Jabula also has alphonse and Mona wet bags which are fab! (((should have saved myself one!)

speaking of nappies coming soon, wait till you try the new Bamboozle Stretch from Tots Bots!

www.cleangreennappy.co.uk/real-nappies/shaped-nappies/tb-zs2

Having always thought Bedbugs were the softest & most comfy nappy ever, these Stretchies are even better! It's the softest, most squishy/flexible nappy I've ever seen. And after 6 months of use, the nappy is as soft as ever .... without any tumble drying! Every time I take it off the drying rack, I'm amazed that it's so soft without tumble drying - far better than any other natural fibre nappy I've seen. And the stretchy-ness of it means it fits Benjamin with ease at nearly 3 years - he could probably wear it for another year or more if needed! And yet it's so flexible and non-bulky, that you could put it on a newborn without feeling you were swamping the baby. Yet it's so snug (in a comfy way!) that it's impossible for anything to escape out of this nappy - the most explosive poo can't go anywhere except in the nappy!

And not least, is how absorbent it is - amazing! Clement would always totally soak a Bedbug overnight. Well, after only 2 prewashes, Clement wore one for 11 hours - no leaks, and half the nappy was still dry! So that will tell you something - this nappy can soak, soak, and still soak up more! And the lovely feeling fabric doesn't feel soaked either - it has a great feel to it, even wet!

Anyway, just wanted to pass this on to others here, as I'm rather excited that the nappy is being launched in 2 weeks time! Can't wait to be able to buy more of these fantastic nappies. I think I'll start using them for Clement's night nappies once I get more of them!

My puter is broken The power pack has sizzled, sparked and declared it's self dead at the hands of mn.

So if I go dark, like Jack Bauer, it's because we are being repaired.

Not a good time! I am testing things and need to be in contact!

DH has t'internet on his phone though so will be able to check in etc.

TotsBots excitement indeed!

Very exciting about V3 Octo - like BumGenius What changes have you made? Had no school run and no sling wearing oppurtunities today, nor this weekend as away without children to a Christening.

Will be back in action on Monday though.

Those Tots Bots look like flexi-tots but without the 'high tec' outer and microfibre in the centre. I loved my flexi's til the bamboo lining disintegrated and I had to send them back to be replaced. Have hardly used the replacement ones.
They do sound fab though, you kept this from us for 6 months?
Having a great morning boys slept til 8am, and Elliot had got his and Lewis's breakfast all by himself by the time I managed to heave my self out of bed.
Connor slept til 9am and when I went in he was playing quietly and looking at the sunlight dancing on the ceiling through the curtains
Bet the peace won't last.

octothechildherder · 30/01/2010 10:20

TotsBots are going to replace alot of their nappies - cool new patterns and designs - think soon, but not sure.

Having clearout for village jumble sale ... wading through the cupboards and garage ...

thebluefoxategreensocks · 30/01/2010 10:36

mumface: These are different to the Flexitots and is a much better/improved fabric to the one that people had problems with balding - that was a kind of velour, I think. But this is a tough, yet soft & flexible fabric. Afraid I never really liked the Flexitots (though I know a lot of people do). I guess it was the white outer that didn't appeal to me. But I think these new nappies will be popular - once people try them, they'll see why they're so good! So yeah, can't spill the beans while they're still in the testing stage, but now that they're for real and about to be lauched, I can finally share my excitement! lol

swampster · 30/01/2010 10:55

I tested the stretchies too - they are fabby nappies but I was too wedded to my pockets and bedbugs to fall head over heels in love. They really feel right though, squishy and comfy, like you are giving your baby's bum the very best.

I'm not a fan of flexitots either, they are too much like shell-suits and DH always mistook them for AIOs.

4andnotout · 30/01/2010 11:10

I love the stretchy bamboo too, dd4 wore it overnight last night without any boosting and it was only slightly damp at the the bottom and totally dry half way up the backa nd front.

