I have a few ideas for a walkng down the aisle song/piece of music but i don't want to make a twat of myself by picking something really daft! (and secretly want to steal ideas for other parts of the ceremony!!)

What did you walk down the aisle to in your non-religious wedding?

Don't be a misery cod. I have just listened to my weddind music and feel all nostalgic and roman'ic.

PeaMcLean · 06/10/2008 17:43

What cod really means is that she chose something boring for her wedding and feels she can't show off any other way.

mummyplonk · 06/10/2008 17:44

You can pretty much have any song you like as long as not religious, they ask for the words to be sent to them in advance - found I-tunes great for variations, so chose a song you love and you will often find a slower/accapello (excuse spelling) version.

MillieMummy · 06/10/2008 17:52

I had The Verve, Unfinished Symphony !

annmar · 06/10/2008 17:54

I walked down the aisle to Air on a G string.

DH wasn't sure, kept muttering something about cigars, but I stood my ground.

We walked out to Louis Armstrong, Wonderful World.

cikecaka · 06/10/2008 18:18

Must be very boring, I walked down to the wedding march!

poshtottie · 06/10/2008 18:22

I also had Pachelbel's canon. A friend of mine had "it had to be you", from When Harry met Sally.

Chandra · 06/10/2008 18:23

JEsus Bleibet, I think...

Olihan · 06/10/2008 18:24

The wedding march from the Sound of Music.

PerkinWarbeck · 06/10/2008 18:49

I was supposed to have schubert's string quintet in C, but the register office mixed up the CDs and I ended up with a lite-classical muzak medley of Neil Diamonds greatest hits .

Let that be a lesson to all not to cut costs by having recorded music.

kerryk · 06/10/2008 18:52

olihan i always wanted to play that at my wedding but everyone else put me of it

did you have a big church wedding?

Dropdeadfred · 06/10/2008 18:56

I walked down the aisle to Chi Mai by Ennio Morricone

petitmaman · 06/10/2008 18:56

Just been to a wedding where the bride walked down the "aisle" to the music (not words, though i think that would work too) of the beatles, here comes the sun. it really was beautiful
