mittz · 13/09/2010 13:40

Awww Lizzy.. how are you feeling now?

Lizzylou · 13/09/2010 14:21

Welcome back Gigi, did you have a good time?

Iggi, we need to kick each other's bums to get remotivated Smile

Mittz, am fine thankyou, though haven't done much work today, everyone and anyone has been phoning to ask how DS2 got on. Not long til pick up now!

Gym tonight and I will not be phoning it in, oh no.

OuchPassVodka · 13/09/2010 14:26

Afternoon
right summary as much as my brain will allow:

SHiney - new mac book that she is still licking but is confusing her
Bella - got a new bed and jewelry (sp)
Trills - wants purple shoes and is moving into a house
Jaq - is back and tc has been sorted
Jet - has bought a car
Mittz' house is the local kid refuge
Lizzy - has been to brother's wedding and is a godmother
Hells seems to be awol
Wasting is about and had child and dh free time this weekend
Norma's DH has been a prat but she is being strong and stomping her foot. hopefully he is now being put in his place. She has mil backup
DIB - is our resident gym bunny having almost usurped cripsy and lizzy in this role
Crispy has been make jam
Yank's wrists are recoverying and she is training for her new job
Five has been swimming in her pool
Vinny's thyroid has settled done and she has been feeling a bit better then she was
I am a namechanger, not breaking trills first rule Wink do not want to be outed as name change was essential rather then chosen

Lots of DC have started school: DIB's ds, five's dd, lizzy's ds2, Vinny's ds2....

Does that help?

OuchPassVodka · 13/09/2010 14:27

Oh and Bella's ds had a few troubles with school but she kicked butt.

jetcat · 13/09/2010 14:36

welcome back gigi, so glad you are feeling a little betterSmile

Lizzy - not long to go now, i bet he is having a whale of a timeSmile

Very Envy of all the shoe talk - one day i may actually fit into some of themGrin

I have just, with mini's help (and she was actually was helpingShock) assembled my new bed, which has been sitting at the bottom of the stairs for two weeksBlush I think i was waiting for the flat-pack fairy to assemble itGrin It looks lovely, just need some nice new bedding for it - as bed is pewter, i am sticking with lovely white cotton bedding. Will have to wait till after the car is paid for though - i know my prioritiesGrin

BitOfFun · 13/09/2010 14:39

Hello all- and welcome back Gigi Smile

I have spent the last two days having a double-ender - not the good kind. The sitting-on-the-toilet-throwing-up-into-the-bath kind.

Am still in bed now, totally washed out. Starting to get hungry now though- haven't eaten anything since Saturday afternoon.

OuchPassVodka · 13/09/2010 14:42

are u feeling a bit better now or do we need to send some nice hunk round to nurse you better?

DreamsInBinary · 13/09/2010 14:43

I am in awe of Ouch's round-up.

Hahahaha at "not the good kind" Grin but sorry you are illing.

Jet - I wish I lived closer, I adore flatpack.

LL - what time is he home? How is he? How are YOU?!??

BitOfFun · 13/09/2010 14:52

I am being well-looked after, thanks WinkGrin

Gigantaur · 13/09/2010 14:56

I think i know who you are Ouch. Confused

excellent round up, thanks.

I am feeling much much better thanks. Holiday was as good as a caravan in torquay gets Grin it wasn't great weather but we still went to the beach a couple fo times and the kids went in the sea.
they loved it and i loved reminiscing over the summers i spent there as a kid.
Dp could not understand my enthusiasm. Grin

BoF - sorry your illing. Dp had a similar problem the other day. thanfully it seemed to clear up reasonably quickly so think it was something he ate. once he had expelled it from his body he seemed ok again.
hope your back and healthy again.

woohoo for all other good news including beds and houses and cars.

boo for bad news like illing and first day trauma.

OuchPassVodka · 13/09/2010 15:01

Its nice to know my memory works sometimes Grin

In house is always better imo Grin

Lizzylou · 13/09/2010 16:08

Excellent round up, Ouchy.

Hope you feel better soon BOF, I could do with a stomach bug to speed up weight loss tbh. Sorry it wasn't a spit roast you were talking about.

Sounds fab, Gigi, best thing about having kids is reliving your own childhood.

DIB, am fine, just felt wierd, no more babies! Though was v cute the boys chatting about their days in the car on way home. At least I will find out more about what goes on as DS1 turns mute usually when I ask.

Jet, clever you and clever Mini!

mittz · 13/09/2010 16:54

Oh dear BoF.... Sounds grim x

Well done Jet. I detest flat pack. it was one of DC'd Dad's strong points. I'd rather sit on boxes than sort flat pack out.

You can send me a nice hunk to rub my poorly bum if you like Ouch!

bellavita · 13/09/2010 17:12

Hello Smile

Gigi, glad you had a nice holiday.

Sorry you are illing BoF Sad

Norma, did you spend a decent amount of money today?

Hey Mittz Smile

Vinny, is the Finnster still liking school?

Lizzy, are you feeling better this evening? See, I really must have a hard heart because I jumped for joy when both of mine went to school..... >

DIB - how is the maintaining going?

Shiney, it really is lovely of you to ring me in the afternoon - but some of us umm do have to go to work you know... it isn't all gym and Apple products in this house!! Grin

Helloooooooooooooo everyone else.

mittz · 13/09/2010 17:30

Grin at Shiney ringing Bella lol!

How are you Bella.. when do you get your Bed?

I have a pile of paper work to do. I HATE it.

bellavita · 13/09/2010 18:13

I am good thanks Mittz, bed arrives Friday and we will move the old bed into the garage on Thursday night so that I can hoover bedroom etc (always pull bed out anyway when I clean) and we will sleep in the spare room

Have had chicken pepperonata with couscous, green beans and olive bread. Yum!

DS1 has told us he is now the top set for music and they will get to go on special trips with the Yr10 and Yr11 pupils to the Royal Albert Hall and to see a musical in London. He has also said that they will be going to Belgium and France next year to see the Battlefields - joy of joys, how much is that going to cost... Confused

Shiney, I did try and ring you back but you were obviously otherwise engaged with your new gadgets >

Evening shiney!
you making up for not posting in ages with mass posting?

I am carless it is a training night :( very :(
Just had ds in tears about his reading homework. bless him. Wont do it. At all. under any point. Will have to speak to his teacher about it. he is reading everynight in bed, just refuses to do the school books that he is expected to read

Must go drug him: sleep meds, vics, honey milk and get him sorted ready for bed. I am tired Hmm

bellavita · 13/09/2010 19:30

Sorry you are not able to train Ouch Sad. Do you think it really matters if he doesn't read the school books? He is still reading after all.... One of the boys in DS2's class has never ever read the school books because he wanted to read his own.

Am making biscuits.

OuchPassVodka · 13/09/2010 19:50

School are very very keen that the read the school books. i dont think it will be too much of a problem. it wasnt last year. its more the refusing to read aloud bit that i worry about because i have no idea where he is reading and if he is doing it right. Not worrying too much because i know he can read really tricky things by the things he is quoting out of information books. Its more a case of making sure that the teacher knows what is going on iyswim just to stop him getting into trouble at school for not reading.

Tbh i think he is finding it had being in a class of mostly yr2 when he is in yr1. the demands on him are more then they would be if he were with more of his yr1 peers. Teachers and head are impressed with how well he has settled down though so that is something.

He is fast asleep already Shock he must be shattered bless him. right i have stuff to do... will be back when i am bored of ironing :(

OuchPassVodka · 13/09/2010 19:51

finding it *hard
