Thank you all for your contributions to my threads so far..

now, i have the chap from the spiritualist church coming over next Monday, to cleanse the house

thanks very much

yes, DH has also seen the ghost

I have a spirit guide, and i think my grandfather hangs around a bit too...but no boys i am aware of, certainly none in living memory who have died...i think this ghost is part of the house, as it were

am not scared, just ... well, basically, if it had happened to someone else, i would have been a wee bit cynical, so am finding it hard to process the information

will he go on monday, if he doesn;t want to, when the spiritualist comes over?

i couldnt say for deffo if he would go, my mum and dad tried to have a ghost moved on but it didnt work and hes still there hiding their things now lol. i bet if he does go u will miss him in a funny way though. Also spirits sometimes come back in the form of who they were when they where happiest in alot of cases that is childhood so maybe it could be a member of your family?? seems along shot, more likely just a random ghost

lulumama · 29/04/2007 15:30

maybe,

maybe we will find out more tomorrow

thanks

Spirit guides do show themselves to other people by the way.

expatinscotland · 29/04/2007 15:43

Thing is, if you're not comfortable with its being there, then yes, you've done the right thing to move it on.

Maybe part of the reason you came into that house was because it was time for the spirit to move on.

Some folks are comfortable with such a presence.

Others are not.

I don't blame you, I wouldn't be. It's your space now. If you don't want to share it with that, then by all means do as you feel it is right to do.

Because my take on child spirits is that they need to move on, there is something better waiting for them and it's often enough they need help getting there.

Keep us updated!

lulumama · 29/04/2007 17:22

thanks all, i will certainly keep you all posted

when i became aware of the boy, i was ok with it, but he is encroaching on so many areas of the house now, and getting bolder, and this is my house and my space, and i;ll decide who lives here

if he is looking for his family, or a playmate, he can find one, on the 'other side', as it were

this thread is better than anything on telly - i will wait for the next installment with bated breath - how are you feeling about it all?? will DH be with you when this is all happening tomorrow?

lulumama · 29/04/2007 19:00

yes he is ! will let you know what happens

OP posts:
fransmom · 29/04/2007 20:27

loopylou is right lulu - EVERYONE does have a spirit guide but not everyone can see them - sometimes if the person would be scared to sdee them , then they don't always show themselves directly but will often use more subtle ways to let you know they are there

loopy - my mom said that about the living too

expatinscotland · 29/04/2007 21:30

Absolutely, SG!

Got the shock of my life when I saw someone's else's guide!

Couldn't miss him, either, he was wearing clothes typical of the period in which he died.

SSShakeTheChi · 30/04/2007 09:03

How do you know that everyone has a spirit guide? Never heard of that before. Do you mean like a guardian angel or what?

Personally I wouldn't want a ghost around my dd and that would be the main reason for me wanting him out of our lifes. I have a friend who has mor than one ghost roaming about her house and garden but she takes it in her stride, even I think enjoys it. I'm not sure I would though

So today is the day, eh Lulu? Hope it goes well. Good luck with everything.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 30/04/2007 09:13

i'm so pleased to hear that other people believe in spirit guides too!
good luck today lulu!

SSShakeTheChi · 30/04/2007 09:15

what do you understand under spirit guides purple monkey? I don't what everyone means

purplemonkeydishwasher · 30/04/2007 09:54

I think of my spirit guide as kind of my guardian angel. actually i hadn't really though about it before in terms of defining it before. I'm going to half to think about it...

SaintGeorge · 30/04/2007 10:10

Well I have numerous spirit guides (that I am aware of, there may be more).

Some are relatives who have passed over. Not ones I have known personally, but ones who have decided to take on the role of 'family guardian'.

Others seem to help with different aspects of my life - an artist from Victorian era France for instance, who steps in when I am working on my art.

I also have an animal spirit guide.

expatinscotland · 30/04/2007 10:33

I have only one, my paternal grandmother.

I saw a young man's once.

We were out, on the town of all things, and we stepped out of a pub and there was a man who looked JUST LIKE this young man, only his dress was very, very out of place.

I did a double take.

And he smiled and faded in front of me.

I didn't say a DAMN THING.

About a month later, I was talking with this young man and did the classic, 'This is going to sound crazy . . . '

He said, 'Not crazy at all. Taht's my guide. I never met him in this life, but he was my great-grandmother's brother. He died in WWI.'

SaintGeorge · 30/04/2007 10:39

One that you are aware of expat

I have a feeling there is another, as I quite often get a sense of someone when I read your posts. It was particularly strong when we were in touch by email.

lulumama · 30/04/2007 10:40

very interesting !

but if this boy is my spirit guide, in another form, i don;t want him to go !!

what to do??

Hope all goes well today Lulu! I find this subject so interesting. I have loads of questions but don't want to hijack the thread, so will leave it for another day.

aDad · 30/04/2007 10:44

good luck for today lulu!

expatinscotland · 30/04/2007 10:56

Well, I wish whoever it is what come out, StG, because I could use some help.

heifer · 30/04/2007 10:56

what time is he coming round lulu?

SSShakeTheChi · 30/04/2007 11:41

ok see what you mean now with spirit guide. Don't you think Lulu that if he really is your spirit guide, somehow related to your family and watching over you all, that you would ever feel uneasy around him? Don't have any experience of it myself but think surely you would feel comforted or at least at ease in his presence.

lulumama · 30/04/2007 11:53

probably shakesss...

thanks all ! he is coming over at 2 !

OP posts:
SSShakeTheChi · 30/04/2007 12:00

ooh this is fascinating. Please get straight online when he's gone, won't you? And tell us all about it!
