Hi Jenny

Just send back the faulty BG - of course we will replace/refund immediately. Sorry it was one of ours... nightmare

Hi all waves .. I don't post much as I can't keep up, but I read as much as I can!

Octo - nice work on the Bespoke Baby Room!

We are having IT nightmares this week, and DS1 has tonsillitis... poor love is red as a beetroot and can't eat anything at all :-(
When will these illnesses end? Seems to have been non-stop for about 6 months...

bagpuss · 05/03/2010 19:26

Oh god, how brilliant is Octo's website now? I want want want it all! Seriously Octo, you are a very clever person for bringing together such a nice collection of stuff - will have to go back and have another browse in a minute (have had the site open all afternoon already ).

Cannot wait for my WNNN to come. Octo I was after some fleece soakers for over them but you are out of stock of the flowery ones in medium - when are you getting more please?

Haven't much else to say really. Have managed at least one day without buying anything nappy related .

Hope everyone else is well!

octothechildherder · 05/03/2010 20:26

Evening - wow that was an exhausting day lol

I'm glad you all like the new site - need to redo a few things like the techy side of things and check wording - spent most of the day going through every page hunting for the words NappyWardrobe to change lol lol - Babybots and my sister found a few I had missed lol My sister wrote a whole list of things to change lol

Bagpuss - Jabula has some PP soakers in stock in floral - my pumpkin pants shipment got lost ... all being remade

Have one more lovely goody to add on but am waiting for them to arrive.

Newsletter next .... there will be a new website offer - not sure what yet but you should all get it

Hi all
Haven't been in for ages so thought I'd stop by and say hi.
Am loving Octo's website. Those doughnut soaps smell divine by the way.
I've been v naughty and bought 2 nappies this week - weenotions side snap cat embroidered on turquoise, and one from the new Happy Lemur site - Hello Kitty

JennyPenny22 · 05/03/2010 22:44

cheeksandcherries, I will do then when it is washed. Sorry, just feel bad for you having the hassle of it!

Been looking at houses all day. On my own as Talia was too ill to come so DH had to stay home. SO now we both have to go tomorrow to look at our 2 fav ones. We have to be out of here by 27th!

cheeksandcherries · 05/03/2010 23:06

Jenny - really, no hassle... these things happen... just glad the sharp bit didn't do any damage!

CharlottesClan... Green Baby being v naughty to ask you to trek anywhere to return faulty goods that they distribute.... bldy cheek. Send them to me and I'll send you replacements and get the refund off them... honestly, they are awful. Especially since they got taken over by a venture capital firm... all about the £££ now.

Octo - have site envy xxx

NappyShedSal · 06/03/2010 08:29

Is it Bagpuss looking for PP soakers? I've got a Disco spots and a Hearts in medium.

No fluffly news to report here. Most of the time I'm really sad that I don't have a LO in nappies any more (honestly), but my washing machine broke down 4 weeks ago and it's still not fixed, so at the moment I'm mightily glad. Yesterday I went to the launderette with 6 loads of washing, but managed to get 3 loads into each of their big machines and it only took half an hour - great!

bagpuss · 06/03/2010 10:52

Yes Sal it was me. I wanted the dark floral one ideally. I need to check my measurements though as my WNNN have just arrived and are rather big!

Babybots, you said further down that the itti AIO are a bit better than the SIO in terms of crunchiness - how is the fit and absorbency in comparison? I need to think about replacing mine soon but have been generally unimpressed with the quality on the SIO but do like the fit and containment. Also the snapping and folding is annoying so might the AIO be better for us?

Cheeksandcherries, lol at site envy . I like yours too of course! Sorry to hear about your website probs - I was having difficulty in adding anything to my basket a while back but have just been and checked and it is working fine now . It is probably a good thing as I have spent far too much recently .

Octo, I am now waiting to see what the final thing is going to be on your website. I might need it! lol

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/03/2010 11:29

amazing - the 3 nappies I bought from someone on CNT over a month ago have arrived! [shocked] I tracked the lady down on facebook and she'd forgotten to post them, and apparently her email wasn't working - but she replied on fb and now I have the nappies! very pleased that I've not been scammed!

another GK Minkytimes in blue/brown retro spots (as in, we already have one of the same design! ) and 2 XL Fuzzibunz (orange & red) for Benjamin, though they look quite huge, so not sure if they'll fit him or not! Never had XL before, but just wondered how they'd fit, as only had larges before, which were quite good enough. But a fiver for the two FB together was tempting enough to try them - tho I had to wait a month for them to come!

I had 2 GKs come the other day, tho was sad to find the Cobalt Minkytimes elastic gone on the legs! Thankfully the seller was very kind and gave me a full refund straight away. So just need to try my skills at repairing elastic on pocket napies! Think GKs would be easier than BG which have the elastic encased in fabric. So must give it a go!

octothechildherder · 06/03/2010 13:01

Bagpuss - its on - see if you can find them!

bagpuss · 06/03/2010 14:35

Aww Octo those are nice but everyone I know is done having babies . Somebody buy me one please!

Yummybrummymummy · 06/03/2010 15:02

Hi, I haven't logged on to Mumsnet for a while but I have baby number three on the way and am once again thinking about cloth nappies. I used Wonderoos with my daughter (nearly 5 years ago) but she was a big wee er and so we didn't really get on with them. I would like to use cloth nappies this time so wondered what the latest products are like and if anyone had any recommendations.
Thanks.

octothechildherder · 06/03/2010 17:05

oooh so many to choose from! Would recommend ittis, fuzzibunz, bumgenius, some bamboo and softee two parters with decent motherease covers and a couple of nice weenotions nappies or holdens landing

Would love to be able to buy again but we are out of nappies here now!

octothechildherder · 06/03/2010 17:32

Also depends if you want all pretty ones or work horses!

