Yay sold the kooshies! More space!

TBH I am going to use sposies now till we have moved anyway so dont really need to worry for a bit.

Have also spent ages sorting out my coolababys into a shoe holder type thing that now means its all displayed, with applix on one side and poppers on the other, sorted into colours, meaning I don't have to rumage though boxes everytime somebody asks me about ordering some more!

Places to sell cloth nappies that are non auction:
CNT
CNA
MN
UKPL
Real nappy yahoo group?

Is that all? I need to clear the rest of the nappies really!

Ooh an Issy bear nappy! Well done myjob

bagpuss · 08/03/2010 20:37

Yay! Didn't you want one of those myjob? I just looked and thought 'why don't I ever win these?' and then I remembered that I hadn't actually entered this week's competition .

4 hope you are feeling better soon . I can sympathise as I'm no stranger to 4 in the morning wake ups.

Babybots, thanks for answering my questions about the Itti AIOs - I'm still not sure about them but might try a couple to compare. DTs still not quite big enough for the mediums though so I'm hoping that you still have some stock when I come to order!

DT2 had appointment at hospital today. We don't now have to go back for 6 months and the consultant is very happy with the valve for the time being.

I hope you all had good weekends. I am busy pre-washing my WNNN at the moment. They have so far had three, will that be enough do you think?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/03/2010 21:12

myjob: yes, feeling very jealous! well done you! you'll have to tell us what it's like!

octothechildherder · 08/03/2010 22:07

Well doen myjob

JennyPenny22 · 08/03/2010 22:52

well done myjob!!

octo - we know we have to be out of this house by 27th but so far we have no where to go! lol. And the nappy crisis is still a LONG way from sorted!! Lol Although its sloooowlly getting smaller.

octothechildherder · 08/03/2010 23:09

ooh not long to go then - hope it goes smoothly

JennyPenny22 · 08/03/2010 23:47

Thanks. I have got some crates, so I can sort into size 1 fitteds, size 2 fitteds and then size 1 wraps and size 2 wraps etc so that I at least know where everything is and can start grouping together some bundles!

The coolababys are all sorted into colours etc so I can see what is left. And it looks fab! But they have to go!

We have found a house that we want, but will hopefully find out tomorrow if we will get it or not, and if it will be ready in time for us to move in straight from here!

Morning Busy working but not actually getting very far lol May be time for tea and biccies

JennyPenny22 · 09/03/2010 12:50

I have been sorting out and have got crates of each size/type etc and have just got so many that I just don't know what to do with them! They are all only worth less £1-5 each so it just takes SOOO long to do for such little return. But I don't think I could bear to freecycle them. I might list as a huge bundle and see if anybody wants it, if it could work out as say £1 per nappy. That is fine for big bundles I think. But really, I can't see myself finding a buyer in the next week!

Anybody used usednappes auctions? I am temoted to auction them off on there? But not very familiar with it! Does buyer pay postage on top of what they bid?

cheeksandcherries · 09/03/2010 19:33

Hi all

Jenny - I've used boosted flips too, with a GK hemp insert... was quite amazing actually.

bagpuss - hi there... thanks for yr kind words on site... lol re senile non-entering of Tushie Tuesdays! Think we will be doing another one soon, maybe with the Mini La Las... or maybe the CTs...

Myjob - congrats again, will get that pony one out to you soonest

Still not getting any sleep... all children ill or pretending to be ill at night time. Nightmare, and can't believe DH thinking no. 4 wld be good idea

I can only think of one reason why it would be, and I surely can't justify it for the nb fluff?

right, offski to do weekly shop... not the best time, really is it?

CandC the newborn fluff is lovely but only lasts a short while unless you are lucky enough to end up with tiny twins as your number 4 (and 5!) . Sleep deprivation has reached a new level in this house at the moment but worth it of course . Yes, a couple of CTs or mini la las would make a very good prize especially for those of us with more than one in cloth .

Jenny, fingers crossed for the lovely new house and well done for sorting the nappies out. I could never be a nappy retailer I don't think, mainly because I would want to keep every single thing that was for sale. I think I have a problem actually - can't seem to stop looking at nappies even though we don't really need anything until the dts grow a bit . I can't justify any of it of course.

Myjob, thanks, have done the prewashes now and they are still drying - how long do they take?

JennyPenny22 · 09/03/2010 22:18

bagpuss - the nappies that are left to sort are mostly preloved ones that were bought for my DDs when I got a bit obbsessed, before I started nappyweb . Most of them I haven't even used! I am in the middle of packing up my living room, I know I should go to bed but its just SO hard to get it done in the day with the DC around and I am CM tomorrow morning so need to make sure it is safe enough and reasonably tidy! Am just trying to stay out as much as I can with the kids, as its no fun for them being here with half our stuff all in boxes. Elouise keeps looking for certain toys that I know I have packed and I don't really know what to tell her! If she knew they were in the boxes she wouldn't understand why she couldn't get it out and would probably end up with tantrums!

Have hopefully got our house now. They have accepted our offer of the lower rent but they keep messing about with the dates we can move in and we might have to stay with my parents for a couple of weeks.

Have started packing all our cloth nappies to keep and have put the kids in sposies. They STINK the bin out totally! But I am catching up on washing and also getting them all together and packed properly, and for once, can actually find all the right inserts for all the right night nappies etc! So I am happy with it. So far I have a suitcase full of nappies to take with us, but have got lots to pack, and of course all the longies, pockets etc that I haven't even started on!

cheeksandcherries · 09/03/2010 22:21

bagpuss - lol.. thought you were being funny about DTs for nos 4 and 5.. then saw yr profile, and, no... it has actually happened to you! There have been some sets of twins in our family, but not v close relatives... my grandma had twin brothers, but not sure if that counts?
Seriously, I really don't think I could cope with the sleep deprivation. Although twins would be amazing, of course. And cute tiny nb fluff... one pink, one blue.. oh god, I'm off...
concentrating hard on mantra [must remember contraceptive pill in the am]

octothechildherder · 09/03/2010 22:54

noooooooooo lol - stop now - its sleep deprivation making you think new fluffy babies are cute .... it will end in more sleepness nights ((((would have more if didn't have to be pregnant )))) esp a girl - a girl would be lovely!

JennyPenny22 · 09/03/2010 23:21

octo - agree about the pregancy thing. Pregnancy didn't agree with me!

mumface · 09/03/2010 23:37

I hate being pregnant too. Was sick every day till labour with all 3!! Had ptyalism with Connor (excessive saliva production-gross) and worried excessively about mc every day after mmc with my first.
Fot the first year I say no more, then when they start walking I miss the tiny cuddly baby stage!
Would also love a pink one.

JennyPenny22 · 10/03/2010 00:04

mumface - I was sick all the way through too - its awful isn't it?!

I am looking after my nephew tomorrow night who is 2 months old but was a premmie so still very tiny. But although I love the baby cuddles - I like being able to give him back after the few hours. I love the tiny baby stage, but found I didn't get time to enjoy it with Talia as I spent so much time making sure Elouise didn't get jelous or miss out etc. And Elouise seem to have terrible 1's rather than terrible 2s so Talia just got passed to DH most of the time . Not any more though as she is only happy with Mummy cuddles! Can't believe she is one next month! Time goes too fast!
