DP likes things too - just not many of them, ad they have to be carefully placed! He is 29 so definitely time for a real house.

Is it things that grow, or children Alice? The house is definitely big enough for the two of us and I have no plans to have any other people living there! Grin

Yank, yes - i am supposed to go into hospital for an overnight sleep study each year, but they let me do it at home, as there is no one to watch the girls. Tis great funHmm At least i dont have to go out wearing itShock And i agree with wasting, it really does make such a huge difference using the CPAP. When i have a cold/blocked nose, i get really tired, as i cant use the machine with a stuffy nose. If DH does end up with a CPAP, try to get a more modern one with a humidifier, it stops you getting a sore throatSmile

Bella, i would follow Mittz' advice - so what if it happened out of school - he still has to be around this boy all day at school. What guarantees can they put in place nothing will happen in school?

Trills - hope the packing goes smoothlySmile

Well, i decided against the Ka in the end, and seem to have put a deposit down on an escort estate - one extreme to the otherGrin I am going on Saturday for a test drive, and if i want it, they are letting me pay for it over the next 5 weeksSmile If not, i can get my deposit down. Am so excitedGrin

CrispyTheCrisp · 09/09/2010 14:16

Helllllloooooooooo Grin

I have had a lovely morning shopping at the Debenhams Discount event (lovely set of Circulon pans reduced from £200 to £90) and the 30% GAP event (girls Xmas PJ's)

Managed to obtain a new handbag and fab knee high boots at the same time. Not sure how they got into the basket BlushGrin

How grown up Trills, a whole big house, but def agree on the expand to fit. LOL @ Mittz wanting to move back to a bungalow though Grin. I loved my aunt & uncles's bungalow as you seemed to be able to run forever down the corridor

Bella, hope today went ok with DS's school

Jet - hope the car is ok. You could get an AA check done on it. i know they are quite expensive but worth every penny IMO

Where is the SHiney one?

Hello Smile

Fab news on the car jet!

I have booked my train tickets for November!! (or rather MrBella has for me as I wasn't able to do it at work). I got an alert on my email to say they had released advanced cheap tickets for London for the 27th Nov. I am going first class each way with seats booked for £77 return!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Grin

I assumed that the school would ring me on my mobile like they did when Jack had his accident. But no phonecall. So before leaving work, I rang them and they said the Head of Year was on duty. I said I would be home at 2.00pm. When I got home, she had tried to ring me this morning at 9.45 Blush.

I have now spoken to her and she was lovely and very apologetic about DS1, she said she knows how reticent he is about saying if something is bothering him. Apparently 3 boys were involved and 2 of them actually went to her before she got to them and said what they had done. She had to go and pull the boy who I saw last night out of his class. I told her this is not the first time this boy had picked on DS1 and she basically said to me that it has happened to others as well. The boys have apologised to DS1 and lost lunchtimes. I think for the 2 boys who went to see her, there won't be a phonecall home as I got the impression that school have dealt with it and they are not trouble makers as such. But for the one that lives near us, she said his mum will be getting a phonecall and she will not be surprised that she gets a phonecall - it seems the school have her number on speed dial!!

So Head of Year has left it with DS1 that they will take each day as it comes and she will check on him each day for a while to make sure he is ok and that he has no worries about repercussions etc etc and from then on she said he can put a note under her door if she isn't in her office and can go and see her anytime during the day.

I feel loads happier now.

VinegarTits · 09/09/2010 15:04

Thats good news Bella, glad you got it sorted now

Yay for cheap train tickets, what station are you landing at? and what time? i will try and get something similar from my gaff Grin

VinegarTits · 09/09/2010 15:11

have just checked how much it would be for me to travel 1st class from Liv to Lon and it will be £79 return, is that good? will have to book it next month though when i get paid

VinegarTits · 09/09/2010 15:14

to travel std class will be £44 though so i might just rough it

bellavita · 09/09/2010 15:22

Vinny, I don't mind travelling standard class if I am with MrB and he can get go and get my coffee, but when I am on my own I like to have my coffee delivered to me in a nice cup by the trolley dolley!! Normal standard class from here to London would be around £87 so I am going first class for only £77. My train gets into Kings cross at 11.41.

Crispy - tis a bugger when handbags and boots just jump into your basket Envy

NormaSknockers · 09/09/2010 15:27

Bella that's brilliant about the Head of Year, sounds like she's taking it all very seriously (as she should)!

TrillianAstra · 09/09/2010 16:02

Bungalows are weird. So are ground floor flats. I like to have my bedroom above street level.

£77 sounds like a bloody good deal Vinny. It's only a 50 min train ride for me (and no advance discounts or anything) so I'll just get my ticket on the day. Don't tell Shiney but I still need to phone the Travelodge to make sure they give us twin beds.

Bella well done for speaking to the school. I want you on my side if I am ever bullied.

Trills, my voice was wavering and my heart beating really fast, I do better on the phone than face to face.

Shiney, yes you have been very boring of late... I get to talk to BoF more than you now a days.. >

Walking up stairs! How exciting! Actually IIRC the stairs are quite steep and narrow, so not so much fun to walk up.

bellavita · 09/09/2010 16:18

She rang me 3 times last night...

On her way to the chippy, when she was standing outside waiting for the order and after she had collected her order!! Grin

bellavita · 09/09/2010 16:21

Trills, you know if you share a room with Shiney you have to book her train ticket for her too.... Wink Grin

TrillianAstra · 09/09/2010 16:22

Can she work the tube?
