The Government must exercise its power under s.23 of the Gender Recognition Act to modify the operation of the Equality Act 2010 by specifying the terms sex, male, female, man & woman, in the operation of that law, mean biological sex and not "sex as modified by a Gender Recognition Certificate"^

The Equality Act 2010 covers nine separate protected characteristics, including “Sex” & “Gender Reassignment”. This protects people against sex discrimination and discrimination because a person is transgender.

There has been much confusion about how the Equality Act and GRA interact. This has caused uncertainty and conflict for women, transgender people, and service providers. The GRA includes a provision to amend other laws to make it clear whether a GRC changes the definition of sex for that law.

To sign the petition and help it move from 77, 724 signatures to at least 100,000 by 20th April so as to prompt a Parliamentary debate,

Let’s hope he means it. For biological sex to ‘matter’ in such a way that the law relating to it can actually protect women - and ordinary people and organisations can understand it - it has to be made clear that the characteristic ‘sex ‘ in the Equality Act is biological.

To sign the petition to update the Equality Act to try to get 100,000 signatures to encourage a debate on this in Parliament

My job that I started in October had a form with options similar to this 😟. They’re a charity. I cringed having to fill it in (I need the job).

Let’s hope more and more people sign too.

The spirit behind the Equality Act regarding the protection of sex based rights has not been being upheld because the meaning of the word ‘ sex ‘ has been muddied and corrupted by gender ideology and gender recognition certificates.

Scroll up to yesterday 13:43 see an example of an official registration form hopelessly confused about the word even asking if someone if their biological sex was still the same as though it is possible for it to change. Look at the OED’s on line App latest definition of homosexuality as being same sex or gender attraction. Look at a school PSHE provider No Outsiders deliberately suppressing ‘sex ‘ and replacing it with ‘gender’ on a poster reflecting the characteristics of the RS.

There has been a totalitarian style gradual infiltration of ideological language subtlety overtaking the law.

That is why the Equality Act needs to be updated to make clear the protected characteristic ‘Sex ‘ means biological sex.
