I am looking forward to DS2 starting school as he'll be like the Finnster and will tell me indepth about his day.

Sorry, it went all wierd on my ass there...

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 15:53

I am impressed that you got lots of information out of the finnster. ds tells me nothing. aparantly he cant remember anything ever Hmm Sounds like he has throughly enjoyed his day. pjs and sofa sounds like a winning combination too.

TrillianAstra · 01/09/2010 16:07

On your ass Lizzy? Grin

Sounds like a nice day, I'd quite like to go to reception for a day. :)

mittz · 01/09/2010 17:04

They used to have a snuggle corner at DC's school for those that couldn't stay awake Smile

Shiney!

Were you not tempted to give them an extra 80p? I think I would be Grin

Lizzylou · 01/09/2010 17:23

I have always wanted a Giant African Landsnail Grin

That nursery must have been serving the kids bloody Foie Gras for it to be so bloody expensive!!!

Ted will love Preschool, am sure.

Hope you're OK Smile

mittz · 01/09/2010 17:28

Oh, I'd be happy if there was a big African Snail.. or African Stick insects.. they are mahoosive.. I likey bugs.

Good call Shiney..I might channel your kick ass attitude.

Evening Smile

Hope everyone is well?

Shiney, I txted you today err where is my reply? Grin

Great news though Shiney on the nursery.

Work was ummm busy! Loads and loads of parents from 8.10am coming in to buy uniform even though we have been open all summer for them to get it. Stupid questions being asked.... I must have sounded like a broken bleedin' record.

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 18:35

Shiney - sounds like that was more positive then you had feared.

Bella - they left it to see how much sodding child grows over the holiday. Could you not have made a poster with the most common questions asked? Wine or G&T essential recovery kit me thinks

Mittz. I have a giant wood louse you would love. His name is woody.

TrillianAstra · 01/09/2010 18:49

My brother used to call all woodlice 'Peter'. No idea why.

mittz · 01/09/2010 18:55

I name bugs in our house. If there is a wasp or something that the kids don't like I'll say..'oh it's OK it's Trevor/Neville/colin, he's not staying for long, he won't hurt you.' Hmm well it works for us Grin

good news about the nursery fees shiney, sounds more like a concentration camp than a nursery though, Ted will love pre school

sounds like a hard day, bloody parents Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/09/2010 18:57

Woodlice here get eaten Hmm

Had a lovely day in Bath with one of my antenatal MN friends, playing in the park, eating at Wagamama's and shopping (2 very nice Fat Face tops & some Lakeland ice lolly makers) Grin

Vinny - F looks SOOOOOOOoooooo cute in his uniform and sounds like he has taken to school like a duck to water Smile

Shiney - DD1's preschool is in a prefab classroom thing but just been awarded outstading in every ofsted category. Hope DS settles in there ok next week

Lizzy, MyCat would love to meet you too so you HAVE to come down for a visit. I am meeting DiB at the zoo too tomorrow so a bit of a MN week for me Grin

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 18:57

we have a spider called Fred in our house

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 18:59

I am here!

Shiney- so glad you are joining the Great Unwashed, it is vastly under-rated on here and you will be much happier.

The metal macbook pro is indeed a thing of beauty- but quite heavy I suppose. That is what I bought for DP back in the days I had any money.

I am only pootling on MN currently as I am immersed in DIY stuff, but if I can get dd2 to bed pronto I will be back. Or iron. What to do, what to do...

mittz · 01/09/2010 19:01

Glad DS had a fab day Vinny.. is he asleep yet? DC's always crashed for first few terms.

OP posts:
MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 19:02

come back and chat. the ironing pile will only restart itself tomo anyway Grin

I think i shall hunt woody down and take a picture.

TrillianAstra · 01/09/2010 19:07

BoF where have you been? Are we too boring for you?

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 19:12

No Grin

But I like to sit and read to catch up properly, and I've only been popping on MN in 5 minute bursts from my phone for the last few days.

I am actually trying to use my post-holiday energy to Achieve Great Things (well, read more novels or do some work around the house) and spend slightly less time in my pajamas on mumsnet.

bellavita · 01/09/2010 19:14

BoFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! - missing youuuuuuuuuuuu. Come back Grin

Mucky, that would have been a great idea about the poster Grin. G&T's!

Envy at Crisp and mn meets Envy

Vinny, the Finnster sure did look cute! Gorgeous boy.

Norma, I have txted you...
