Vinny, every time MrB cashes in some shares (this time we are paying a chunk off the mortgage), DH gives me an amount to spend on myself. Last time when he got his new car, I got my diamond earings. This time, I am trading in my engagement ring and getting something bigger. Have been to the shop and seen a couple of nice ones and the man has told me how much I need to put to alongside my old ring (unfortunately I always see something out of my price range) so have squeezed a bit more out of DH. Hiis pressie to him is the Macbook Pro and we are also going to buy a new bed on Sunday.

Oh an he is taking me to London to a Michelin star restaurant he wants to go to too.

We have had two beds in our 23 years of marriage - divans (my mother picked and ordered both...) now we are going to have a different kind of bed and going for a leather one.

He wasn't so happy with me the other day though. I txted him to say I thought he was cross with me over something and that I also whined and whinged I needed more money for my present > and his bloody work colleagues were stood at his desk when my txt came through and they saw it.

Iggi they say you are supposed to change your bed every 10 years if that helps... did you see my post last night about train tickets? Using East Coast, you could go to London 1st class for £99 return using two singles.

Have only had it (bed) 4 years unfortunately! Maybe I should just change to a DH with less smelly feet Obviously it is not my fragrant toes causing the trouble!
Oh, have booked the tickets, not first class but only £63. The journey is a bit over 5 hours, with no changes - a lot easier than getting to Manchester was actually!
