Am waiting for a call back from mine

Any idea what this could be? Got her today she's 4 months have just noticed she feels quite "hard" or bloated?

Is it from food?

Is there a vet on here?

Was she this size when you picked her up?

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 20:36

Tbh I didn't notice this until I really took a look at her!
It's when I looked down over her I noticed it

Could she be older than they say she is?
It is definitely possible for her to be pregnant at 4 months old as that is when they become sexually mature.

Hopefully it's just worms... how is she in herself? Do you know the history of the mother, was she fully vaccinated etc?

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 20:47

Mother is half main coon
This one has had all her jabs etc apparently already and is microchipped
Just re read the texts and it says she is wormed but wasn't given a date as to when
I assume if it was out of line she'd of said she needs worming?
She said kitten is 100% healthy been checked by the vet ten days ago

She said to young to be pregnant she doesn't go outside
And no boys around her

But she could be lying about not being around males as her siblings could of been

I've rang back up they said there busy tonight that's all but should get a call

OP posts:
pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 20:49

@FlushTheLoo she hisses a bit as the scent of my cats is around etc

But when I tried to check underneath her she didn't like to be touched and hissed
Hisses a little bit if stroke her sides lightly but again hardly knows me and only does that it on an area my other cat has been

When on the floor etc she following me around
Crying if not In sight
Has had bowl movement all ok and weed

Has eaten and drank

Shall I make sure her bowl is constantly full?

OP posts:
FlushTheLoo · 26/02/2022 20:54

No don't over feed her as she could get sick / have diarrhoea. The hissing could mean she's in pain or it could mean she doesn't like her stomach stroked! I think if she's eating, drinking, passing normal stools then see if you can get her seen by a vet tomorrow or Monday for reassurance.

Hopefully it's just worms x

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 20:56

@FlushTheLoo yeah I thought if it was pain it'd be when I picked her up before too but she didn't.

Yes will be Monday latest! And I will update everyone! X

So sounds like you bought her off some random? They will tell you whatever you want to hear. She probably has no jabs and never seen a vet.
Regularsizedrudy · 26/02/2022 20:57

Did you see any proof of jabs or vet visit…

Did you see any paperwork to show any of this? Or is this literally only through texts?
Theunamedcat · 26/02/2022 21:02

I had a female cat who hated her stomach being touched she had been fixed but she would hiss scratch and try to bite if you touched her on her sides

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:14

Yes from pets4homes

And she dropped her down today for half the price she is and I'm sending her the rest Wednesday where she said she's then going to transfer all the vet information before I pay so I can also change the microchip address

She's gave me the name of the vets she's registered with though And that's the one I'm waiting for so I'll find out for myself I guess!

But regardless of jabs etc
Would that really make a difference as to why she's like this?

My cynical side tells me that 'Oh, she was seen by the vet ten days ago' = when he told me she was pregnant.

She does look up the duff to me - could be wrong, of course, but in any case, she needs to go to a vet very quickly.

But no, you won't hurt her by picking her up if she's pregnant. You might need to find the best space for her in case she's so far gone that she disappears over the next couple days - it's always easier for them to have a nice, safe and cosy space you can reach and know where they are than be searching under sofas, beds, backs of wardrobes and the like.

Keep fussing and talking to her. It's what she needs. Along with food, lots and lots of food.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 26/02/2022 21:17

Oh, and don't pay any more money to the seller.

After all, you don't have any of the documentation and quite possibly have a few extra mouths to feed coming up.

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:18

Owner said she was wormed and jabbed 5 week ago

OP posts:
pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:21

@NeverDropYourMooncup I worry this will be quite bad if she is

Complications etc
Inbred?? Possibly.
I had a choice out of three kittens but was drawn to her. No idea why. I'll help her anyway needs be.
But it is just a shame

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:24

I guess it is my fault for buying online but every cat I tried from shelter I didn't fit the criteria! Eg no dogs , not good with young kids, I'd prefer to live as a single cat etc

I hope I can make her happy and find out what's happening Monday latest

OP posts:
Mummapenguin20 · 26/02/2022 21:25

Bless her

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:26

@NeverDropYourMooncup she has my address, if I didn't pay her wouldn't she turn up

Luckily I'll go before Wednesday so I'll be saying if she is pregnant that it wasn't advertised as so! and she would of known ten days ago and still sold and didn't tell me

Are they still advertising on Pets4homes? I would report the advert if they are. Do other adverts come up if you Google their number?
pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:31

Only the one advert is there x

OP posts:
Theunamedcat · 26/02/2022 21:32

If you don't have the chip.in your name can you even get vet treatment?

Contact the original owner?

pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:33

@Theunamedcat she said I can change it all on Wednesday she's gonna send it all over , before I pay the rest

OP posts:
pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:34

Ahhh what a mess this is

Never had any issues before with Pets4homes kittens
It's a shame people do this (IF she is pregnant)

OP posts:
pinkgin1 · 26/02/2022 21:40

But that aside
She is happily relaxing on my bed falling asleep
