A peaceful and welcoming place to pause, breathe, take stock and celebrate the small things that go well for us each day.

Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith or not. Whether you post every day or just once. Nothing matters here but that we all have something for which we are thankful.

A clear day to catch up on chores & paperwork, and a lovely start to the day by receiving an invitation to join friends for a meal next week.

Looking forward to a long weekend away visiting our DS at uni, he’s a first year but is settling in so well.

Our 31st wedding anniversary next week Grin.

I'm grateful today for:

  • My parents offering to have dc this weekend so i could take some time out
  • Having an interesting job
  • being able to call on a school mum for last minute help after breakfast club cancelled with no notice
  • My cosy house
Lessstressedhemum · 26/11/2019 08:48

Hello, Hullabaloo, it's always nice to see someone new😀

Today, I'm grateful that the hospital and medical staff continue to try to help my mum
That my sister has been able to deal with social services to get mum assessed for some house modifications and aids to help my parents deal with everything that is going on.
That I am able to help them keep on top of keeping the house clean to minimise the risk of infection and to help keep mum sane. 60 years of a spotless home and being Houseproud makes it hard to accept that you can't do it any longer.

A decision I made a couple of weeks ago being proved right after subsequent events
Long chat with my DD yesterday making plans for her visit next year
A phone call from a friend who's known me for most of my life - we don't live close but she makes the effort to call at this time of year. We have a long catch-up and it's much appreciated. (I do call her on occasion, but she's much more reliable than I!)

I am very grateful to everyone who is a Vicar/priest etc
It is such an amazing thing to do - to give up so much of your life for others, in what I am sure is an immensely challenging job.
Thanks to all religious leaders (of all flavours) especially at this time of year, which I am sure is exhausting.
