries wouldn’t be thriving in a more well-kempt space, I’m pleased with how my tomatoes are coming on and this cutting (I don’t know what it is) given to me by a friend is doing well. I love the geometric pattern. It feels protective somehow. The one my friend has produces ‘babies’ and has spread.

speakout I love that you accidentally bought that mala and agree it was meant to be! The goddess steps in so many ways to give us what we need I think. I hope you are able to touch base with your lovely forest today.

After a busy week at work and a trip to the theatre last night I’ve been enjoying some much needed glorious solitude this morning. I can feel my energy clearing and spirit calming.

I hope everyone has some magic in their weekend 💫

Lessons for the day:

1 : witchcraft is not always safe
2: head injuries bleed an awful lot!

( I am OK really, only minor damage!)

speakout · 08/06/2019 15:43

Elphame on no, what has happened?

OP posts:
Elphame · 08/06/2019 16:09

Luckily just a bad graze on the top of my head! It's a good job I have dark hair as I can't wash the blood out of it at the moment and it's really sore and uncomfortable.

A witch friend and I decided to scope out a abandoned cottage with quite an atmosphere I'm told this morning. She'd visited it a few months ago and found it very "odd" and wanted to go back. A few strange things happened on the track up to it, she has a particular phobia and this was triggered. When she reached it she was actually knocked to the ground.

To cut a long story short, we set up up a long dark track to it and the atmosphere was closing in a bit. Next thing I knew I was on the floor with blood pouring from my head. There was a low branch across the path completely masked by some wispy leafy greenery. A real booby trap! We decided to abort the plan and she drove me home as I probably wasn't safe to drive.

We will return! Places don't get rid of me that easily.

BlankTimes · 08/06/2019 17:19

Ouch Elphame

Can you make some sterile salt solution [half a teaspoon of natural salt to 1 pint boiling water, let it cool] and dab it on the graze until you have time to thoroughly clean it?

I'd add the same as a final rinse, maybe with a drop or two of Lavender EO.
