I have a few ideas for a walkng down the aisle song/piece of music but i don't want to make a twat of myself by picking something really daft! (and secretly want to steal ideas for other parts of the ceremony!!)

What did you walk down the aisle to in your non-religious wedding?

she's the one. Good old Robbie.

We had a Four weddings and a funeral medley played while guests were waiting as it was my late fil's favourite film.

walked out together to "ready to face the enemy?" Hughs line from the film, followed by Elton's Chapel of Love.

Fab day. I loved it all.

We had 'God Only Knows' by the Beach Boys, and walked back out again to 'Wouldn't it be nice' also the beach boys.
Our first dance was wonderwall by oasis.
All had their reasons and stories behind them, which I think helps make it special !
Good luck ! I loved getting married !

When I was bridesmaid in the summer, all of the bridesmaids and the bride walked down to this. It was lovely, although did make several people cry.

It had to be you, and I love you just the way you are. Corny, but both true, even after 12+ years!

arthursmum · 13/10/2008 16:51

I walked in to the theme music from the film 'The Princess Bride' as its our favourite. We had Sammy Davis Jnr and Peggy Lee's version of "You're The Top" while we signed the register and "Love is in the Air" as we walked out. All hugely meaningful to us, if noone else!

Good luck on your big day!

stretchmarkSCREAM · 14/10/2008 16:37

I am getting married in a registry office and I'm not allowed to have my own music. I HAVE to have Queen of Sheeba. So, all of you who had a registry office ceremony were allowed their own music

lou33 · 14/10/2008 22:44

i got married in a reg office and we were allowed to choose

mind you it was in 95

chocbutton · 22/10/2008 19:40

I walked in to registry office with DS (18 months) to Nat King Cole 'Let there be love', then had Ella Fitzgerald 'My baby just cares for me' whilst signing the register and then had the Beatles 'all you need is love' on the way out - was lovely!

AttillaTheHan · 22/10/2008 19:50

We had our wedding at a counrty house hotel and I walked down the aisle to 'Here, there and everywhere' by the Beatles (Revolver album). We walked out to 'For once in my life' by Stevie Wonder.
