Hello.

I am Mittz.

Today, I am mostly eating....Granola...

Glad things were as cool as could be for you Shiney and smiled a little at your percys and floral gums Smile. Also 'talk of the Devil'.

I was doing OK Shiney, but he had been needling at me for a week or so.. I'm not always as strong as I could be although I am learning. It's very easy to point a finger at me and pull me apart and make me feel like shit. Tis why I am in counselling. My self esteem is fragile at best. I stood my ground on the phone but then I just start believing it all.

There has just been an accident, almost identical to the one I was in, outside my house. A young lad on a bike. Hit a lorry from what I can gather. Air lifted away. I stupidly get a bit raw about things.

Cjidfree is sounding good Vinny. Any plans?
I stick a fruit tea bag with anything nasty to make it drinakable. I am detoxing generally and benefit from it.

I have a niceish fireplace in my 'quiet' room BoF, But yours sounds lovely. It has a gas effect fire thingy in it but still has a charm to it. I want a big flockati rug to go in front of it... will remind me of losing my virginity.

he loves it shiney, the teacher told me this morning that he is doing extremely well, and that yesterday he stood up in assembly and told the whole school his full name Grin which is very brave considering he is the new boy, most of his class have already been to pre-school there so they all know each other

DreamsInBinary · 03/09/2010 18:44

Mittz, how awful that the accident has happened so close to the anniversary. I can't imagine it makes it any easier to deal with.

Shiney, glad yesterday went well.

DreamsInBinary · 03/09/2010 18:49

[showing off]

I have come back from a fabulous day at the zoo with Crispy. The sun was out, the lion was roaring and the splashpark was heaven for four hot little bundles of energy.
Grin The Crispettes are exactly as cherubic looking as they appear in pics.

Now off to the gym, though. Meh.

Slugbrains · 03/09/2010 18:50

they're a piece of piss to look after. They'd stay in the tank, but you know for a fact that Tedder won't let them stay in the tank...

LOL Slug - are you high on fumes? WinkGrin

Had a lovely day with DiB, mostly relaxing and fab company Smile. The DC's all behaved pretty well, although MasterDiB was practising for the 2024 olympic sprint escape relay Grin. DiB looked fanbloodytastic at her new 'Gold' fighting weight and no more than an a carrot stick passed our lips Hmm. All i had the energy left for was a soak in the bath, so am impressed by DiB's gym visit

Mittz - hope you are ok after seeing the accident, and please believe others, your ex is being manipulative into trying to make you rewrite history to his benefit. Stay strong Lady Smile

Glad the thyroid came back ok Vinny and you are still being monitored

Envy of Trills burger and BoF's new fireplace Envy

Off for fish & chips and wine.....

Slugbrains · 03/09/2010 21:58

someone got that song stuck in my head last week. i had just got it out of my head, but i must have been singing it all week as ds has started singing it. its dead in here tonight. where is everyone hiding. cant see anything that looks exciting on active so either i have hidden it or RL is more interesting. sky is almost done. 1 cloud left i think. just got to do the edging/cutting in and then i can wash off the sky and go to bed.

jetcat · 04/09/2010 07:48

morning allSmile

Shiney, glad the day went well, and that you enjoyed your sweetsSmile

Vinny - thats great news about your thyroid levels, though its a bugger about it swinging both ways Grin I have mine tested every 6 monthes, but at least i know it will always be about the same. More or less!

Mittz, hope you are ok and got some sleep - that must have been really upsetting for you

{envy] at the fab trip to the zoo. I feel so far away from most of you sometimes, as i think it would be nice to meet up with kids etc.

Had a lovely afternoon out with new pa and my girls yesterday - we went to their favourite park, and then hit the beachGrin Took mini paddling in the sea, she loved it - and junior attemtped some rock climbing (after her week away with her youth club there's no stopping her!) Well, actually - the second rock stopped her as she got stuck and i had to climb on and rescue herGrin

mittz · 04/09/2010 08:11

Morning Smile

Thanks for comments yesterday.. my head is a little clearer now.

Glad Ted was OK Shiney. Are you having a quiet weekend at home?

Day with DiB sounds great Crispy Smile.

Is Hells awol? I know Fanny is away because of being busy and Yank can't use the keyboard but we seem a bit thin on the ground.

Have you started your Saturday plans Lizzy? It must be such a relief.

I had my hair cut yesterday and although there isn't much to do anything with, it is lovely. My hairdresser is Ace. She is Bosnian and really lovely.

I am doing some volunteer work this morning with the Arts group. And then I don't know. Might seek out some company.

