do i live in a black hole????

kiddicare have just emailed to inform me that my item was attempted to be delivered twice last week, and i wasnt in and didnt contact the courier on the 'card' they left

dh is recovering from surgery still, dd has chicken pox, and ds has bronchitis.. er ive haven't been anywhere in weeks.

i tell you i am having one of those months, i think im gonna stop shopping online, this is getting ridiculous.

CharlottesClan · 19/03/2010 22:40

oh and they didnt leave a card. otherwise i would have called them wouldnt i??

mumface · 20/03/2010 08:39

Oh CC that is ridiculous, I reckon the drivers just don't bother sometimes when they are running late or the item has not been loaded on. My exdh used to drive a van and he said it happens all the time!

Jenny-that punkin Butt is also my fave out of all the stuff I have tried it smells divine.

mumface - its lovely isn't it? I don't like to fave too much about the stuff I am selling incase it is taken the wrong way. I can't decide how many bottles to keep for me? We will be back in cloth soon after we move into the new house and want to have enough of the solution to last me the next 2 years! But it does last ages so don't think I will actually need that many?!

mumface · 20/03/2010 11:42

Mine lasted months, I used about 4 drops per tub of 15-20 wipes and that was plenty. I have a few other ones. I've got some little star shaped soap pieces that smell (a bit) of orange, so scrumptious strawberry, cheeky wipes lavender & chamomile and a Northern essence foaming one that need using up too!

JennyPenny22 · 20/03/2010 16:00

I might list my cubes actually as I have a few brands from various places I think but really I don't use them as I hate that sort of soap scum stuff you end up with in the pot. I much prefer the drops as they don't do that!

JennyPenny22 · 20/03/2010 20:06

We need a new thread!

I have just listed some BBH and a WNNL, as well as the wipes solution and relisted the coolababys and yoyoos as anything not sold in the next day or so will have to be packed into to storage

Babybots · 20/03/2010 23:06

Evening all!

I cant believe ive only just stopped and sat down! Ive ironed a whole load of clothes (like a mountain) and mopped the floors.

Well ive been trying out some new night nappies - Ds is now in bed in a Little Lamb micro and PP fleece longies (of which i have some more for site but not listed yet!) Last night i was very impressed with Lollipop Micro and Fleece so we shall see how Little Lamb compares it to. Ive had to opt for the breathable nappies and fleece as Ds sheems to have really sensitive skin and doesnt do well with the PUL over night - leasves him all red and sore. Hopefully ive found the answer!

Any way hope you are all ok and well!

Hi Nappy people!

I'm not a regular on this thread but have been know to pop in for advice from those in the know. And here I am again to pick your brains!

A friend wants to buy some Tots Bots off me and I have no idea how much to ask! It's a pack of 5 multi-coloured Size 2 bamboo with a wrap. The wrap and 1 nappy have been used about a dozen times. One nappy has been pre-washed and the other 3 are brand new.

I'm a pocket fan and didn't get on with the tots at all. Hope you can help with an idea of how much they go for.

Thanks very much

mumface · 21/03/2010 23:08

Hi, ThePinkOne, depends on how good a friend she is, but personally I would ask for somewhere around £20.

ThePinkOne · 22/03/2010 08:30

Thanks mumface That's what I was thinking.

newcarnewmoney · 22/03/2010 10:42

Yes I think thats a good price.

Octo - How long roughly would some custom fleece longies take if I ordered from your site? Do you still do a MN discount code?

HAve been selling on ebay. Its funny what sells on there ad what doesn't. My MEOS are going for over £15 for a set of 4 with still a day left to go. But yet the set LP rainbow pockets are about £1 still and not long to go!

NappyShedSal · 22/03/2010 13:08

Hello all, I'm having a crap day and you ladies will understand! Firstly I was diagnosed as diabetic this morning. I'm also on Day 2 of a period from hell - really heavy (TMI). But when I went to put my CSP into the wetbag on the back of the bathroom door I discovered it was half full - left over from last month - ewwwww! Obvioulsy it's all dry now - am about to soak in cold water before putting in the washing machine with some bio powder, but I can't decide whether I should do a hot wash, which makes sense on one hand, or a cool wash which also makes sense. And is it worth some putting some Clean and Fresh sanisitiser in if I'm using bio powder. (Or shall I just bin the lot???!)