Banned from laptop for rest fo weekend ...

salbysea · 06/03/2010 18:18

myjobismum that would be fab, thank you I'll see if I can track you down on CNT as dont think I can pm on here

and thanks to lackaDAISYcal and bagpus for the tips too

For the moment I am still pinning my hopes on the bamboozle stretch for my night nappy as it feels so lovely and I think it would be nice and comfy on him (I will of course turbo boost it!). It was washed yesterday and put on the airer but it is still quite wet, however I'm now thinking that as long as my day nappies are quick drying (so the airer is only up overnight once every 2 days) I can live with a few night nappies hanging on the towel warmer in the bathroom. D'ya think 4 would be enough?.At least that way I wont feel like I live in a nappy forest . I would also like to "make it work" with the bamboozle as I like the fact its made in the UK.

Thanks again to everyone on this thread for all your help, I am glad I persevered with cloth as I am loving it now! I just wish all my nappies were all clean and dry at the same time so I could make a big nappy rainbow to take a pic of them all

Babybots · 06/03/2010 19:10

Evening all!

See Jenny, told you C&C would sort out your Bumg it's all part ofd the service!

Hope everyone is ok, My Ds is really ill now with a nasty tummy bug am just waiting for me and Dh to get it (fingers and toes crossed)

Who asked about Itti AIO's? sorry read it really quick. They are a little [tiny bit] bulkier but more stretchy around the waist compared to the SIO. Im really pleased with them to be honest, I use mine all the time and the poor old crunchy snap in is redundent and really good if you are lazy no stuffing, snapping or faffing about with them. Green baby are being naughty! I'd post it back and demand refund for postage. Or take C&C up on her offer, I've done it for loads of ppl too. Cheeky people!

Anyway ive got a hot bath waiting for me! I've got poor DH working on our site too lol

Oh well done Octo, Sites fab and i can vote for all the fab new products i've seen the Bundled stuff - ABFAB!! Want some and eyeing up soaps... must go raid Octos house again soon

BBL

CharlottesClan · 06/03/2010 22:18

oh c&c thanks that would be great it you could, what a kind offer!
will email you thru ur site tomorrow, am dealing with screaming teething baby here atm.

will catch up tomorrow guys x

LackaDAISYcal · 07/03/2010 00:31

helllloooo all; busy busy here so not much posting time.

Hi to yummybrummymummy and congrats on No3 . I have three and it's very noisy and hectic, but brilliant as well. I would say go for some two parters to start off(tots, lollipop, bimbles and tots or ME Rikki wraps), with a spattering of pockets for convenience (loving bumgenius V3 here at the minute) and then when moving onto second size, pockets all the way, with some lovely two parters for night as suggested by the hardcore clothies here!

Octo, loving the new site; pics are fabulous and those soaps are just too good to believe; definately would need to be hidden from DC though!!!

I am totally oblivious to things like weenotions, goodmamas, etc etc. And for the sake of my bank balance, am happy to remain so; even though more than slightly curious!!

Rach, you have quite a stash of Greenkids don't you? I have some GAD hemp inserts somewhere that I never use. Definately have on, but may have two. In the interests of decluttering our house, would you be interested?

JennyPenny22 · 07/03/2010 01:11

I might be mad even thinking this and I can't believe I am even saying it BUT I found some Kooshies ultras AIOs today in the loft when sorting out. I was going to list the lot for sale when I noticed that they have a pocket for boosting. And now I am starting to wonder, if I put some good boosters in the pocket, if they would last Elouise for night time. She goes on the potty before bed and first thing so her night nappy isn't really even that wet in the morning so seems silly using the UDNN for her all the time when I hate washing them and finding all the right inserts as Talia has mediums too and they always get mixed up. Anyway, am I mad even thinkng it? I have plenty of hemp inserts I could use and it would be in a cotton pocket. Have been thinking for a while I could do with some AIO night nappies for her for when she isn't in longies. when she was ill last week and I wanted to stay clear of wool she hated having a wrap on. She kept saying "my nappy too big" as it was really bulky!! It was OK when she was a heavy night wetter but now she really isn't so it seems pointless to have so many night nappies.

BUT I just bought sposies so wasn't going to use cloth till we move as with all the sickness bugs in this house at the moment the washing is geting silly. I can't keep up with it. SO can't test them as night nappies really so then don't know if they are worth keeping?

I KNOW they are awful nappies realy but as she isn't weeing much I thought they may be OK? cheap and cheerful solution that I have plenty of.

mumface · 07/03/2010 09:18

Jenny- I think they would work boosted if you put some wool over the top. Not sure I would risk without you will probably end up with a ton of bedsheets to wash, but if she is a very light wetter you never know.

Got my first puddlekins nappy and wipes yesterday (ordered 12 wipes and she put in 13 ) is very nice, looks big so will last and inside is a kind of brushed bamboo fleece, unlike any nappy I have tried so looks very comfy.

octothechildherder · 07/03/2010 12:18

Morning - have sent out a newsletter today - if you didn't get one let me know!

Beautiful day here - am just putting the roast on Lovely!

JennyPenny22 · 07/03/2010 14:17

I think I have come to my sences and will put on the forsale board. lol. When I looked closely they weren't as good of condition as I thought, at a first look they looked almost new but actually they are quite worn.

mumface · 07/03/2010 21:46

How about boosted flips Jenny, I have used them a couple of times overnight with 2 extra hemp and they held up well.