Morning all,

Shiney glad to hear all went well, nice that there were some lighter notes to the day too, some light comic relief is always helpful on those days I find :) Glad you're enjoying your sweeties too, are you sharing any or did you scoff them Wink

I am most Envy of your burger Trills, was it posh burger or just a standard burger? I need to know these things Grin

Mittz glad you're feeling a bit better today, onwards & upward eh? Don't let the bastard(s) get you down!

How are you feeling Vinny? Is there you have to do to help keep your thyroid under control or is it just a case of keeping an eye on yourself & seeing in the doc if it's playing up?

Jet yay for a fab family afternoon sounds really lovely, Grin at having to rescue Junior!

Alicetheinvisible · 04/09/2010 09:56

Hello Smile

have just spent the morning catching up inbetween feeding/changing/feeding/emptying dishy/feeding/talking to fil on phone etc, and am now as far as Norma asking exactly what kind of burger Grin

Mittz - hope you feel brighter today, i have found i am much more sensitive about accidents and stuff since mine when i was pg with DD.

Shiney/Juju - Grin at african snails and Ted.

Vinny - glad you have some idea what is going on wrt health problems now.

Jet - good luck with appointment for DD

All good here, actually got some sleep last night.

TrillianAstra · 04/09/2010 10:25

Morning.

It was a posh burger Norma. Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Mmmm.

VinegarTits · 04/09/2010 10:52

Morning, i feel slightly hungover but proud of myself for refusing hot buttered toast before bed Grin i only ate protein yesterday and just had some grilled bacon and 2 poached eggs for brekka

Shiney my mate has those big snails, they just stay in the tank and do nothing, bit boring really, i like pets that perform for you Grin

Glad your head is a bit clearer this morning mittz

So what is everyone up to this weekend? me - sweet FA (well thats a lie, i have to go food shopping then got to go and put my Nan to bed later as parents have gone away and my brother is looking after her but he gets embarrassed because she keeps striping off to her knickers and vest and then waits to be put to bed Blush she is developing dementia now and is really confused bless her)

VinegarTits · 04/09/2010 10:54

oh slugs you have to take pics of your sky so we can see, it sounds fabbo

TrillianAstra · 04/09/2010 11:03

Do not get snails - Ted will let them out, they will slime everywhere, and then you will step on one with a bare foot.

I am also doing FA this weekend. It's nice. Might sort through my clothes to see what can go to charity shop instead of going to new house.

Have done Ocado order to come tomorrow, got one of those "15% off if you order for tomorrow" emails.

TrillianAstra · 04/09/2010 13:07

Boiled eggs for lunch. IF anyone is bored the 'it's as if feminism never happened' thread is quite amusing.

jetcat · 04/09/2010 14:37

Afternoon. I think slugs are great for the first five minutes Grin

Well, the appointment went ok i think. Mini was creating havic, so i rang ex to see if he could pick her up early (was coming down to pick them up anyway). He got there about 5 mins before the end - 90 mins after i had rang himHmm He lives 15 mins awayHmmHmm

Junior has to go for one to one sessions, and is now going to be assessed for ADD. I, however, dont think she has ADD, as there is no problem with her concentration - once she actually understands what she has to to. It is the understanding and the processing of information she struggles with (has a processing disorder). But, i am the mum, so what to i knowHmm They are not finalising any diagnosis of aspergers until after the speech and language assessment - so we are still waiting. But, on the plus side, they are going to work on reducing her anxieties, which are really high at the moment. Fingers crossed.

When ex finally did pick them up, there was another request for money. He had told them he was taking them to a fair, but then said only if i gave them some money for the rides etc. You will be proud of me - i said noGrin I said i couldnt afford to pay for all the activities when they are with me, and then more when they are with him. He was ppissed off, so i am hoping he doesnt take hs mood out on the girls.

Finally, i will end on another gem from mini. I did umm and ahh over posting this, and dont want to offend anyone, but i hope it will come across in the spirit it is intendedBlush

At nursery school on Thursday, while waiting to go in, mini spotted a little boy standing next to her. So she shouts, all excited, "look mum, i'm not the smallest anymore" - making all the other parents smile. She jumps around a bit more, still shouting it. The little boy turns around, and i am asumming (from his facial features) he has a kind of dwarfismBlushBlush I then try to spend the next 5 minutes hiding mini in the toilet - to stop her shoutingBlush

TrillianAstra · 04/09/2010 15:21

Glad the appointment went well Jet :)

If the other parents smiled then presumably no-one was offended that a 3 yr old (is she 3?) noticed that a little boy was little.

BitOfFun · 04/09/2010 15:26

Hello all. Am slacking off while DP and DB plaster my kitchen. I should be cleaning or something really, but they are treading plaster dust everywhere, so there's not much point until the end, right?

Have been out and looked at more tiles. All sounds very dull, but I am rather enjoying it. It will be so amazing to have a presentable kitchen after years of squalor, and I do like hunting for bargains.