Clean Green Nappy is very naughty as stockists have been asked to wait until Feb 14th to launch, which is when Tots are launching on their website. Also just in time for the Baby Show, where some very lovely and knoweledgeable ladies might just be selling them.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 30/01/2010 11:56

oh i see, they're not the only ones, I think there are a couple of others that come up on google.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 30/01/2010 13:58

Hmm, thinking about it rachel. But its the £2.50 p+p (second class) for one nappy that puts me off, its really bumping the price up. They do look good though. Whats the drying time like? We have gone onto microfibre now really to reduce drying time - can't wait till summer when I can stick my washing outside! Really doing my head in atm!

How did you get into testing nappies for tots

Well, once they're officially out, you may well find online shops with better postage rates.

swampster · 30/01/2010 17:30

Happy Birthday, JennyPenny!

MrsDimples · 30/01/2010 18:23

Happy Birthday Jenny

Jenny if there is somewhere doing a low amount for postage I'd go in with you, I fancy a couple or more my size 1 little lambs are getting to the end of their size for us & these sound aces. I have a couple of flexitots & they're not great for us.

My itti Brite hasn't turned up - not sure how to contact to let them know

Can someone help me see the picture of the Poncho please, I am a FB friend of 2 of you , just ordering a Rose & Rebellion carrier . . . . the difference on an ergo is about the price of a Poncho . . . . . I may need a diddy version though . . . . hhmmmm

4 - The Saint, which despite showing OH several times in the decision making process - a lengthy & considered process with other carriers - he then declared he hated it the moment I ordered it & he didn't know it was that one my response, "its got a black side for you"
Am I right in thinking your dinky like me? I'd sent a msg's to Ergo & R&B this week asking about suitability for my dinkiness & got a rather unhelpful response from Ergo & very lovely response from R&B - guess where my money went, and {whispers} managed to wangle a little discount

You get a money back trial period too, but it says you can only wear it indoors, so I'm planning to do a bit of Wii Fit Plusing in it, to test it out!

apols for non nappy talk

4andnotout · 30/01/2010 19:44

Excellent choice Mrs D Thats the one I fancy if I ever have dc5 yes I'm 4'11 but slightly ahem rotund, however r&r do a bigger waist clip if asked so I'd still love one but dd4 hates being carried now!

OP posts:
octothechildherder · 30/01/2010 19:54

MrsDimples · 30/01/2010 22:06

Octo - in the words of Shaggy, 'it wasn't me', unless my phone has developed its own shopping habit the photography looks great

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 31/01/2010 01:44

MrsDimples, are you HD in RL? Just checking I have the right person! Lol

Sorry for quick post - just got in from work (1.30am so no longer my birthday! )

Thanks for the birthday wishes DH worked 7am till 7pm and I started at 8pm so only saw each other for 5 mins today on my birthday!

bagpuss · 31/01/2010 08:29

Morning everyone. Finally managed to speak to dt2's consultant on Thursday late afternoon and they have decided that they will perform a balloon catheter procedure to stretch dt2's valve and thin it that way until he is big enough for a replacement (hopefully when he is a teenager). The good news it that it is a quick procedure and I am keeping everything crossed that the consultant manages to do everything he can so that dt2 doesn't have to go back in for more serious surgery. Thanks again for your well wishes - we most likely won't be going in for at least another week so you might have to put up with me take my mind off things with talk of lovely fluff for a little while longer yet .

Tell me more about these new tots bots then. They look very nice Rachel. How do you get to test them, I am very . Tots are my all time favourite nappy I think. I am so tempted to pre-order some . Also does anyone know about the one size tots wraps that are on that same site? I haven't seen them anywhere else and they aren't on the tots website either.

MrsD, love those R&R carriers. I have just got a coorie for carrying dts around the house in when either of them is being fractious. DH was like this when I showed him but I really like it.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Jenny .

Octo, well done on Challenge Octo coming to fruition. I think a little bag would be a nice touch too - my coorie came in one with a booklet showing how to wear it which I thought was really good and professional looking.

Re: Fleece sleepsuits for adults, I am currently wearing a pair of pyjamas made totally out of fleece (the bottoms kind of remind me of flongies ) and they are the most comfortable and warm things I own - I really recommend them .
