Octo - I had a 2 week old baby today - gorgeous!!!! And as of tomorrow will be clad in soft Pop'n'Gros.

Then tonight have converted a couple having twins - that's another 9000 nappies saved from landfill! And another 2 little bottoms in soft fluff. (Pop'n'Gros again, with the loan of my teeny tiny nappies til they fit)

I love my job!!!!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 27/01/2010 23:12

Sorry to hear that bagpuss Hope LO is OK. And hope you are OK too as I really it's just as hard on the parents.

Charlottes clan - would be really grateful of the Yoyos if we do get on with them, hopefully they will be here soon so we can give them a go.

Mumface - Did you know Jabula has BB training pants on offer? I did look at them but still at clearance they are still expensive. What is the main differences between the different training pants? The only ones i have ever even seen in RL are the bambino mio and bright bots, all of which don't look like they wouldn't do anything more than the normal pants/knickers would? I ideally want something that will work as good as a nappy for naps/trips out or even just to hold one or 2 wees? I honestly don't know much about training pants at all as we have never needed to so far. Although looking forward to knowing more about them with experience so I can advice others on them. All my cloth friends come to me for cloth advice and I quite like that. A friend with a DS the same age as E (DD1) asked me about training pants and I couldn't help her which was a shame. Did offer to lend my brightbots and BM though. lol

4 - When you do list the bedding could you point me in the right direction for it please? I am not sure if it will be any good for us but worth a look.

4 again - are you still into camping? I am starting to get obsessed really into it.

Off to read page 7 (had to post or I would forget who I needed to reply to! lol)

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 27/01/2010 23:17

Oh yes olives. So are they OK to give T? She is 9 months? How do I give them (embarrassed to admit I have never eaten one or even touched one )

Sal - my nephew is 2 weeks and only 5lb. So lovely to old a tiny baby and be able to hand it back! LOL

I still can't get my pop n grows to last even half hour without leaks. Starting to think I have dodgy ones? Although have read lots of other people not getting them to work. Which is why I won't add them to nappyweb.

jenny: Does T eat much solids? Clement eats everything in sight, just stuffs his face and can't wait for the next meal! So he quite happily has a slice of pizza in his hands and chews/eats a lot of it, including the olives I've sliced on top! So I find that's a good way to get them in him. Otherwise, you could cut one in quarters/slices and let her eat them as would finger foods. You could always rinse them off if the "solution" they're in is a bit strong. Sometimes Clement spits one out at first and then eats it the second time round! LOL I buy a jar of them in Lidl for only 59p, next to the green olives, which are near pickled gerkins (another thing my kids like).

treedelivery · 27/01/2010 23:38

I don't know is the honest answer [blsuh]

WE wash all the salty water off them, I bite them to squash them, and she wolfs them down. They then reappear a few days later looking pretty much the same, only smelling alot worse.

treedelivery · 27/01/2010 23:39

ooo I could really fancy some olive tapanade. Hmmm.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/01/2010 06:26

Just a quick shout to bagpuss to say good luck with DT2's op. thinking of you both and hoping it goes well.

what do you do with a baby having a measles reaction to the MMR. bumble has a hideous cough, snotty nose, blotchy itchy rash and temp and has been up half the night . I'm usually quite relaxed about illnesses, but he seems very poorly and I'm a wee bit owrried about him

4andnotout · 28/01/2010 07:22

Jenny- yes we still love camping, looking forward to the starts of the season. Infact we might be putting my tent up for my rainbows either tonight or next week so they can have an indoor camp night will point the way to the bedding, have hundreds of cot sheets, crib sheets, grobags and blankets that hav eonly been used for the fee months before we ended up co sleeping full time!

Going to look at a buggy today, iT's the same on ei was going to buy from mothercare but 2 months old and £65 cheaper!

Dd4 had a pop n gro on the other day for the first time in ages and it didn't leak even after 4 hours which was a first

OP posts:
JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 28/01/2010 07:45

Looks like I am going to have to go out and get some black olives today then! Not that I have any time free today

Rachel - T is the same with solids. She eats at least 4 meals a day, plus snacks, and has a bigger size portion that E who is 2, well actually they have the same portion, but T gobbles the lot and then eats everybodys left overs, where as E will hand anything she doesn't want to T!! Yet I had them weighed on Tues for the first time in ages and she has dropped down a lot on the percentile chart. HV said it was fine as its probably cause she is a lot more active, but she still doesn't even crawl yet. She is more interested in trying to walk and can pull herself up, but is still just sat on her bum most of the day. So not sure how that works with the weight.

Babybots · 28/01/2010 07:52

Morning all!

Daisy i have no advice except calpol, which i'm sure you've done already and ring doc's or NHS direct to check its ok. Hope hes ok.

