am with trills shiney - just be honest with the doc. And myabe lie exaggerate a little re the backGrin

Mini loves her glasses bella, always has done. She has gone through about 6 pairs so far - only 2 of which were broke beyond repair. She also loves going to the opticians, as the glasses lady there absolutely loves her, and she gets spoilt something rottenGrin I think it probably helps that junior and i both wear them as well.

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 09:28

meant to say: nightmare was not good shiney. hope you get good night's sleep tonight.

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 09:54

Shiney I am Envy of your iPad but mainly because I didn't know it had a Kindle app & I want a Kindle! Hope it goes well at the doctors, don't wear any make-up though!!

Oh bother Bella I'm absolutely stumped about which one to get, maybe the 6.5 litre will be too big then seeings as yours is ok & you have 2 strapping young lads to feed as well as you & MrB...hhhhmmmmm

Jet hope Mini likes her new glasses :)

bellavita · 14/09/2010 10:34

Are there any reviews on both sizes Norma?

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 10:38

Well the mechanic uttered those words that everyone dreads. Electrical fault :( which is always going to be very expensive. He is going to look at it today though. so will have to see.

Right i have had enough of today already. goodnight.

bellavita · 14/09/2010 10:42

Ouch - is this a newish reg we are talking about?

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 10:48

2007 so not too old. it has been a nightmare car tbh. a real friday afternoon car. i reckon the mechanic probably has my contact no on speed dial he has seen it that much. he knows the reg off by heart.

Poewr steering controled by an electrical unit in the corsa and not hydrolic fluid. guess what he thinks is bust. Its not even done 70,000 miles yet.

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/09/2010 11:14

Morning Smile

My parents have just left and i am contemplating a shred. Despite loads of exercise and healthy eating last week, i have put on 2lbs. Arse. Pretty demotivated now tbh Sad

Mittz - i would put you down as a fabulous assembler of flat packs. Not sure why ConfusedGrin

Ouch, hope the car is not too expensive - just out of 3 yr warranty too i guess? Worth asking as my VW had loads of electrical problems and they ended up only charging me 50% on one problem as the warranty had only just expired

Lizzy - glad DS had a good day and so cute them discussing their days

Hope docs goes ok Shiney and Bella that your nightmare colleague gets back in time

Norma - what was in the pasties? Were they easy to make as i am always looking for things for DD's lunchbox as shs is not a huge sandwich eater?

Welcome back GiGi, glad the holidays were enjoyable, if damp

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 11:18

didnt buy new and warantly was not transferrable :( mechanic is very good though. i trust his judgement and his workman ship is high quality. just as well really. Hmm

Where are you in your cycle crispy, could the weight gain be related to that?

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/09/2010 11:27

I guess around Day 14, although not too good on remembering/recording such things Hmm. I think i was pretty crap wrt exercise over the summer and now i am back into it, i am converting fat to mucsle. I feel pretty good, just not showing on the scales. Tis crap, but i have to really work hard at maintaining at this weight

Vinny, re the Lord, i would say 1100 is too low. I would never go below 1200 as i don't want to fuck up my metabloism any more than it is. Have you put your lifestyle as sedentary or lightly active? Definitely the latter if you have a toddler IMO. Or check your height is correct. The Lord is not kind to petite people

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 11:41

fat weighs less then muscle!!! dont forget that!

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/09/2010 12:17

Yes, thanks ouch

Have just shredded and will have walked 5 miles today. After 50 lengths and pilates yesterday, you would think there would be some reward Hmm

VinegarTits · 14/09/2010 12:31

Afternoon

Crispy i put lightly active in to lord ford, and my height is correct (unless ive grown recently) andyway i didnt stick to it yesterday, cant get my head around healthy eating atm

i couldnt sleep last night either, loads of stuff on my mind, then ds2 woke at 6am just as i was dropping off

DreamsInBinary · 14/09/2010 12:38

DreamsInBinary · 14/09/2010 12:39

I am aching a lot today, so no gym tonight and an evening of housework wine and books to look forward to Smile

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 12:42

u ok vinny.

DIB that sounds like a plan.

I havent been to sleep and still cant sleep. I am going to have to find the strong stuff later. Hmm

My brain is too busy. Blush

VinegarTits · 14/09/2010 12:46

Its my Nan, she is in a terrible state, her skin is so paper thin that she bleeds if you rub it, and her mouth is cut and bleeding, shes struggling to eat anything (the one enjoyment she had was her food) and is barely compos mentis, i know its awful but really hope she goes in her sleep soon, i cant bear to see her suffer, i cant sleep thinking about her

CrispyTheCrisp · 14/09/2010 12:54

Oh Vinny. Your poor nan, and you having to watch her suffer so Sad. {{{{hugs}}}

Foodwise, could you get her some covent garden soups and innocent smoothies and the like? Packed with flavour and vitamins. Sorry. All sounds so trite Sad

DiB, congrats on your continued losses and fitness improvements. You have worked really hard for it. Enjoy the wine Smile

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 12:55

I think the one thing that my amazing aunt has done wrt my nan is ban grandchildren and greatgran children from visiting. Tbh nan cant handle visits and it makes her upset, but i am grateful i can remember her ok. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this vinny. it must be horrible having to watch her suffer like this, especially know that you cant really do anything to help. I think your wish of a soon gentle death is not an awful thought, but the ultimate sign of caring. You want her to find relief from the suffering. That is all you are wishing for. You are an amazing woman for dealing with this. I have a lot of respect for you for doing this. I know i couldnt. I couldnt even visit my nan when i had the chance. If you are worry about her can you make a memory book of the good things about her/ you have experienced with her instead of lying awake and worrying. would it help to focus on the good or would that be more painful?

BitOfFun · 14/09/2010 12:56

Oh Vinny Sad

BelfastBloke · 14/09/2010 12:57

So sorry Vinegar. I know that thought well and it is a grim one to have. But as Ouch says, it's not awful, but caring.

DreamsInBinary · 14/09/2010 13:00

So sorry VT, it must be awful to see her that way.

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 13:28

Car is fixed and it wasnt electrical. it was simple. am happier. still tired but going to pick up my car. i have freedom back

VinegarTits · 14/09/2010 13:29

my mum has been picking ds2 up from school and giving him his tea, and yesterday he innocently said to my dad 'have you been hitting nanny?' bless him

my poor dad Sad

VinegarTits · 14/09/2010 13:31
