Oh yes Lizzy, you look fabulous in the red dress. Chris de Burgh could have written a song about you HmmGrin

LOL @ Tit & Arse on school run

Trills, but you banned fake actions a while back, hence why so honoured Blush

Think i may try a hot brush then for an alternative style. Would be for special occasions only however as i am just too damn lazy

Bella, good on you for the photos (albeit Angry) and get DS1 to write down who was there/timings etc this evening and then you can pass it all to the head of year without forgetting to mention stuff when you are emotional (rightly so) about it

jetcat · 08/09/2010 19:51

not yet bella, have posted in chat though for opinions after prompting from wonderful lizzy I wish i could make decisionsBlush

Lizzy - the wedding photos are beautiful - and would you really want to look like Natalie Imbruglia (wow, didnt think i could spell that!) - did you see her on the X FactorGrin

bellavita · 08/09/2010 19:52

Oh Lizzy, your poor DS2 Sad, don't you just want to pick them up and envelope them in loads of love and hugs when they are like that Sad. I think we always see ourselves as something we ain't - your pics are lovely, best ones or not.

Thanks jet.

Oh yes Fanny, well done for your friend.

TrillianAstra · 08/09/2010 20:01

Ah, but wasn't a fake action, it was a self-referential fake action that was not in itself fake.

I was really pretending to give you a medal. How was I pretending, you ask? Why, by typing 'gives medal' inside those pointy things.

Aren't I clever? Grin

Yes, I am really smug Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/09/2010 20:10

PMSL. You have blinded me with words science now too Grin

Poor LizzyLad Sad. It is such a long wait for him. DD1 couldn't eat breakfast on her first morning of preschool, but loved it. I'm sure DS2 will too, once he gets the bloody chance to go

Lizzylou · 08/09/2010 20:16

They stagger them starting, so the youngest ones start the first week, then the middle, then the eldest.
Thing is, I think DS2 would have been better just starting as he has had to go with DS1 this week.

Funny thing is, DS2 is sooo confident and DS1 is very shy really, odd that DS1 was fine with starting school and DS2 is scared stiff. Think DS2 just likes being the baby.
So do I!!!!

Trills, you have just blown my mind, but I still think you've reneged Grin

Lizzylou · 08/09/2010 20:18

Oh and Jet, yes, I bloody would want to look like Natalie Imbruglia, or Danni Minogue/Liv Tyler/Beyonce/Elizabeth Taylor....

Am feeling a bit MEH about me tbh at the moment, ah well.

YanknCock · 08/09/2010 20:28

OH MY CHRIST, I don't know how I'm going to do this for 38 more days. There are a bunch of people on this course who just take up all the time pissing about because they can't follow simple instructions. Thankfully I have two PCs now so I can hang around on MN on this one while I wait for something to actually happen.

DH has his sleep study kit to test for sleep apnoea (Jet, did you have to do this?). He has all kinds of kit strapped to him, we had to go to the hospital this aft to get it hooked up. He looks like a robot. Or possibly a suicide bomber. We had to go to Sainsbury's with him all wired up, and DS kept trying to grab the wires and pull them off.

bella, you go mama tiger! Good for you not letting the little shit get away with it.

bellavita · 08/09/2010 20:32

Thanks Yank Smile. I can just imagine BabyYank trying to grab the wires. Sorry the other people on the course are pants.

mittz · 08/09/2010 20:48

Bloody kids sometimes Bella, be very firm and stamp it out.. the cocky ones just don't get it.

Poor DS Lizzy Sad.. He will most likely be fine but you do just want to envelop them in hugs and never move on.. DD still regresses and mourns being my baby.

Sorry you are Meh Lizzy... I think you are truly lovely inside and out, but it is horrible to feel like that about yourself.

Crispy.. I missed a lot of Kboxing over the holidays which didn't help, exercise does help, this is kind of different though. The docs still want to keep an eye on me monthly, I'm like a bloody weeble (big, round fat bum and an inane grin lol)

DS wants help with his homework.. Hmm doh!

OP posts:
bellavita · 08/09/2010 20:56

You are most definitely not like a weeble Mittz!

YanknCock · 08/09/2010 21:11

Who are you all talking about? I met a load of gorgeous, funny women in June, none of whom were doughy or looked like weebles! So no more self-slagging please!

bellavita · 08/09/2010 21:14

Yank, are you able to come to the meet up in Nov? It would be really lovely to see you again.

Alicetheinvisible · 09/09/2010 07:41

Morning Smile

Good luck today Bella, i hope it all gets sorted (but am i wrong in agreeing with Vinny that the boy needs a good slap!)

Another rubbish night first job is to try to get a shower...

wastingaway · 09/09/2010 07:49

Morning Alice. Smile

Bella, hope it gets sorted.

We've got a friend with sleep apnoea, the gubbins he wears for sleep has made a huge difference in his energy levels, hope it works out Yank.

Mittz, will you be back to kickboxing now?

Lizzy, you look beautiful in the photos.

(not pretending, I'm acting Wink)

mittz · 09/09/2010 07:57

Wasting.. Smile yes, I went on tuesday. It was great because the ladies were all quite feisty so you could put some real umph into it! 'Sparred' with the instructress a little .

I have put more weight on which I really need to get under control.

Not much time in the mornings as I am trying very hard to Be Organised so a quick helloooo to you all Smile xx

TrillianAstra · 09/09/2010 09:05

Morning :)

mittz · 09/09/2010 09:11

Morning Trills Smile Are you well?

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 09/09/2010 09:15

I'm ok Mittz - didn't want to be too chatty or else I might distract you from your 'Being Organised' Grin

mittz · 09/09/2010 09:28

Easily distracted by good company and priddy thaings.. of which you are both Grin

DC's at school though so can kick back a little Smile When do you move?

Get keys next weekend. DP hasn't even seen the house so very exciting. It is lovely. Will be starnge to live somewhere so BIG, with an upstairs and a downstairs.

I remember when I was little my parents had an extension built, so the kitchen went from being a tiny room where you could touch both walls at once to a big room that had a table and chairs in it. Mum used to send me to the fridge to get her things because it was too far from the cooker. I think I might be a bit like that.

TrillianAstra · 09/09/2010 09:42

(our flat isn't actually small, it's a perfectly reasonable-sized 2 bed flat, but the house is humungous in comparison)

mittz · 09/09/2010 10:09

I lived in flats until I was about 27 and was thrilled when I lived somewhere that had stairs!! Now I am old and have dodgy joints and long for a bungalow Grin

You'll have to have a room for you to Interior decorate with your 'things' and one for DP to do with his minimalist likes..

OP posts:
mittz · 09/09/2010 10:15

Bella.. if the school express that the incident with DS1 didn't take place in school and therefore they can do little about it emphasize that this might be the case but DS has to spend his day at school around this lad and that in itself can be very intimidating. DS's junior school never really got this and even though not all of the bullying of DC took place IN school he found it very traumatic being in school with people that were making his life a misery out of school.

I hope all goes well xx

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 09/09/2010 10:15

Beware! Your stuff will grow to fill the space you have. Used to think our 2bedroom house was a good size, it is not anymore Hmm Grin

Must go and make a crumble (mixed fruit, mostly apple, with pear and plum too)
