How do I tell my mum!

amummyy · 14/11/2022 23:56

So I just got a puppy but my mum hasn't said yes to it yet.

Me and the dog are currently hiding in my room. How do I tell her I got it!😭😂

I hope this is bullshit.

But if not, you’re treating a living creature as some sort of cute prop for your disorganised life. Which is both unforgivably dense and cruel.

Onceuponawhileago · 15/11/2022 00:25

People like OP are the reason we have rescues...

"I'm an adult who is very much financially stable and know how to take care of a dog"

it certainly doesn't sound like it

Okay judge Judy

shitshow is about right, because if the OP, who is a first time poster posting at around midnight, ;) is keeping it in her room the room will obviously be full of piss and dog shit by now and will stink to high heaven.

DuchessDandelion · 15/11/2022 00:28

@amummyy out of interest, what breed is it?

amummyy · 15/11/2022 00:32

People on here are hilarious, you make up your own stories and run with it.

I asked from some tips on how to tell my mum I got a dog and now there's claims I don't have a fit home and people personally attacking me by calling me names.

For the person mentioning the time I posted... you're on here aren't you 😂

She is using her training pads very well and I can't report any accidents so far... what ever else you said is just a bunch of bs

And you’re TTC?

Yawn

DuchessDandelion · 15/11/2022 00:43

I think a puppy tax might be needed tbh (picture, please).

Booklover3 · 15/11/2022 00:49

I’d just go with.

”Mum I’ve got something to show you.”

”Surprise!”

Then let the puppy charm her 😂

figital · 15/11/2022 00:50

You're not really answering any of the questions.

Can you not see how odd this sounds?

Why are you worried to tell your mum?

Pixiedust1234 · 15/11/2022 00:53

Who will be looking after the puppy when you move to your new swanky place?

Is it a Frenchie?

And?

Why are you replying to questions like a petulant 15 year old.? What do you plan on doing when your mother says you aren't allowed to keep it. Who are you expecting to look after it while you are at work. Does your non existent new flat have a garden/allow pets? Have you ever owned a dog before?

DuchessDandelion · 15/11/2022 01:01

I'd really like to know the breed...

You know is the op hiding a great dane puppy or french bulldog!

This is exactly what I'm going to do in the morning before I get my flat, thank you

I am going to pay insurance for the puppy, I think they need to start charging people to use this app.

@Dartmoorcheffy Why does that matter?

I can answer how I want since I can't get a decent response to the question from most people on here.

I asked a simple question, how about people stop making preconceptions?

OP posts:
monsteramunch · 15/11/2022 01:07

Why are you worried to tell your mum OP?

It's not snarky to ask that. It's unusual for an adult to be worried about this so people can't really advise how to tell her unless we know what your concern about doing so is.

toomuchlaundry · 15/11/2022 01:10

Have you let the puppy outside yet?

what happens if the puppy howls in the night as they are want to do after leaving their mum and litter mates

ilovesooty · 15/11/2022 01:13

Surely a reputable breeder wouldn't sell a puppy to someone living in the bedroom in her mum's house and moving into a flat?

I got it without fully confirming that I'm getting it and I live with her

Why not? But my mum can get a dog? I'm confused by this logic.

OP posts:
monsteramunch · 15/11/2022 01:16

Why did you do it when it's her home and she didn't confirm? Again, that's important information as without more context she has every right to be very annoyed so you need to start with an apology to her for doing this behind her back when if affects her home.
