Salaams/peace to all! I'm already missing our old thread, so taking the bull by the horns and opening our very own Muslim Tearoom, all welcome (non-Muslims too of course), to chat, share, ask questions etc etc. Imagine a cosy cafe with floor cushions, tea and coffee of all kinds, and lovely cakes! Eid mubarak! I baked a vanilla sponge with fresh strawberries which I am going to decorate for Eid thereby nicely merging English and Moroccan culture! Yummytummy I left your gift in the car and I don't think I managed to get last post sorry :( you should get yours on Friday.

Eid Mubarak Ehric! Your cake sounds yummy Ehric. I was going to bake a cake today but opted instead to buy a box of chocolates Grin. At my parents house we used to always have a chocolate breakfast for Eid so I decided I must continue the tradition.

By the way Eid has been officially declared to be tomorrow so Eid Mubarak everyone. Sorry Crescent, the Saudis just couldn't let it be Friday Wink.

Ummu I sent your present off today so Inshallah I'm hoping it reaches you tomorrow. Anyway I will let you all get back to preparing your last iftar of Ramadhan for this year Sad.

Right Eid gift, I got a turquoise hijab with little silver beads on the edge & turquoise bracelet & earrings, they really goes beautifully with my Eid outfit, so beautiful & thoughtful mashallah. Jazakallah khair. Smile

My sisters masjid is doing Eid tomorrow, everywhere else in her area is doing Eid tomorrow. It's cast a pall on celebrations, we've adjusted to have a smaller celebration tomorrow and a big huge one on Friday when my sister and her children make it inshallah.

Same story every eid... Will someone explain to me why we are doing eid tomorrow despite no local moon sighting (or has there been a sighting) and sone are doing it friday?

Also, why cant we have a committee like america, where they all decide to do eid together. I care more about unity than anything else tbh.

This is definitely more then £10 though. Aww I was so chuffed to get it on eid day. My husband was really jealous. He's got his eye on some of the cosmetic products. Let him see if he can try to take it off me.

Yes I agree with fuzzy dont deny me the pleasure of giving. I dont have many to give to in rl I thought that was the whole point of giving on the thread? Not v fair otherwise