JennyPenny23 · 22/03/2010 13:21

Hi all, quick post as I am packing today and moving stuff into storage tomorrow! I am, at last, coming to the end of my nappy overload! I think there will still be some to talk to storage but its manageable now

Hoping everybody expecting a large parcel from me will get them today after all the mess around with the courier

JennyPenny23 · 22/03/2010 13:40

Nappyshedsal - I would put it on a quickwash, then soak in clean and fresh and then wash as usual.

octothechildherder · 22/03/2010 17:51

newcarnewmoney - about two weeks - shipment due to leave end of this week.

sal - sounds hideous - does that mean you will need to do the injections? My friend was diagnosed last year and he feels much better now it is under control.

NappyShedSal · 22/03/2010 19:57

No, no injections - at least not yet. One tablet daily, careful diet and see what happens.

octothechildherder · 22/03/2010 20:11

My mum is at that stage with it Sally. She isn't great at the careful diet thing tho so wouldn't be suprised if she ended up on the injections.

How have you got on with the Issy Bear myjob? I love the ponyskin & blue flowers minky ones (a boy can wear blue flowers right?)
My new baby is on my fb page now. She came with a terry nappy & pink pin, so glad I didn't buy one (it is a facecloth whoever suggested that!)

octothechildherder · 22/03/2010 22:27

It was me!!

Where have you been myjob?

Will chat tomorow

JennyPenny23 · 23/03/2010 09:25

I have finally, pretty much sold out of coolababys! Although I still have the box of AIOS but I haven't been putting much effort into selling them yet as they were up above a tall wardrobe. Will see if I can shift some today! And still have some fleece pockets too. And the Yoyoos. I am wary of selling out of Yoyoos as once they are gone, they are gone, I wont ever really be able to get any more! And I do love them! But I can't keep them all for myself! . Had planned to keep some more applix coolababys but I dont think there wil be any left for me! Certainly the colours I wanted have gone

4andnotout · 23/03/2010 15:14

Hiya everyone, i'm having a really crap day today, dd4 woke me up by projectile vomitting on me and the bed, she has been sick and had diarreah all day, then to top it all the last nappy had worms in it, so dp had to dash next door to the dispensary and get some medicine for us all Its horrible, it makes me feel unclean (although i know we are not) I have frantically bleached everything, hoovered everywhere, stripped the beds, washed all the nappies on a 60 with extra rinses and tumble dried fully. And dd4 is still ill, although i finally fed her to sleep so have laid her in her pushchair for a while.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

bagpuss · 23/03/2010 16:33

Oh, huge sympathies 4 . I remember when ds2 caught them - I made dh drive to the next town to a 24 hour pharmacy to get some Ovex for us all and then it made us all ill and so ds1 and dd1 ended up not in school the following day. Such a hassle and I don't think I have ever cleaned and hovered and washed as much in my whole life. We now have nail brushes by every sink and I make the dcs use them as often as I can.

dt1's rash is still not gone. I took her to the HV a few weeks ago and they prescribed canesten and it hasn't made any difference at all, so this morning we went to the GP who has given us some metanium. I can't bare to use it with our lovely nappies and so the dts are both is some sposies I had left over from hospital, until it has cleared . They both stink of chemicals and have such skinny little bottoms in them and I am so fed up.

Octo, sorry never got round to e-mailing you about the soakers - have you any medium ones in girly colours? Had my eye on a wetbag too but it sold out!

Jenny good news about the coolababys at last.

Sal, hope your day got better yesterday. Sorry to hear about the diabetes and hope that you manage to get it under control soon.

mumface, you should definitely get the blue flowers issy bear. We have a white flowery WNOS and I really love it - such nice fabric. Keep looking at them for the dts but don't need any more really so am being restrained.

octothechildherder · 23/03/2010 19:38

yuk 4 sounds hideous

bagpuss - have HUGE wetbag stock coming with some fab new patterns so wait a week Have only got boys soakers in at the moment - again waiting for shipment. Jabulababy has a good stock at the moment - check her site - she may also have some bags you want. Babybots has stock of longies too.

This may sound horrible - but all I can smell is poo and am sure ernie has left a present somewhere - I just cant find it!!
