Am waiting for a call back from mine

Any idea what this could be? Got her today she's 4 months have just noticed she feels quite "hard" or bloated?

Is it from food?

@pinkgin1

I'll re do her jabs etc anyway regardless what she shows me

Get her wormed and flead!
As long as she isn't pregnant!
I am starting to think she isn't but confirmation will tell me x

If she has given you vet details it would be an odd thing for her to lie about, as they would obviously just say that they haven't done jags etc.

Have you looked them up? Are they a reputable practice? It does sound odd that they can't see you at all until Monday.

I would maybe phone out of hours and ask them just to confirm what jags she's had and say you're thinking of taking her elsewhere so would like to know.

As for the microchip, I would imagine it's blank. Why would a breeder put their own details on it if the cat is going to be sold?

Although I guess for GDPR they may not tell you over the phone about the cat as you would be using the breeders name to ask about treatment. But if you had the microchip number I suspect they might.

Oh well, find out soon enough. As long as she seems ok for now XxX

No pregnancy!
It's Worms 🪱! The woman as you know said they were done 5 weeks ago, so they were a week over due! But Vet said she probably didn't even bother 🙄
No jab proof yet! So she's booked in for Friday if nothing by then!

But she's all fine apart from that! She's been wormed so those little things will be gone soon!

PHEW!! fantastic news!

youvegottenminuteslynn · 28/02/2022 13:59

So this woman is an irresponsible breeder. Especially if she didn't even do a home visit before the kitten came to you?

Are you going to report her then? Poor kitties being bred, not treated and then sold to homes she hasn't checked out.

HeadacheGrey · 28/02/2022 15:13

Yay that's great news for the little sweetheart.

pinkgin1 · 28/02/2022 15:17

@youvegottenminuteslynn

Yeah I will do now she's been checked.
And no she didn't even check my home, but I'll admit non of the others did either in the past.

She still has another three (unless sold now too) she didn't say she was a consistent breeder but her cat had caught pregnant there for ended with four kittens. She has no other advertisements. And didn't sell them for a lot of money.
She didn't sell them until they were 4 months which I must admit is better than others who do at 8 weeks.

@youvegottenminuteslynn my home is immaculate and loving for any animal, but I see your point! So I am glad I've ended up with her.

She really is absolutely gorgeous as are her toe beans and I'm really glad she's ok and in a safe, loving home.

I just think you should report it (I see you've said you will which is great) because her siblings might not have been so lucky due to the irresponsible breeder / her mums owner.

And I would discourage people from buying animals on that site especially if people don't do home visits as it shows a lack of concern on their side.

As a say I'm really pleased she's ended up in a lovely home where you've made sure she's treated asap. Does she have a name yet?

pinkgin1 · 28/02/2022 15:44

@youvegottenminuteslynn

Yeah I've not had one person ask to check my home off there.
Even professional breeders haven't asked when enquired before. Even FaceTime hasn't been asked of.
This woman definitely wasn't interested to ask

I did check shelters but I have young children and a dog and another two cats so every cat was listed as "I prefer to be the only cat" "I prefer not to be around dogs" "I can live with older children"

So I wasn't having much luck!

And we have called her Pepper 😅🤦🏻‍♀️ (my daughter did and I quite liked it!)
