Shiney.. genuine question with a touch of Hmm..A MacBook, a Touch and an IPad....ermmm do they all do something different or just variations on a theme? I'm not a gadget type person so am Confused.

I can happily have 5 black cardi's that are all ever so slightly different, so no judgey pants just curious... Grin

bellavita · 13/09/2010 21:04

All you need now is the I-Phone 4 and you have a complete set Shiney!!

Gigantaur · 13/09/2010 21:04

shiney you lucky lucky mare.
it's my birthday in a week, doubt my mum will be so generous.

ouch - DD has just moved into yr1. she is a bit dim though. i love her more than air i really do but she is far from the sharpest pencil in the box. i really struggle to get her to concentrate on a ORT book.
We read our own books and i make her read words from them instead. As long as he is reading and his ability is improving i can't see what they would have to complain about.

DreamsInBinary · 14/09/2010 00:12

Evening

Sorry to miss you all Smile

I am aching like a hell! Yoga must be harder work than it feels at the time. I have been to work, then WW, then the gym and have just finished the ironing. Ugh.

Thanks for asking, Bella! As it happens, I have lost another 1.5lb so am delighted. Ideally, I'd lose maybe 6lb more, but would be happy enough staying at this weight.

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 00:15

I'm still up.
I too have been doing the ironing.
hope you get to rest well.

I am whelding a rotary cutter atm and waiting for the last of the ironing to finish tumbling.

DreamsInBinary · 14/09/2010 00:15

Whats your good news, Ouch?

I'm off to bed, but look forward to finding out tomorrow Smile

LL - glad it all went ok

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 00:22

Its two fold. accidental date has disappeared of own accord so longer an issue
Erm, i might be going into business after all. bit more research is needed but still. beginning to think it is more scarey then good though

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 07:08

Morning all,

Ouch that sounds interesting, what more scary then good though?

mittz · 14/09/2010 07:27

Heyy...Smile xx

Does anyone wanna rub my bum for me? I have sciatica ouchy!

Shiney Grin enjoy!

Fab on car Jet....

Good going DiB..

Hey Norma..your baking makes me drool.. I loved the mini pasties

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 07:44

Ah go on then Mittz I'll rub it for you!

I was really pleased with how the pasties came out Mittz, I made them for DDs lunbox & froze them so that I can just get them out as & when....though by the time they were cool enough to freeze 2 of them had mysteriously disappeared Shock

bellavita · 14/09/2010 07:45

Morning Smile

Wow another 1.5lbs Shock > - Well done!

Norma, what did you buy yesterday?

Aww Mittz - could you get DD to do a little massage for you? DS2 is fabulous at doing stuff like that.

Ouch, will look forward to hearing more about your new plans.

Better start to the day today. Yesterday when I got up at 7.00am we had a powercut, couldn't even have a coffee. Looked in the cupboard for the matches to light the gas on the hob to boil some water and make breakfast to find that DS2 had used them all and put them back in the box - he is the master candle lighter, so a full box of spent matches.. DH went to the village shop but they were closed because of the powercut. It finally came on at 9.00am. The boys were oing to have bacon butties yesterday but have them this morning instead. I am having porridge.

Am kinda not looking forward to work today (work yes, but not my colleague). Went in yesterday and the desk was such a mess and she said she had been really busy and hadn't had time to do everything, but instead of dealing with the emails and stuff first, she decided that guillotining pieces of card (which is the runner's job in between errands) would be far more relaxing - she said she enjoyed doing stuff like that. I was not best pleased. Also, we loaded money onto the franking machine, it finished and the cord needed putting away - which she was doing stood behind me - winding it around her arm to put in the cupboard, but I was on the phone and a parent came in and was stood at the desk, I couldn't see to him and she just stood there sorting the cord out, so he had to wait for me >

She also said yesterday that tomorrow she has to go to a funeral (her DH's mums companion) as her DH is away, which is fair enough, but she said it was at 12.30 and she starts work at 1.00pm, I leave at 1.15 and I am actually going to see my old colleague. She said she would do her very best to get to work for 1.00pm - I just made it very clear to her that I needed to leave on time.

NormaSknockers · 14/09/2010 07:53

Morning Bella,

Aside from a Pizza Hut nothing Blush I ended up having a busy day so just didn't get around to shopping! Still undecided which SC to get too, did you say you had a 3.5 one?

She sounds like a choice work colleague Bella, I would have tripped her with the flaming cord if tha had been me!

mittz · 14/09/2010 08:02

That is frustrating Bella.. I am not sure I could easily work with someone like that, especially after having been my own boss for 14 yrs.

I have had Granola and Banana/mixed Berries, which is a yummy start to the day. DS is vile in the mornings.. he has gone in early and I was glad BlushSad.

I am out at work this morning.

jetcat · 14/09/2010 08:09

morning allSmile

Bella, sorry but Grin at DS2 putting the spent matches back in the box, that is something junior would do! And grrr at your work colleague - fingers crossed you get away on time today.

Well done on the loss Dib - i will ignore the fact you ignored my suggestion of coming up here to flat pack heavenGrin

Ouch - i am intriguedSmile

Mittz - hope your sciatica is not too bad. I have experienced a little of that, and its not goodSad

Got to go and pick mini's new glasses up today - she is changing prescription every 6 month now, and has actually surpassed junior in strength of lens. But, at least her eyes work togetherGrin

You don't need to do a performance Shiney - remember June/July - work stress etc was actually making you ill.

Or is it the back now as well?

Well done on waking yourself up from the nightmare :)

bellavita · 14/09/2010 08:38

Norma, yes I have the 3.5 litre one. Funnily enough, my brother had the larger sc and since he moved into a smaller house with a smaller kitchen, didn't have anywhere to put it. So he gave it to my mum. My mum then thought it would be an idea to swap it with mine since there are 4 of us and only 2 of them, but I stuck to my guns and said no. Mine is the perfect size.

Good luck Shiney, am sure you won't need it.

Mittz, breakfast sounds lovely.

Jet, does mini bother about wearing glasses?

Hello Trills.

OuchPassVodka · 14/09/2010 09:19

morning. I am shattered. couldnt sleep last night, so gave up at 4am and had a shower. Ds decided it would be a good idea to get up at 4:30am. It is a nightmare. But he did do his reading. managed to convince him he needed to go back to sleep at 6am, it took him til 6:30 the alarm went off at 7:30, i reset it to 8am. Really did not want to get up this morning.

PLus i now have to get my steering dodgey car to the garage. its due down for 9:30 so will leave it another few minutes to allow the rush to progress through a bit more before leaving.

So today: housework or sleep... no contest really. least i did the ironing last night.

Morning all. Bella she sounds like a nightmare, shiney good luck, norma they must taste nice to have disappeared, Jet do you have the bent glasses problem? ds is a night mare for it. Morning mittz, hope the back settles soon.
