You can borrow my chink in the rain cloud any time you like Jaq. You might not feel like it but you are extraordinarily inspirational, how you have coped at all is beyond a miracle and it sounds like your little family is rock solid to be weathering this crappy storm. Keep on keeping on and a big MWAH!! Smile

Afternoon all Grin

Just running in, been stupidly busy today! Although DD is in full days at school she has to be picked up for lunch today & tomorrow, so took her to school this morning then dashed to Tesco to do the shoping, back home to unload it all then back up to the school again to collect DD for lunch then back to drop her off again then a post office run now home again with just enough time to hang out the washing before having to leave to get DD again - I'll have buns of steel at least with all this walking Grin

Shiney hope your Grandads funeral goes as well as it can, thinking of you.

TrillianAstra · 02/09/2010 18:00

Hi all, you have been quiet.

Going for dinner with some friends this evening - when we move they will practically be our neighbours.

VinegarTits · 02/09/2010 18:04

why do bloody teacher allow children to use non washable black markers Angry thats one of his new school jumpers ruined already, my mum has soaked it and it wont come out grrr!

Lizzylou · 02/09/2010 18:17

Oh Vinny, the same happens with DS1's, so am waiting for DS2 to be even worse to be honest.
You could try stain devils?

Mucky, have bought some of that cream, here's hoping!

Glad DD enjoyed school, Norma Smile

MuckyDucky · 02/09/2010 18:18

dont know vinny. its crap its not even survived the first week. But my philosophy is if the school chose to provide my child with pens that dont wash out, i chose to send my child in spoilt clothes.

Hope shiney's day hasnt been too rough.

I decided today to get ds' room decorated as originally planned. which is fine but i need to strip the green skirting board so that i can paint it white. plus i need to tidy my room as ds will need a bed on the floor. Tomo is going to be mad Confused.

Why do i do this to myself?

VinegarTits · 02/09/2010 18:27

have threw stain remover on it and put it back in the washing machine, its just bloody annoying

on the plus side, the teacher said he is settling in really well Smile

jetcat · 02/09/2010 18:30

Vinny - thats not onShock I think i would be having a word with the teacher if wasnt such a wuss Grin

Yup -hope your day is going ok shiney

Trills - i have been quiet on here, as junior has hada hell of a daySad She is currently working on a three page essay about why she needs to improve her attitude and behaviour

NormaSknockers · 02/09/2010 18:59

Oh Vin what a PITA, those things aren't bloody cheap either Angry

Oh dear Jet, sounds like Junior's had one of them days eh?

Mucky you are a brave lady, I'm too lazy to paint so much as a picture let alone an entire room Grin

Have a nice evening Trills, have a drink or six for me

Lizzy is your baby starting school next week?

bellavita · 02/09/2010 20:04

Have a lovely evening Trills

Vinny, that is such a pain Sad, but I wouldn't go buying a new one. I used to close my eyes to it (and still do)

Jaq, great to see you - come back!! It was my pleasure Smile

Oh dear jet, doesn't sound like Junior had a good day?

Shiney, hope you are home safe and well?

I have been naughty tonight - but I am blaming it the Tesco delivery man. I had a 5-7 drop and I got home at 4.50pm and he was waiting outside the house. Seen as my shopping came at the beginning of the slot, we went out for a fish and chip tea. They were really delish Blush

My new lady at work - by 'eck, she chewed my right ear off Shock and is full of self-importance! My head was spinning by the time I left work. She is still working two mornings a week as a TA at one of the local primary schools - so she knows the Head's secretary and a few of the other staff and some of the children that came from there...

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/09/2010 20:05

Evening Smile

Hope everyone has had good days, and Shiney, hope yours went ok too.

