Alice, you are an ubber fantabulous mummy Smile. Mmmm chocolate pudding. How was your dinner with friends the other night?

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 01/09/2010 20:47

wasting, I have been trying very hard to think of a great answer to your 'meow you doing' but am bereft of all wit! Grin

Also, only sniggering slightly at your DH and the flypaper Grin

Had a lovely drink out last night with Crispy. V nice to have a chat and put the world to rights!

I've had a quick read through and it sounds like loads of us have DC's starting school this time (DD is ready and raring to run the school!).

Re the IPAD, I was looking at that last night and found a website called freebiejeebies that claims you can get a free one but you need to agree to be advertised to for a period of time. I'm going to do some searches on the site see if it is kosher, but I am tempted as I have been seduced by thge loveliness that is the Ipad.

DreamsInBinary · 01/09/2010 20:51

MyCat Grin

Are you zooing? Please do say yes!

Back from the gym where I ran and loved it. Screw my wonky hips [defiant]

[...and slightly sore...]

There was a temp circuit-master today and she descibed me as 'slight'. Ha! I looked at her like a lemon for a while until I realised she meant me.

wastingaway · 01/09/2010 20:55
Grin

Jet, we did a hand massage, using scrub and cream that makes your hands feel gorgeous. Lots of yummy stuff in Lush and they do vouchers if that would help. Smile

Breastfeeding requires approx. 500 cals more than normal.
Oats are good for milk production, but I don't advise eating mainly flapjacks. Blush Grin

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 21:10

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 01/09/2010 21:15

DIB I can't I'm afraid Sad. I need to see the doc (got asthma after a chest infection last week) and only sodding appt I can get is for 11:30 on Friday - by the time I get int o see doc (they are always late) and get out again it'll be too late to come meet you guys.

I hop eyou have a lovely time, I quite like Bristol Zoo, although last time I took DD it was bucketing down and all the animals had hiddne in the under growth. I had a lot of conversations with DD that went:

Look DD, there's the lions/gorillas/various monkey type things/other cats etc etc ..

WHere mummy?

There, in the corner darling

I can't see them mummy

There, under the tree/behind the bush/in their shelter (watching us from the dry and wondering what the stupid humans are doing stood outside getting soaking wet)

Oh... I still can't see it mummy

Oh well sweetheart, lets go look at the fish (again) and the penguins (again), they don't mind the rain

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 21:33

spoke to soon about ds2 being fasto, he has cried for the last hour because he has pains in his legs Confused he has fallen asleep on the couch now but i am slightly concerned

DreamsInBinary · 01/09/2010 21:35

Darn doctor, MyCat. Promise you'll call first thing tomorrow and Friday and check for cancellations?

Poor DS2 Vinny. Was he wearing new shoes today? Or perhaps they had to sit cross-legged and he's not used to it?

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 21:39

i dont know dib, its probably just growing pains, i just worry because the doctors suspect he has a bone disorder related to dwarfism but they have never given us a confirmed diagnosis

jetcat · 01/09/2010 21:44

hope he is ok vinny - maybe he did a lot of running around? understandable to be worried though

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 01/09/2010 21:49

DIB - I am taking the DC's to Legoland tomorrow but I will indeed try and get a cancellation, if I can get one for around 9am then I'm on my way to hunt down those hidden lions!

vinny, I hope your DS is OK.

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 22:00

Dd2 has just been up too. Massive Poo Incident.

Trying to get rid of the bigger ones now- first day at school tomorrow, they are chattering away about it, and arguing about who is the best skier. Oh for a middle-class childhood Grin

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 22:01

Growing pains, Vinny

Or just walking round lots. Sounds tired.

TrillianAstra · 01/09/2010 22:05

Massive poo incident doesn't sound good BoF. No pouffes that are not yours lying around the house at the moment are there?

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 22:53

It wasn't as bad as that time! Mostly contained in the nappy, thankfully. I just hope she settles now- early start for her tomorrow.

TrillianAstra · 01/09/2010 23:07

Back to school? Is she (and are you) looking forward to it?

How do I get a long summer holiday without being a teacher?

Actually screw that, I just need a big pile of money so that work is optional. I do like my job most of the time but I think I could adjust to being a lady of leisure.

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 23:51

School is music to my ears, yes.

Independently wealthy would be a fucking aria...

mittz · 02/09/2010 06:41

Ditto BoF.. Smile

I am fooking knackered and so ready for next wednesday, and then a break at half term....

Hello all Smile xx

Morning Smile

and hello Mittz - you are up early.

I will be thinking of you today Shiney x

Normal day for me today - the kids are back at my school. Yr7's at 8.40 (no doubt some with parents holding their hands..) and Yr's 8,9,10 & 11 starting at 11.00.

I also have a new person starting with me today.

Oh I forgot to say, my maternity colleague from reception came in yesterday with snuggly baby - she is 7 weeks old and still dinky. She has started to smile now. Absolutely gorgeous >

Enjoy legoland MyCat.
