Oooh, gold, how exciting!

I saw that DiB!

You could keep the Finnster off school til he is 5, but he'd just start at a later stage (not from the beginning like everyone else) so it doesn't make a lot of sense. Plus I bet he'll like it anyway. :)

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 09:40

aww DIB Grin your ds will be the same, girls wont be able to resist those lovely blonde curls!

i am watching hairy bikers and contemplating a bacon and egg sarnie Blush

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 09:42

his birthday is July anyway, if i did keep him off for another year he would still have to go to a private nursery unless i took a year out but i dont think my bank manager would let me Grin

TrillianAstra · 01/09/2010 09:54

I always tell the worried August-baby threads that the majority of my friends at Cambridge were summer babies (May/June/July) - only anecdotal evidence but it sometimes makes people feel better. :)

NormaSknockers · 01/09/2010 10:12

Yay for the Finnster, is he half or full days Vin?

I don't get all this worry about month of birth, DS is an August babe (I was July) & I haven't given it a 2nd thought, does that make me a bad mum? Blush

wastingaway · 01/09/2010 10:13

Can I argue a point using television comedy as evidence? Ok then, I will... Grin
Like Rimmer in Red Dwarf, one Rimmer got kept behind at school and one got ahead, and it was Ace Rimmer the success who had it harder.
Theory on august babies total amzingness.

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 10:16

he is doing full days Norma

ds1 is an August baby and was always top of the class throughout school despite being the youngest in his class

Lizzylou · 01/09/2010 10:20

Aww bet Finn is loving his first day, Vinny. How cute did he look in his uniform?? We need photos!

Loving Wasting's Red Dwarf take on academic success Grin

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 10:26

Lizzylou · 01/09/2010 10:27

Ooooh, he looks adorable!
He also looks very happy and excited, the DS's uniform is very similar.

NormaSknockers · 01/09/2010 10:28

Ooo yes we need photos, bet he looked adorable!

Grin @ Wasting, love it!

wastingaway · 01/09/2010 10:30

Aww! Vin, he looks so smart.

Grin Philosophy A level was mainly a discussion of previous night's Star Trek. Grin

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 10:50

Lizzylou · 01/09/2010 11:13

Meant to say
Well done DIB! I can't imagine you could look any more gorgeous than when we saw you, but am glad you are feeling good and rightly proud of your Gold awards (and keyring!).

Crispy, am very jealous of your meet with the lovely Mycat, how is she doing?

I have never got the the i-envy, just not that bovvered I suppose.

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 12:07

ds1 has just gone off on his holiday and left me in charge of his new macbook mwahahaha Grin

im just playing with it so i can compare it to mine of course, not because it is brand spanking new and much better than mine Wink

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 12:16

Grin @vinny.

so how much better is it?

VinegarTits · 01/09/2010 12:30

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 12:52
Grin
NormaSknockers · 01/09/2010 12:58

Vin he is absolutely adorable, he is going to break hearts when he's older!

NormaSknockers · 01/09/2010 12:59

Dumb question for you all, do the DC need to wear socks with their plimsols?

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 13:07

ds doesnt tend to. not sure what he does at school but can always tell if he has had pe as his socks are often on insdie out.

NormaSknockers · 01/09/2010 13:14

I'm just wondering what to do as I'm getting everything ready & just realised I haven't got her any PE socks but not sure if she actually needs them or not. The plimsols she has are the velcro type so I'm guessing she could wear them without socks?

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 13:59

or just the socks she would normally have on. i think this is what ds did on sports day.

MuckyDucky · 01/09/2010 14:01

Dont forget to write her name on them with permenant marker pen. shoes need to be labelled because even if they have their labels on they still might go missing. ds lost a pari of school shoes last year. Hmm
