That's because reading in the bath and eating nice cake is more fun than doing situps.

You could do the shred together :)

shiney - ipod just arrivedGrin Was thinking that i would still be stuck at hospital when it arrived, so am over the moon!

Am just going to scroll back through to read your instructions nowBlush

Oh, and good newsConfused Some random money has arrived in my account - my sister said she would put twenty quid in last night to make sure i could get home again today (ex wouldnt come back through) - but there is an extra two hundred inShock I thought - crikey - how far away does she think the hospital isGrin But, she only put the twenty in, so no idea where the other is from, and wont know until bank changes tonight. Not to worry - i like extra moneyGrin

oh yes vinnie - i had to pay for car parking and petrol last night for him. So, the story is.....

Mini was upstairs playing on the wii with junior. SHe decided to come downstairs while sitting on her push and ride car. Obviously thats not such a good idea, she falls straight off it and tumbles down the top half of the stairs - 7 steps.

I run up to her, and she is screaming, laying down and wouldnt get up. While i am trying to coax her into sitting up, she goes quiet. At this point, her left arm is sticking straight out behind her, and i am panicking that she has broke it or something. I realise that she is staying too quiet, so manage to lift her head enough to see that she is uncouncious - eyes closed, head all floppy and a mouth full of sick. I then start to really panic, lift her onto her side into recovery position, while still mindful of her arm. After about a minute (which felt like a lifetime), she came round again and started whimpering. She was so pale it was scary. I brought her down onto the couch on juniors knee, and rang for an ambulance, as she still wasnt responsive.

Paramadics and fast repsonse unit came, sped her straight off on the 20 min ride to hospital. I rang ex to say could he meet us at the hospital, for some moral support (i knew i should have known better, but i was panicking).

We get to hospital, peads a and e where she i seen and assessed. By now she seemed to be picking up again, and was playing quite happily with the toys. So ex was thinking, all is well - he can drive us home and all sorted. (this is after i agreed to give him petrol money for coming down). But, just while we were waiting for the second doc, she was sick again, so nurse RAN to get doc, who then said she had to be kept in. Ex kicked off at this point, as he realised i would have to stay in with her, which meant he would have to have junior and therefore miss his pub night. He would also have to take junior back to our house to pick up breathing machine and spare clothes. I had to pay extra petrol for this, leaving me with about £6 - and no money in bank till saturday.

{god this is long, sorry]

He goes off in a right strop, while mini is took round to ward. She has perked up again, but is still dipping quite badly and quickly at times, so they want to keep an eye on her. She was sick for the last time at 2.30 am, and from about 3 a m she perked right up, and seems right as rain now - other than really tired, which is probably as the result of a late night.

I then ring ex to say we are coming home, he says he has already dropped junior off at home an hour ago (on her own) and is now at workShock So, sister rings to see how mini is, and to inform me she has put money in my account as she know the stunts ex would be pulling.

So, we are back home, knackered but otherwise ok - apart from glue ear which doc diagnosed while doing full check up. Guess that means grommets - but only in one ear.

I really mean it, thanks so much for keeping me busy with texts last night - it really stopped me from going into full panic mode, and meant i could actually listen to what the docs were sayingWink

Am now going to play on ipod to try and get some sleep, so will see you all latetSmile

NormaSknockers · 24/09/2010 13:04

Afternoon all,

Jet so pleased Mini is ok, that must have been so awful for you :( Pleased you're both hom & ok (apart from being tired!) Grin I acho Shiney, keep schtum about the money Grin

OuchPassVodka · 24/09/2010 13:06

Glad mini is better today. How are you feeling?

Today has started better then yesterday did. Although have now got my number plate reattached and just waiting for sis to return home so i can grill ask her where she found it. Mechanic says there is no way that is would have fallen off so will have to report it to the police later

Been to a fabric shop and now solved the problem of the grans who need nothing, want nothing and have no space for anything but love it if you give them something. Going to try to run up the toppers later. Got pattern cut out. so iron and sewing machine for me this afternoon.

Mittz - you busy next week? Must be on time though as backup is going away on hol.

friday all day today and i feel knackered. ds slept in my bed but selpt over the bottom third of it. He really is in a weird mood. he asked me why I took him away from his dad this morning. Hmm This followed a conversation about warm and cold bloody animals. i suspect the ex has been saying stuff again fucking manipulative bastard. Angry not that i would ever say that to the kid.

NormaSknockers · 24/09/2010 13:06

Oh Jetm you ex is absolute wanker. I'm sorry but he is. I'm so Angry & :( for you all.

oh Jet - so sorry I missed all you went through. That sounds an absolute nightmare...but you dealt with it amazingly. I"m so relieved to hear she is on the mend.

I'm too hungover to catch up. My hangovers now last all day. 3 glasses of wine and I'm done in. That is totally useless and lightweight isn't it?

And the stupid british gas man hasn't turned up - I waited in from 9-1 (with stir crazy DD who's favourite thing at the moment is walking the streets of north london - smelling flowers and (often) stepping in mud and poo. So she was in a grump at being deprived of her favourite activity and I was pissed off too. They really are shite.

I'm boring myself now. See you all later.

OuchPassVodka · 24/09/2010 13:42

sorry jet ex posted with. hope you have a peacefull weekend.

bellavita · 24/09/2010 14:08

Hello Smile

Jet, glad you are home. You have coped far better than I would in that situ, I would have run out into the street crying like a banshee asking for help.

I remember about 4 years ago, the grandma was looking after the children that live next door and one of them swallowed a 10p piece. He couldn't breathe as it had got stuck and she picked him up and brought him round to my front door to see if I could help Shock. Luckily we managed to get it out of him - but was sick with it right outside my front door >. I am never good in these instances.

Are you liking your new i-pod?

DH is away in Nottingham overnight, he has gone to do his speed awareness course and then is out for a night on the tiles. He is coming home via Birmingham tomorrow as he wants to look at a venue for some charity thing, so I have the boys by myself until tomorrow afternoon. I have 3 extra boys in my care tonight too as DS1 is having a sleep over (wish me luck).

I have given in today and worn knee length boots to work, it was bloody freezing this morning and the rain was dreadful.
