Where does all the time go?? MN Christian Prayer Request Thread JULY 2007: WEEK 2!!

Summary from last week:

KSM - DD had operation last Thurs (5th) to remove adnoids & have grommets fitted. No news yet.

PandaG - Praise God her friend's DD who was in hospital has had a DX for her rash & is home, feeling a lot better. Prayers for Panda as she is feeling low atm.

Suzy - Prayers for DNephew who has been admitted to hospital because his kidneys are leaking urine.

tasja - On-going prayers for her child-minding business to pick up.

fannyannie - Things are going well with DS3 and DH - Prayers this would continue and get better & better!

BedofRosesitAint - Prayers that she would be able to sort childcare out for Sept.

CarGirl - Prayers for increased intimacy with God.

CaptainCaveman - Praise God for the "all clear" result reiceved for A & J from her church! Lots of prayers for DSis who is drinking a lot again & not doing well, prayers of protection for her DNiece.

LaurieFairyCake - Welcome! Prayers for her & her family as they struggle to make ends meet financially at this time.

NASWM - Lots of prayers for her & her family as her DH gos through gruelling treatment for liver failure. NASWM also requested prayers for her friend K who has cancer but is too ill to recieve Chemo at the present time.

CaptainDippy - Praise God that Adam is recovering so well, prayers for this to continue. Prayers for her as she struggles with tiredness and anxiety.

What a lot to thank God for this morning, Adam going home and NASWn being cared for in hospital.
How are YOU DG? What can we pray for you? And how are NASWN's dh and the boys? Could we send a card to NASWN? CAT me if you like.

Blessings for all of you in your various exploits today, specially Rosey with her interview with the SENCO.

Fabby news re Adam, and positive too that NASWM is being looked after in hospital. Praying that she gets the exact caret hat she needs. I agree DO, it would be good to send her a card from all of us on the thread.

Mary, how was the date?

Rosey - praying fo ryour appointment. Your DD is entitled to better support at school. Praying that your suggestions are given full consideration, and that a positive way forward can be found.

Praying for NASWM and that finally she can get the help and care she so desparately needs. God is carrying her right now and I pray she can feel His closeness and compassion. Thanks for updates DG.

Prayers for today Rosey, hoping all goes well, you sound well prepared.

CD - I thought the panel said they were hoping to tell people by the end of yesterday. Seems I misheard - my colleague has also applied and she thought they said the end of the week . Must wash my ears out. Still, whats done is done and whatever is Gods will I'm hoping to know by Saturday.

SOOZ _ where art thou??? CD do you have a number for Sooz from those fliers you printed?

You are a wonder CC - didn't think of the flyer - D'oh!! will check, think I still have them saved onto my pooter .....

Glad you are feeling more - I am waivering between feeling excited and feleing panic-y and anxious today - Have friend coming to stay for the week- Looking forward to seeing her, but anxious about having another person to look after, iykwim!!? Deary me .....

Thank you girls. Naswm had a bad night unfortunately. Again, I don't feel comfortable giving details though she said I could. I am much more voluble than Naswm and would probably say even more than she intended me to!

I am already intending to send flowers from me and my family. I can give anyone who wants it the hospital address. I don't have CAT facility but you can email me [email protected] This is going to sound silly, but you do suppose Naswm is allowed to receive flowers etc, do you? I feel such a twit asking this but I don't really know much about psychiatric hospitals....

I can't tell you about her dh and sons because all my information comes from Naswm herself and she is not supposed to be asking or worrying about her family as it will not help her recover. You can imagine though how hard it must be for her to supposedly shut out all thoughts of her sick husband and her very young children.

TBH, if you want to pray for me DutchOma, I could do with it. I am doing a lot of soul searching myself right now. I can tell you this as I know Naswm won't see it until she is out of hospital and hopefully much stronger, but her condition is very upsetting for me. We are very close - apart from my husband, Naswm is my closest friend - yet I can do virtually nothing to help her and it is quite distressing for me. Even if I was near I know I could do nothing, but being a long way away makes it feel harder still. My husband is abroad this week (as is usual) and that gives me so much time on my own (well, with children but ykwim) to think about Naswm.

Hi again. Sorry, just need to explain things a bit better. I have spoken again to naswm and she is really touched by your good wishes. She would love to receive a card from you and as she is going to be in hospital for the foreseeable future she could do with cheering up. However, as you may know about naswm, she is an intensely private person and does not want too many details, ie her surname and hospital, known about. So I have agreed to act as a go-between. If you want to send her anything, she would like it to be via me. You can contact me on [email protected] or Mufti has emailed me and I have already given her my details.

Sorry to be a pain about this but I hope you can all understand how vulnerable naswm feels right now.

That is a very good point about flowers & psychiatric hospitals actually - I'll give my mum a call and get back to you on that one (she's spent a lot of time in them over the years - as a patient, not a professional!!!!) Which hospital is it??

i dont think i have "spoken" to naswm but my heart goes out to her
kind of gets things into proportion hearing something like this
there are so many people hurting , i wish i could help them all

Yes CD, I don't mind ordering some flowers for you. TBH, if naswm were local, I would be doing a lot more for her, not just now she is in hospital, but day to day. She has more on her plate than anyone I have ever known. So I am happy to devote some time to her now (plus, now that I can't msn her, I seem to have time on my hands ).

I feel the same way Mufti, about all people, but especially about naswm now. My philosophy is this: there is one thing you can always do in addition to praying for these people: that is, be conscious of your blessings and be thankful for your own health/wealth/happiness/whatever, while you have it.