4/Jenny- I also share the love of camping! Was my Childhood holiday dreams!! Took all the kids last year (dss, Dsd and DS) camping to Dorset to the camp I went to as a child, not sure who was more of a kid, me or them! It hadn't changed a bit. Cant wait till we can go again. Although I'm now in need of a tent! lol

Rachel - Thanks so much, i'll look in to the GK's. Not impressed about not being able to put the ittis on so I might also go and stalk nappy dashary!

Our pop n gro's ok but not my first choice, don't sell well here either.

Anyway Ds is trashing my kitchen, must go and sort him!

Byeee

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 28/01/2010 10:36

babybots - we have just got a tent. Its cheaper if you buy them before the camping season starts as there are lots of good offers on. We got a gelert horizon 6 for £75 delivered, used once from ebay with the canapy, which is usually £80 on its own. Pitched it at work the other day and its great! Got the footprint groundsheet through the post today off ebay although I wont bother gettting that out till we go or have a practise in the garden.

Daisy - I would ring gp or nhs direct just to be sure. Sorry I missed your post before.

mumface · 28/01/2010 10:43

Jenny, I don't like Bambino mio or Bright bots. Imse vimse and Blueberries will hold a couple of wees or a poo without leaking.

I have got a Swaddlebees AIO drying at the moment to try. They are a proper pull up nappy and look the biz, will let you know.
I saw Jabula's but wanted large and they only had 1 pair left n offer price is for 2.

Took Lewis for trial at nursery this morning and they are happy to take him in cloth pull ups, they are a couple of others not trained there yet, so I can relax a bit.

4andnotout · 28/01/2010 11:58

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 28/01/2010 12:03

Yay just had some fluffy post. Some nice pink longies for E and another large UDNN. Should sell my mediums really but I can never find all the right inserts to the right nappies And need to de them really as they went wrong last time so look awful. Have got some dye, just not enough nappies that need dying all the same colour!

bagpuss · 28/01/2010 12:34

Thanks for the well wishes everyone .

I have taken a photo of our new WNOS and added it to my profile for anyone that wants a look (it is right at the bottom).

treedelivery · 28/01/2010 13:09

Good luck today Bagpuss.

The poncho is here, and I'm cuddled in it as I type. Oh it's so so sos ososoosososossos sos so so so so soft. So soft. Can't wait to try H in it at the school run. DH home late tonight [working 12 hour days for overtime] but will get photo's asap. Did I mention how soft it is?

treedelivery · 28/01/2010 13:10

YOur twins look divine Bagpus. The nappies look fab

mumface · 28/01/2010 13:45

Have added some pictures on my profile of Lewis in Blueberry Pants and Connor in Itti Bitti Brite

treedelivery · 28/01/2010 14:00

Have read thread now I have calmed down after poncho arrival

Saw them on fb too - divine. That spotty is the best print of the lot I think.

Lewis is lovely. What a great fit those pants seem! Great news about the nursery too.

Hows little babyDaisy? Hope he's feeling better and you're not so worried.

Jenny - we camped last year, with dd1 [4] and dd2 [few months] It was grand. Small one room tent though. Had an even better time in th VW camper we hired. Oh if I win the lottery I am going to get the best camper ever ever.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/01/2010 14:13

bumble still not good. Managed to get his temp down with a combination of calpol and ibuprofen, but he is still not right. He has only managed about four half hour naps since 2.30am and looks awful. He has just been crying for nearly an hour, but is clam now, but I think that was the baby nurofen.

Need to hunt someone down to do the school run.

Am with my DH who whinged about having to take DS1 to school (meaning he gets into office later) and he hasn't even had the grace to call to see whether A) bumble is better or B) I'm still awake. Which, if he's called at 9.30 this morning, I wouldn't have been....bumble was in bed, but DD was running loose round the house

LackaDAISYcal · 28/01/2010 14:15

can't wait to see pics of poncho tree.

did you see the thread asking for advice on whether to put a red-headed DD into red and pink hand me downs or throw the hand me downs away and buy new!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 28/01/2010 14:34

Where is that thread daisy?

Poor bumble. Sounds like he needs to be seen by a GP TBH. Don't feel bad about falling asleep. I have done it too. I often work till 1am and then come home and have little sleep cause of one of the kids and then T gets up anytime from 5am. It is hard, so I feel your pain!

HAve just sat down for a chocolate break as I have just got the girls to sleep, then off to finish the housework. The girls are usually waking up by now, but made their nap as late as possible as FIL is coming at 7.30pm and he will want to see them - they usually go to bed at 7pm but hoping to keep them up.

Babybots · 28/01/2010 16:18

Phew what a day!

Mumface the pics are lovely, your boys are gorgeous... as is that nappy!

Daisy, I'd be annoyed too if dh did that poor bumble though i really hope he gets some sleep tonight!

Tree cant wait to see pics of Poncho, although i think i'll have to wait till i know DC3 is on the way as DS is very nearly too big for his close parent sling now and hmm....walking!

Jenny, hope chocolate break was good! I'm gonna try for mine in a min lol

Right best get off here as Ds is feeding the dog his raisins now! Grrrrr.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/01/2010 16:43