I have combined gym at 7.30am Shock, work, supermarket shop, work, toy clearout, work and childcare. Am pooped and had very disappointing steamed red snapper for dinner Sad

Phoned DH this afternoon to find out when he might be home and apparently he was trying to have a kip in the car in a motorway service station in Lancaster. Apparently he has been working hard (forgetting to mention staying up v late drinking with his mate last night Hmm)

Vinny, glad DS is settling in well Smile. But Grrrrrr for the marker pen.

Norma, your DD looked gorgeous. Hope she had a good day too

Lizzy, i hope your creams worked. Did you have antihistamine too? At least if you are spotty you can hog the wedding buffet as everyone will be giving you a wide berth Grin

Mittz, sorry today drags up memories, but so glad you came through the accident to be here with us Smile

DD's very excited about meeting the DiBettes tomorrow and DD1 has made her packed lunch already

bellavita · 02/09/2010 20:21

Hello Crispy Smile. Will DH be home tonight? You really have been busy today. the DIBettes sounds like a 60's backing group Grin

VinegarTits · 02/09/2010 20:24

wow crispy i cant even pack that much in a week never mind a day! i like Lancaster services, i always pop in for some M&S sushi on my way to the lakes Grin

Envy at fish & chips Bella

i dont how i managed it, but i have eaten 3 lots of noodles today, noodles for dinner, then again for tea, then i finished what ds2 left, i think i need to do a food shop Hmm

VinegarTits · 02/09/2010 20:25

Grin at DIBettes, i only just clicked who they are!

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/09/2010 20:37

LOL @ services Vinny Grin. Do they give an employee discount? Wink

Bella - DH got home 5 minutes ago and has gone to bed. At least i get a warm bed to climb into i suppose. Hope your ear has recovered somewhat from your assistant. She sounds like an over exuberant puppy with attitude Hmm

bellavita · 02/09/2010 20:39

Oooh yes, nice warm bed. I could not get my feet warm for toffee last night. I just could not justify putting bed socks on in early September.

VinegarTits · 02/09/2010 20:46

i love climbing into a crisp cold bed all to myself, i get too hot, maybe im going through the change Hmm

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/09/2010 20:50

Vinny, our bedroom is underground, with a tiled floor and no heating. You would be in heaven Grin

DreamsInBinary · 02/09/2010 21:00

I would never get out of bed Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/09/2010 21:04

Just how i feel most of the time DiB Grin

jetcat · 02/09/2010 21:08

junior has redeemed herself - just hoovered up the biggest spider i have ever seenShock I think she is just nervous about going back to school next week, and she has her first camhs appointment on saturday - so a lot for her to take inHmm No excuses for back answering though - it really riles meBlush

have a lovely day tomorrow Crispy and Dib - and the dibettesGrinVery jealous!

Nice to see you JaqSmile

MuckyDucky · 02/09/2010 21:11

I have had a hot water bottle for over a week. I hate being cold at night but refuse to put the heating on yet. I am also under 2 duvets (thin mind you - not dug the winter duvet out yet)

Everyone sounds so busy. I feel like i have done nothing today. I need a filling replaced and probably a wisedom tooth out but it does explain the terrible toothache from before the weekend. unfortunately the tooth with be a GA/hospital thing :(

It has been quiet recently. didnt help with mn crashing earlier. :(

Lizzylou · 02/09/2010 21:15

I want to meet the Dibettes and the Crispettes!!!

Hope you have fun, I will mostly be acting in a Kofi Annan fashion at bruv's wedding, have fun.

Norma, no, my baby starts school on 13th Sept, be prepared!

Vinny, am with you, I love a cold bed and hate my feet getting hot, cannot stand it.

bellavita · 02/09/2010 21:19

I have heard from Shiney, she is back safe and sound but exhausted - 5 hours of driving.

VinegarTits · 02/09/2010 21:21

hot water bottle Shock its been 24 degrees here today (and warm all week) its just to hot, i have both bedrooms windows open

i had 2 wisdom teeth out at the same time under LA, maybe you wont need a GA mucky? have they x-rayed it?

Crispy and the DIBettes is a funky name for a band Grin
