I like the spotty one too.

treedelivery · 26/01/2010 20:55

I'm not actually that keen on any of them

I think I just love the colour of the plain ones.

4andnotout · 26/01/2010 20:59

I'd like the print but on minkee

I thought they were minki - so really they are like mini lala then.

treedelivery · 26/01/2010 22:19

Or a bambooty. They remind me of itti, only sewn in and no trifold.

Are you sure Scotia?????

mumface · 26/01/2010 22:21

No, they are nothing like a mini lala, not cotton outer,a soft nylon type fabric and it doesn't wick. Lasted as long as all my other Itti's without a prewash today.

treedelivery · 26/01/2010 22:28

Ooo I didn't compute you had one mumface. God I'm in the clouds.

Ooooo. Have you the spotty one then at anyone with any new fluff I haven't stroked.

mumface · 26/01/2010 22:39

Yes Tree, I won it from the Green Baby competition. Looks like I will need to wash it separate from any velcro though, as their is a tiny catch (feeling precious about it) in the fabric after washing with motherease wraps.

Scotia · 26/01/2010 22:40

am sure tree

sorry bf now so cant post more

treedelivery · 26/01/2010 22:55

Oh yes of course you did mumface. Gawd I'm a dolt. I had those nature babies wraps and they snagged like buggery. Have you got a tiny net wash bag you could wash it in? Leeeeetle precious [Lord of the rings incase anyone thinks I'm a loon]

Scotia - woo hooo!! Will get onto measuring up tomorrow.

Remmeber I got the yarn, and also a little wool wrap? Sadly little is the word. It is so lovely. I'd say it's 0-6 months. So so so so so so sweet. All these little buttons to get the fit. All lanolised and ready to wear

It fits her, just not her mahooosive nighttime fluff

WHo has a tiny newbie baby and wants a wooly wrap?
Although I do have a friend I could give it to, if I sell it I am just about rich enough for some flongies or upcycled longies

Scotia · 26/01/2010 23:30

I'm sure it would sell easily on CNT Tree, they love woolies on there.

Mumface, I like the sound of the bitti brites, but I love minkee and don't know how we'd get on with them. Would have loved to win one to try out though

4, I hope things are easily controlled for dp. Must be a worry for you both.

Hi to Octo, Myjob, Jenny, 50ft and everybody else

octothechildherder · 26/01/2010 23:32

ah munface has one - I missed that too!

Tree - snugglepants being posted from US tomorrow so even though it said mid feb, hopefully will be sooner.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 26/01/2010 23:36

oh pity about the wooly wrap being too small tree! When Clement was small I think I ended up with several wool items I bought that he couldn't fit into! I almost think one needs to buy too big stuff to get a good fit. Having said that, the 2 pairs of longies I bought him in the summer still fit him! They're just fab & stretchy and he's got soooooooooooooo much wear out of them. I'll be sad when he finally does outgrow them!

On the fluffy post front, I got my Clement's new (well, preloved - used twice) GK Minkytime in lovely retro spots (blue & brown). It's lovely & soooo soft being nearly new! Not sure I've ever paid this much for a preloved pocket nappy (without even an insert), but once you add on postage if bought new, it would have been a fair bit more. So I just had to nab it while I could, as I've been wanting this pattern for a while.

treedelivery · 26/01/2010 23:42

Stalker!!

Exciting stuff Octo!

Am going to see a friend this weekend. She had a little 6lb baby about 6 weeks ago. She has the lollipop fleece nappy set, with wraps.

She is having total leaks, full clothes chane ateverychange. I need to find out more, to see if it's the wrap and it's fit, or lack of absorbancy and needing boosting.

What shall I bring her to trial? I'm thinking he might have grown into a pop-in, they are pretty tidy. A BG?

Some bamboo or hemp to boost with? A fleece or a airflow wrap? Then at least she saves the pack she has bought and it is usefull.

I have a small fb too, that might fit him now.

octothechildherder · 27/01/2010 00:07

You will need to wait in for parcel today!

octothechildherder · 27/01/2010 00:08

has she prewashed them enough? Should be using the extra small covers. Shouldn't get leaks with them - pretty reliable. Sort her out Tree

4andnotout · 27/01/2010 08:49

Morning all,

Off to toddlers this morning! Hope your all Ok.
Sorry been rubbish recently Ds walking is keeping me very busy!

Rachel thanks for the advice about the thrush/ rash stuff i've had Ds in a bumg overnight with a wrap just incase and his skin does seem much better than a cotton nappy so i now need to find some more suede cloth lined nappies (not Bumg's - long story!) Any one got any ideas??

Jenny hope your getting somewhere with T's constipation.

Cant wait to hear poncho reviews!

Oooh and I have a Bambooty, lasts hours if I leave it, the fits great I am very impressed and love the cute little bag it comes in! might get some more!

Right must get a move on!

50ftQueenie · 27/01/2010 09:27

Scotia - The WNSS (Monster) I bought from you on CNT arrived yesterday and dd insisted on putting it on straight away! Thank you so much for the insert. I am trying pockets again as I didn't get on with them at first but am liking them now. It opens up a whole world of nappy possibilities!

It's my birthday in the middle of Feb and I was chatting to DS about it. He told me he know's what he is getting me and has to ask daddy to order it. He wants to get me this. Bless him. He knows me so well. I don't think it will fit me though.

Mumface - I am still unreasonably of your Bitti Bright. Myjob and I were discussing the possibility of ordering the new ltd eds from Oz but it worked out at about £20 a nappy including delivery. It seemed rather a lot. Shipping works out at around £4 per nappy. My custom AI2 from HL was a grand total of £29 including shipping.

4andnotout · 27/01/2010 10:53

50ft i shall be 28 on the 23rd of feb, i think i would like this afterall black is very slimming

Im debating selling off some of my csp as i have far too many and i don't seem to actually be having any periods

OP posts:
Scotia · 27/01/2010 11:30

50ft, glad the nappy has gone to a good home where it is loved as much as here I need to order some new ones for K now. I was gutted they just got that bit too tight on him.

Lol at you two wanting nappies for your birthdays. 4, K has that stars one, I must say it's lovely.

Babybots, it certainly does take up a lot of your time when they are walking - K is into EVERYTHING, but it is very cute

Indeed they are Myjob. Although the MiniLala didn't get much of a test today as within minutes dd had done a poo in it! She was playing then suddenly looked down, looked at me and went .

Babybots - Bambootys are GOOD aren't they? I've got a couple and they were too big for dd round the waist at first as she is quite skinny. But now they fit I love them, plus they are really slim fitting. I just wish there were more patterns.

4 - You're so young!!! I like the star nappy too. Very pretty.

treedelivery · 27/01/2010 12:59

4 - at your age! [btw I have a black pocket with big cherried on the bum if you want I can list it].

50 sensible husband you have there!

No post I'm at a playgroup tomorrow - 1st one since she was born. Now I don't have to sit with her while she sleeps. Yay! In time for my return to work. Boo!

why doesn't the thread send someone...lets say me....to Aus to bring home a big suitcase of nappies? And we won't pay customs as I can say they are dd's?

Good eh?
