First ever attempt at a Shiney thread...I apologise for the swearing in title, I just coudn't help it. Point all complainers in my direction.

I have not cheated at WWF. As my fairly blemished record will attest. I can't work out how it works though- I played a word this morning with an American spelling, which was horrid and zeddy (never looks right to me), just to take advantage of a double word score, but it didn't apply it? I was most confused.

I sometimes put in words that look like words but I don't know them as words, to see if it will work. But I don't ever go and look things up, or go to lists of 2 letter words or words with q in them.

it makes it interesting when you have to think up certain types of words though, like rude or swear words norma came out with some corkers when playing rude ones with me

shiney - I used to dread DS being ill. Not so much for the illness itself as the few days of the recovery - when he would be the shittiest, meanest terror ever. He is actual a very gentle boy (though possessed with huge amounts of energy) so it was very weird.

And of course in Ted's case it's amplified because as frightening as the horrible hospital episode was for you it must have been equally terrifying for him. Plus he will have been getting a lot of attention (of course) which has now probably eased slightly. It all makes a lot of sense (though I know that doesn't help solve it).

We (in the much less dramatic situation of DS recovering from his endless ear infections) used to try and just ride it out. Not fun by any means but it does ease in a day or so. Sort of knowing it was the norm and that it got better did help!

LOL at 'I won't shop anywhere else' - you and Shiney would make a nice sort of odd couple with your supermarkets :)
