Evening, all! Just catching up here but I always light a candle first thing when I get home during the working week or when I get up at the weekend, so I hope that you felt me joining in. ❤️

YashmisCrone Scrying isn't usually my forte, but I see two hearts at least in your second picture - one outlined at the upper right, and one solid one at the lower right. To me that reads Balance, but it might be a different personal meaning for yourself.

speakout could you PM me the details of your shop please? I love your little spell bottles. We are so close in miles too. I also love that second YouTube video and have subscribed; I already love Loreena. I have found the various CDs of songs and chants by Reclaiming so useful. So many chants are so well known that I was surprised that they were written by named people and copyright rather than having ended up in the public domain by osmosis as it were.

I can't find it when I scroll back (no working computer here, so on my mobile), but was it someone on here who mentioned that Aldi had Make Your Own Baubles kits? I picked up two boxes yesterday with the intention of using them for witch and spell balls. Thank you whoever it was! ❤️

Hi Blank, yes that just about sums it up. People trampling all over my boundaries. I was sitting in my bedroom, so really I should have been left alone. It just seems to happen that when I sit down to do anything spiritual or for me, something out of the ordinary happens to mess it up. Last night I was doing a special meditation in the living room after everyone else had gone to bed, and again got interrupted, when usually that would not have happened. I have got to the point where I expect it, and almost find it funny. However I also wonder what is going - someone in spirit who doesn't like it, or enjoys just putting two fingers up to me? It's all very strange.

owlshooting · 25/11/2018 23:32

On the subject of tarot - I have set of Osho Zen cards which I use constantly. I bought some tarot cards recently but I just can't get to grips with it. There are so many different interpretations of what the cards mean that i become confused. I have been a bit spooked by the talk of needing protection when using them. I was brought up in a very fundamentalist religion which teaches that tarot is of the devil, so it has taken me a long time to overcome that conditioning.
I would like to be more proficient with tarot, but it's hard to know where to start. I have several books on it but i feel sometimes the more I read around a subject the more I am in my 'head' and it takes me away from the intuitive connection.
I am reading A Witch Alone at the moment and really enjoying it. Also the Hedgewitch book recommended on an earlier thread.

Sometimes I feel with cards it is better not to have preconceptions. Look at the card and read them intuitively. I have found when I have done this with friends for fun, they are very accurate.

Mawkish, VioletCharlotte

I truly get what you're saying about anti-depressants but please take care of your health. ❤️

I came off my ADs several times and once in particular when about to go through a very important ritual - again, in order to feel emotions. I have always ended back on them. One of my doctors asked me whether I had considered whether I was naturally low in serotonin and therefore I was just correcting an imbalance, much as insulin or thyroxine is used. I do recognise this and that my background, history (shit does happen and there are people who are naturally unkind), and various disabilities may well contribute to this.

However - a big one - it isn't just a question of feelings versus antidepressants. I used to think it was until another GP spent time on and concern in getting it right. I am now on an AD which most definitely doesn't muffle my emotions. Though as they say in the USA, YMMV - your mileage may vary.

Sending you both 😍 love and best wishes for health and hesling. 😘❤️ ❤️

MawkishTwaddle · 26/11/2018 08:17

Thank you TooManyPaws - your post echoes my approach.

I've been on the medication for four years and this is my first time trying to come off. I'm not sure if it's going to work, tbh. I guess I need to know whether my anxiety was just 'me' or situational.

It's been very tough and I've had some moments when I've remembered how awful anxiety feels when it gets bad, so the jury is still out. I see my GP next month and we'll discuss possibilities.

VioletCharlotte · 26/11/2018 08:32

Thank you two many paws your post has made me feel a whole lot better! I've always felt that I should be able to cope without the anti- depressants and taking them is a sign I'm not strong enough to face up to things. But actually, I do feel things, very deeply, so they're not masking my emotions, are they?

I remember my GP saying practically word for word what you just said about serotonin levels. I'd forgotten about it completely until you just said it.

Thank you 😊

Sokere · 26/11/2018 08:53

@"MawkishTwaddle and owlshooting Regarding Tarot.. I completely understand what you mean as I've found there are certain decks and some tarot sites with really negative almost frightening interpretations of cards. Personally, I don't see the point of that level of negativity. The message to be aware of something /someone can be given without scaring the reader half to death imho.

I've seen so many tarot readers over the years and only one I can think of scared me (she was completely wrong incidentally) but it stopped me pursuing this path for a long while.

@YashmisCrone I'm disappointed but I don't really see anything in the cups Sad but I was wondering whether the fire reading was indicating a new addition to the family? Maybe Paws seeing the two hearts was a union of some kind....?

I hope everyone has a good day, our candle magic yesterday was lovely wasn't it?

VioletCharlotte · 26/11/2018 09:09

Sokere I agree with you about some tarot sets being a bit frightening. I had the Cosmic tarot set and really couldn't get on with them. The imagery was too graphic and I was afraid of them and didn't want to use them. Since I've been using the Everyday Witch set I've felt so much more comfortable doing readings.

sockportal · 26/11/2018 09:19

I'm another one taking ADs, I tried to avoid them for as long as possible. Without them I feel unbalanced and I can't control my emotions. Since being on them, I've found a way to look at everything with more logic, it's also given me the headspace to appreciate the good things in my life instead of constantly thinking I was doing it wrong because my life wasn't like other people's. I also found deleting Facebook hugely beneficial.

