It is 5.08AM. Aillidh is with us still, with sats that have remained in the 70s for the night, even when moved, and a stable pulse, and pupils reacting normally to light stimulus.

Sorry phone seems to need everything posting twice.

psychomum5 · 06/07/2012 13:17

sats this low are not great, especially being for so long, but it is not without hope and she seems to be responding as she should (well, pupils reacting and reflexes etc from what I can garner from the updates).

she is sedated, and she is being kept painfree.

but, the updates are positive and she seems to be stable, and her sats are higher than yesterday, so we must take from that that Aillidh is fighting hard.

Thankyou Psychomum

Brings tears to me eyes. I am holding your hand expat. My ds's sats were terribly low when he was a baby and very very poorly. But he did turn a corner. He did pick up. She has so much to live for. We have to keep willing her to fight on, to listen to mummy's voice and to keep looking at the light. Thinking and praying for you all very hard still here in Devon. xx

SilveryMoon · 06/07/2012 13:22

My heart is with Aillidh, expat and their family.
Stay strong, little lady x

She is the most amazing child I have ever known about.

Lougle · 06/07/2012 13:23

70-75% sats is very low. Less than 95% is seen as non-optimal in most patients. What it actually means, well it would be foolish to speculate, except to say that it means Aillidh is very, very poorly.

If her blood pressure and cvp are good, then it isn't so much a problem getting her blood around her body, as being able to get the oxygen into her blood from her lungs, by the sounds of it.

bobkate · 06/07/2012 13:23

It's warmed my heart to read the updates - keep going Aillidh xx

tinkcantwaittomove · 06/07/2012 13:24

I am in Sicily on holiday and I've been thinking of ailidh. This afternoon we are going to visit some villages and if I can I will pop into a church and light a candle for her and say a prayer to their local saint. Expat I cannot imagine how you feel but the love of the whole world is with you. Chin up xx

ipswichwitch · 06/07/2012 13:29

keep fighting Aillidh, we're behind you all the way. you are one amazing little girl xx

Madsometimes · 06/07/2012 13:29

Please God, we need Aillidh better. We need her lungs to strengthen. We are thankful for the fight that she is putting up, but please we pray for more improvements. We pray for her sats to rise, step by step, so that she can have healing oxygen circulating around her body. We pray for her to run, jump and play.

dottyhenson · 06/07/2012 13:34

Aillidh's fighing hard so I'm going to pray hard. Miracles can happen.

perfumedlife · 06/07/2012 13:38

Drat, fighting.

HaveALittleFaith · 06/07/2012 13:40

You would aim for Sats of 95% and above in someone who is well and has no lung problems. You aim for 88-92% in someone who has breathing difficulties. The fact that she is maintaining them in the 70s is not ideal but not deteriorating is a good sign (and I think she's on slightly less oxygen than she was yesterday). It would be good to see that start to improve today though so keep praying/sending positive vibes!
