Good evening everyone,

Pretendmum - welcome and glad to hear all is well for you.

NQSGU - prayers for you that you find somewhere else to hold DS1's birthday party.

DDG - sorry to hear that you husband is away and about your emetophobia. I suffer from panic attacks myself and know how much life can revolve around this kind of illness. I wil lpray for you.

CD - hope you have a lovely time in Scotland - I have been once many years ago and can still vividly remember the beautiful scenery. i will pray for a safe trip for you.

Harrisey - awful to hear your news of burglery and so glad you are all safe if a little shaken. A couple of years ago my parents were burgled (for the second time) whilst on holiday and I was called by the police as a key holder to their house. next to the TV - which has not been stolen, was a bottle of whiskey fromthe drinks cabinet. The police told me that apparently this was designed to be used as a weapon should they get disturbed. It really doesn't bear thinking about does it? I pray that you will recover quickly fromthis fright and that you replacement belongings get sorted out swiftly. By the way LOL at your DD practising her Kung Fu moves!

PandaG - so glad to hear you are driving again - well done! I feel quite jealous that you know other mumsnetters outside in the real world! Don't suppose anyone lives near Essex do they?

Church was good yesterday although I was struggling to keep my eyes open at one point - must try to get to bed earlier!

H came over again in the afternoon to look at my drains ( the Cess pit appears to be full again as the soak away isn't working properly so must get onto the landlord!) and stayed until the boys bedtime. he left immediately afterward giving me a quick peck on the cheek (He normally gives me a hug and kiss on the lips) so I guess thats his way of saying he has accepted my wish to move on from our relationship.

My best friend phoned during the evening (Sunday) to say her little boy (3) had been admitted to hospital with pnumonia (probably not spelt right!) I went to see him today after work and he is feeling much brighter but could you all please pray for him and his family as they are all understandly worried - thanks.

God bless to everyonexxx

Hia everyone! not a prayer request (for a change) its a 'thank god day' re: my 'emetophobia' The hypnosis must be working wonders because I was at work this evening when someone was sick in the pool, and I stayed in and gathered all the children to a check point, ok I didn't clear (scoop) it up but I did stay put, in a calm manner!

CD - have a fab holiday at bobsmums, sounds like its going to be fun!

Buggybrolly - prayers for your fluey virus!

CaptainDippy · 05/03/2007 23:07

Twiga · 06/03/2007 09:06

Must go and get dd dressed but remembered I needed to up-date on our God-daughter - thanks for all your prayers. She was discharged from hospital Sunday late afternoon, she'd had a good nights sleep and was much improved for some fluids. Still poorly but on the mend and just so good that she only had the one night in in the end. Both her parents were able to stay overnight with her as she was in a single room.

Twiga · 06/03/2007 09:07

Oh, and have a fab holiday CD!

harrisey · 06/03/2007 09:32

Thanks everyone. I did sleep a little better last night but I am exhausted - I cant sleep at all after about 3am, I'm just lying there listening.
Tonight is going to be hard as dh has to be away working all night. I havent yet found someone who could come and stay, but am still asking around - should be someone at colege who can do it.
No word from the police re: car or anything else. But the letting agency have agreed to replace both our external doors which are rubbish, and get proper ones.

We really appreciate your prayers. Thanks.

Notquitegrownup · 06/03/2007 10:05

Flying by!

Hi Losty - is DG Dumbledore's Girl? Definitely praying for her.

Praying that you will find someone to come and stay tonight Harrisey, and for your recovery from your awful experience.

Good news - the birthday party is relocated and back on. Thanks for your prayers.

God bless all.

CaptainDippy · 06/03/2007 10:18

Great news that your God-Daughter has been duscharged from hospital Twiga - Praying she fully recovers soon and they all have a good opportunity to catch up on sleep etc.

Good news about the B'day bash NQSGU!!

CD where are you going in Scotland? Wave as you pass Glasgow .....

Notquitegrownup · 06/03/2007 12:13

They are off to stay with Bobsmum at Loch Lomond, Harrisey

CaptainCaveman · 06/03/2007 20:05

Well Praise the Lord!! My dsis is BACK AT WORK , doing well and managing not to drink in the daytime. Yippee, thank you God and thank you mn fellowshippers for all you prayers.

Thinking and praying for you all x
Welcome also to Pretendmum, very nice to have you on board too!

My med reduction is going well but I'm getting a bit 'shouty'. I'm normally so placid and very slow to anger but I've shouted at 2 people in the past 3 days . One was at hockey (well the woman kept shouting at me so i shouted back at her), and the other was some bird at work today on reception who was just downright rude! So I told her she was downright rude . Not at all like me. In fact the last time I was like this was when I was pg!! No, I am not....

xxxxxxxx

mumtogusnalbie · 06/03/2007 20:22

CaptainCaveman - great news about your DSIS going back to work. I continue to pray for her progress. LOL at you shouting at woman at work! Anger isn't an emotion I am too familiar with either but when it happens it really happens IKWIM!! Praying for you that God gives you the strength to channel your emotions appropriately!!

Good evening everyone else BTW!

Had a bit of a nightmare this morning. I dropped the boys off with Nanny as normal at about 7.30am for her to say "I can't take Gus to school today because I have an upset tummy. It will be ok for him to stay at home for a day won't it?" Well I was livid - why didn't she phone me at home where I have several numbers of parents with kids in DS1 class that I could have called upon. Well after a very stressful 1/2 hour I managed to post a note through anothers mums door who very kindly did pick up DS1 and got him to school in plenty of time. MIL's - who'd have em eh?!!

Apart from that - another good day in our household. The boys even ate their chicken nuggets I made them - apparently they weren't as nice as McDonalds though!!!!

Good news on my friends son - he is now out of hospital and making a rather rapid recovery. Thanks for all your prayers - they have definately helped.

God Bless

xxx

roseylea · 07/03/2007 07:57

hi, just popping in to say I'm reading and praying for you all!

Thank God for your sis CCM!

Also...could you remember me in your prayers please? I've got a meeting this pm with the vicar to talk about 'vocation' (scary word!) and then tomorrow a.m. I'm seeing the Vocations Officer from the diocese. Please could you pray that through these meetings God would speak and guide me step by step. Work, and home, are also really busy atm as I'm finishing off the prep for next week's Comic Relief / Fair Trade week-long shindig!

AS I'm writing I'm listening to the worship song that says "All of my ambitions, hopes and plans, I surrender these into your hands, for it's only in your will that I am free." Amen.

bobsmum · 07/03/2007 10:27

I have a houseful of Dippies!!

All is great and kiddywinkles are gorgeous and edible ! Harrisey - we should have a GLasgow meet up if you're free? I can't remember who moreteanyone is atm - is she ghostofmumsnet? Anyway - any more Glasgow prayer threaders we should get together this week.

Cap'n Dippy leaves next Tuesday so let's get a date?

Please pray for continuing nice weather and give thanks that everyone got here safely!

Notquitegrownup · 07/03/2007 16:50

lol at houseful of Dippies! Praying that you all have a lovely week, and thanks for letting us know that they are there. (I was secretly hoping you might have 5 mins on line to keep us in touch!)

CCM - great news re. your sister. (Have you been in touch with Al anon about support for you and your mum, btw? I did a little work a long while ago with recovering alcoholics and know that it can be a very bumpy time for families.)

Great news re your friend's son MTGAA. Hurrah.

God bless all.