YashmisCrone · 26/11/2018 10:07

Just flying by to wish everyone a good week.

I absolute loved our candle connection and hope that we can all carry some of the beautiful energy we generated here as we go about our weeks

Blessed be all

Morning everyone.
Every new witch thread I pop up and say hello and promise to take part and keep up and then I don't and I start to feel a bit out of the loop and a bit unqualified to contribute much , with that in mind hope you don't mind me asking for your thoughts on this.
I've been unwell from Saturday evening, abdominal pain, I've never felt pain like it. I woke up this morning about 3am and needed painkillers, while I waited on them taking effect i visualized a white light over us and our house keeping us safe and keeping danger out, while thinking about this i had a quick vision of three figures walking on barren ground , the central figure has a bird's head and I'm thinking Horus. A quick Google shows protection and healing being associated with the Eye of Horus.
Would any of you wise owls have thoughts on this ?
Thank you

Elphame · 26/11/2018 15:37

Afternoon everyone - well yesterday's candle burning has certainly got me fired up!

Yule cake made and cooling
Lots of sticky labels removed from glass bottles
Elderberry tincture strained and bottled
New herb cabinet installed.

All to the backdrop of anguised shouting from DP in the garden. He's trying to sweep up leaves for the compost bin but the pup thinks it's fabulous fun to run through the piles scattering them to the four winds..... He's having the time of his life. DP not so much!

VioletCharlotte · 26/11/2018 18:48

Filledsoda welcome to the thread. So sorry to hear you've not been feeling well.

Elphame goodness, you have been busy! Well done! I need some of your energy, I'm feeling totally wiped out again today.

My two teen DS have just had a massive row Sad They don't argue very often, but when they do, they really go. I can't cope with shouting, especially in my home. I might just go to bed and leave to it.

speakout · 26/11/2018 18:52

Welcome.

*Elphame" such a busy day! I always love hearing about your projects and cooking.

I hate tension in the home too, Time for some cleansing once things have settled down.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the candle connection yesterday.
I helped me a lot and the thread feels a good positive place.

Maybe do another one near the Solstice? Would be a lovely way of connecting at such a special time?

GeeIneverthoughtofthat · 26/11/2018 19:04

Evening all!

Just catching up on the thread as I was away for a few days and so I missed the recent events. I’m sorry not to have been able to join the candle connection. However I’m sure that there will be others. 😊

I’m not really a scryer (although I’m pretty sure that my grandma used to read tea leaves). However @Yashmis in the picture of the fire I saw a pair of hands. They seemed those of an older woman and a little work worn. They reminded me of a family member working to support their loved ones. I don’t know if that is of any help.

However in the tea leaves I saw a heart, two thistles and a circle of people in dark clothes dancing (!).

I’m feeling very mellow after a couple of days holiday. Have a magical evening everyone 🌟

VioletCharlotte · 26/11/2018 19:31

Thanks Speakout I'm going to have a salt bath I think, with some calming lavender!

I'd love to do another candle connection for the Solstice / great idea!

Gee you sound really chilled, hope you had a great time away.

Elphame · 26/11/2018 19:45

Currently anything but chilled here! Who knew sending money to the US could be so hard! It's for a witchcraft book I can't get via Amazon and the seller won't ship to the UK so a lovely American friend has acted as intermediary but I need to repay her.

Neither of us do Paypal. I'm about to tackle the great unknown of Transferwise..... Wish me luck!

YashmisCrone · 26/11/2018 20:13

Good evening sisters,

I didn’t want to go to work today! I felt such a lovely energy after yesterday and really wanted to stay home and continue in my clearing/ homely flow... on the plus side I’m sure my clients benefited from my uplifted, happy vibe..

Thank you all for the further scrying insights. More food for thought there- I’ll see what come to me Smile interestingly Sokere there has recently been a birth in the family- to a woman with blond hair and a fringe!

I’d definitely love to take part in another candle connection near the solstice.

Sending love to those feeling unwell or having a difficult day. I’ll re-light my candle with an intention to share the peaceful, harmonious energy we shared (and I’m still feeling) yesterday

Good luck with that Elphame!

queenrollo · 26/11/2018 20:43

I took my eldest son shopping this morning and he asked if we could go for hot chocolate and cake. We don't always get on (he's 13 and we clash) but he seemed to really want my company today and it was lovely.
On the drive home there was a bank of dark cloud ahead and he pointed out there was a rainbow. As it is flat where we live we are sometimes treated to vibrant full rainbows and this was one. He asked if I could stop driving, and as we were on a quiet country lane I did. And we just sat there watching this rainbow get more and more vivid until the sun was cut and it disappeared.
He is really not prone to that kind of sentiment or observation of nature and it felt really quite special that he wanted to stop and just watch a rainbow with me. It was almost like having my little boy back.

I have been feeling a little lost over the last year and a half as my expected path in life changed. I have been struggling to find something 'other' to shape my identity. Yesterday I stumbled across something that I feel is the thing I have been waiting for. I have seized my initial enthusiam and signed up before the doubts crept in!

Blessings to all for a relaxing evening x
