Oh yes Trills, Asthmatic kids break your heart. DD used to come gasping for breath crawling on her hands and knees until it had stabilised.
They are so remarkable brave though, she would then sing in my arms in a husky croaky voice (attacks always triggered croup).
The better you deal with it the less of a big thing it is to them though. But Shiney seems to have a fab attitude already.

Gran was chronically Asthmatic and my Grandad adored her but when she coughed her heart out with it he would joke that we should ignore her as she was only doing it for attention. He was a big softy.

Vinny gets special allowances cos she is lush and Ouch also because she has to see the Nurse.

It's just because she has now turned ten, Mitts. They now expect her to go to a teenage club, but it isn't after school, but early evening, which she can't access because she is too tired by teatime to behave at all like a human being . She is in bed by seven most nights.

The social worker is going to canvas other parents in the same boat (she can think of three off the top of her head) to see if they can out an extra club on, and look into 2 to 1 support from agency staff in the meantime to perhaps take her to a special swimming session or something similar, so she has something once a week she can actually use.

so it is not a complete stop dead. i expect that there will be others in the same position.
