Bella not that I could find just that the 6.5 was very big so opted for this one in the end

Crispy they were really easy, I just put potato (mashed), carrots (chopped), peas & grated cheese but you could pretty much put anything in then them! I cheated & used Just-Roll ready made puff pastry too Wink

Ouch what a bloody PITA about the car

Oh Vinny I'm so sorry, you poor thing :( As Ouch said it's not awful of you to think that, it's caring & not wanting your nan to hurt anymore. I'm so sorry.

VinegarTits · 14/09/2010 14:59

they gave her steriods and she perked up for a day then went back downhill, and they were making her restless so she was awake through the night (mum and dad have a baby alarm in their room so they can hear her) so they have stopped the steriods, she just has no quality of life anymore, her 2 favorites things (food and TV) she cant enjoy (she now has cataracs so cant see TV anymore) its just so bloody horrible for her

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 15:01

That is so sad Vinny, your poor Nan & you poor you/mum/dad for having to see her like this :(

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 15:09

norma car is fine hunny, the mechanic is amazing. would highly recommend him. i am struggling today big style. I am going to take the chemical induce route for sleep tonight. prescribed of course.

VinegarTits · 14/09/2010 15:14

Hello Shiney.

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 18:38

how did the doc trip go shiney?

jetcat · 14/09/2010 18:44

vinny, so very sorry to hear about your nan. It's just awful watching loved ones go through thisSad Take care of yourself

Ouch - glad car is fixedSmile

Norma/Bella - can you recommend an easy recipe for me in a slow cooker. I have some chicken thighs defrosting, and quite fancy doing something different. I dont have much in the way of store cupboard items (using up what i have got before next shop) so the simpler the betterGrin

bellavita · 14/09/2010 18:56

how about this jet?

If you don't have tarragon you could easily substitute it for another herb. Use normal onions instead of shallots.

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 19:07

Evening all,

I love baking/cooking, always have done. My Nana taught me from a very tiny age everything that I know, I've always used it as my de-stressing tactic so when you see photos of baking you know I'm stressed Grin

Shiney, I'm ashamed to say I'm currenly taking the ostritch approach so am just slapping on a smile & powering through!

Glad you've got a mechanic Ouch, that's always a plus :)

That looks a good recipe Bella, yum, yum! The SC is all set up, good size too, going to make a spag bol in it on Friday!

Jet I'm not so good on DC recipes just yet but this book is supposed to be very good Grin

jetcat · 14/09/2010 19:10

ooh that looks good bella, thanksSmile I am guessing that to do it in the slow cooker i just chuck everything in? My kind of cookingGrin No tarragon, but i have orregano and thyme ( i am slowly building up on spices).

I do have some lentils and a tin of chick peas. Would they go in do you think? They have been in the cupboard for ages, and i cant think what to do with them!

Did your colleague turn up on time?

jetcat · 14/09/2010 19:12

DC recipes Norma?Confused

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 19:14

oh fucking hell, why do i get caught up in all the issues. Am i just listener or something Hmm I have ishoos. fuck that i am a big ishoo. my poor brain. and i sent a text to the accidental date guy. he wasnt supposed to get it. so now i guess i have another accidental date thing to sort out. fuck.

Oh and i have just realised i swear a lot when i am tiredBlush

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 19:16

LOL sorry I meant SC not DC, as in Slow Cooker Grin

Oh bugger Ouch, cann you fake your own death to get ut of it or is that going to far?

jetcat · 14/09/2010 19:21
