The first 10,000 signatures led to a Government response part of which in bold says this:

It is important that providers of single-sex services are clear that biological sex can be taken into consideration when providing services.

Yes it is important. So update the Equality Act itself to make clear that the word sex for the protected characteristic ‘sex ‘ is biological. If it is important why not say what it means?

Why wriggle here saying only that biological sex it is something that ‘can be
taken into consideration’ … that hardly makes it clear that biological sex is the only kind of sex there is.

The Government is committed to maintaining the safeguards that allow organisations to provide single-sex spaces. It is important that the principle of being able to operate spaces reserved for women and girls is maintained

Far from ‘being maintained’ that principle has already been broken down all over the place from women’s prisons, women’s hospital wards, disabled women’s care, girl guides, girls and ladies’ changing rooms, girls’ dormitories, women’s sports, to women’s shortlists.

^Government is committed to tackling harassment and abusive behaviours by all individuals, and ensuring single-sex spaces are safe for those using them.

Switzerland.

Self ID snuck in via the implementation of marriage equality provisions that were accepted in a national referendum.

Of course Self ID provisions were not in the text the Swiss actually voted on...

Similar to Ireland. A co-ordinated tactic.

Signed, well over 76,000. Really shocked by this story. As women we are disempowered with smoke and mirrors. So sick of this BS! We need to fight for our rights again just as the suffragettes did all those years ago!

It would be good if lots of people found time to consider this petition over the weekend and think about signing it.

We are trying to get 100,000 signatures as this will mean Parliament will
consider a debate. This is badly needed.

Following the first 10,000 signatures the overdue Government ‘Response’, which arrived a couple of days ago, is trying to say the Act is clear as it is.

This is self-evidently not true.

If it were true why would schools and public organisations and work places have taken away single sex toilets in favour of mixed sex; or even M &S of the famous bra fitting service have changed to mixed sex changing rooms; a woman been raped in hospital by a man who was ‘never there’ seeing as the police were told there were only women; rape crisis centres not offer women only counselling sessions; males who say they are women be in women’s prisons and their crimes reported as women’s; girl guides having males who say they are women as leaders and over-night mixed sex trips; …. and on it goes?

It will take a positive act on the
Government’s part to overcome the gender identity ideology that has infiltrated into policies everywhere - the idea that someone’s imaginary sex trumps the reality of their body and that this is the law.

Keir Starmer, himself a lawyer, famously said about TWAW - “it’s the law”,
meaning because of GRCs and gender reassignment - while tellingly not also adding there are permitted exceptions (a lawyer might decipher) in the explanatory notes.

Meanwhile the OED on line dictionary App has changed the meaning of sex to gender , so according to their definition homosexuality means same gender attracted, ‘getting ahead of the law’, as the Denton Report describes it.

The Equality Act needs to make absolutely
clear that the characteristic ‘sex ‘, being protected under the Act, means biological sex only, not sex as modified by a gender recognition certificate or gender reassignment.
