News - Rubbish at no primark, it really is good, dont mind the food stains on clothes when they are that cheap.

DH has been hinting at a PS3, even listed his Xbox on Ebay!! PS3 my ass, the sale of the Xbox can fund some more fluff

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 20:54

Skimble - I did have ad an (am also a Lollipop advisor) but it has just run out Trying to decide whether to take one out for NappyWardrobe - but even if you do you're not meant to sell in threads but refer to your ad - a bit odd but that is how they run it. Its weird because sometimes I get deleted for no obvious reason and other times its fine - MN have made it clear that we are not to buy and sell on this thread! ((( everyone shifts uncomfortably)))) I try not to spam any threads as that is when people complain. I think we should support people setting up new businesses and esp mums on here. I've noticed babybots blatantly advertising coolababy but it doesn't bother me - its not something I would report.

Can you tell us what your new business will be?

I bought the black skinny jeans - they were upstairs near the lift. I already have one pair - they are fab and really comfy.

Street party fab - music now on - am waiting for ds3 to go to sleep so can pop back out.

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 21:02

SkimbleMcSkimble · 23/08/2009 21:07

Octo - Thinking about producing Excel and MS office solutions for small business's to help them with accounting etc.

I work as a developer at the moment and was hoping to start doing it from home as I have noticed that during the current recession more and more small WAH type sort of business's are cropping up and this may be the sort of thing that they are interested in. (hoping at least).

My next steps are to think about what i can charge for this sort of thing and if there really is a market for it.

Wasnt really that sure how it worked on this site being new and all, alot of them make it quite clear that unless you pay or only post in one certain thread then you can say nothing and some its just a complete no no regardless, yet I couldnt find anything here that made it clear, but now I am wiser (everyday is a school day!!)

I bought the blue jeans from downstairs, couldnt find any non patent black pumps in my size to go with them though, this will mean another trip out there though

Glad the street party is going well, glad its not raining

twoclimbingboys · 23/08/2009 21:08

mumface - i'm not sure to be honest. I only have experience of the toddler size Holden's Landings. You could be best to ask that question on cloth nappy tree.

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 21:12

I need your accounting package thingy!

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 21:19

I have news.

I have ordered my monkeyfoot bags. A large pink sparrows and a medium white lava.

As you were.

4andnotout · 23/08/2009 21:30

Hello again, have wrestled the lappy from dp as trying to post from my iphone is laborious!

I have just bought a wnos red textured minkee outer with skull and crossbones, white textured minkee inner hence selling the bbos so i can keep it's insert to use in the wnos!

Tree it's such a hard decision isn't it, i could have bought loads of those bags but dp may have killed me!

Have had a really lovely day today with my grandparents and aunt and uncle and have arranged to go and stay with them next weekend, hopefully it will be nice weather and we can go to the seaside with the kids!

SkimbleMcSkimble · 23/08/2009 21:33

Octo - what sort of thing would you like it to do, will see what I can throw together, if it proves to difficult for me then maybe I will have to think again (used to building bespoke reporting tools to a system design document).

Gonna have to learn how to build a website as well

News - Go you , I cant justify to DH he thinks that because I spent a fortune on a changing bag that, that should be all I need in the way of bags foolish man!!

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 21:35

I have been scheming it for ages though, I think Octo must be fair mithired with me!

Still have more to get, I want an owl one, and a boho. So going for full set I guess!

SkimbleMcSkimble · 23/08/2009 21:51

Right I need to get some sleep before DS3 decides its time to get up.

Then it will be time for work not long after, til tomorrow when I have nothing else to do and can spend some time on here being paid to do so.

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 22:00

Skimble - I would like to it collect up all my postage receipts, my invoices, sales receipts, paypal payments, ebay charges and petrol receipts from various parts of my house, arrange them somehow into order, work it all out and then look after it all for me! I also have my Lollipop stuff, baby show stuff and training to include ... I think really I need to sit down for a day and sort through it all. I did really well at the beginning - wrote everything down but have let it slip I def need some kind of accounting package that is easy to update and links to my website! Not much to ask??!! I also need to stock take!

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 22:01

Thanks Tree

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 22:02

Where do you keep your stock Octo??

Am imagining a house with nappies and bags in every corner.....Oh thats mine.

4andnotout · 23/08/2009 22:05

I would love to rifle through Octo's house, is it fluffy heaven??

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 22:11

No it is much more scary! I have about 30 nappies of my own - obviously in nappywardrobe in ds3's room - then in his cupboard there are about 200 nappies, 50 covers, liners, wipes - all my nappy stock etc, then in my dining room are the bags, a filing cabinet etc and then in the garage I store 8 trial kits when all in - so about 200 nappies, 8 buckets ... etc My car then has my advisor kit in and another two boxes of covers, liners, wipes, babylegs, bags, sanitiser .... It is a veritable nappy fest here! It is like your aladin's cave

Need to think where to put the 200 bags and covers that are on order!

I do need a proper storage area with office rather than stuffing it into various places in my home! But way too expensive to rent. Have thought about emptying stuff out of garage or getting proper shelves put in - but we sometimes get mice in the winter and they would eat fluffy nappies quite happily!

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 22:12

Fluffy Heaven - good name for JennyPenny's website!

Octothechildherder · 23/08/2009 22:13

Off to bed now!

swampster · 23/08/2009 22:16

You need a nappycat, Octo.

Mumface, DS3 is about 15lb in M/L Bedbugs. They are reassuringly huge but he could, quite comfortably, have started wearing them earlier.

Tree!

rusmum · 23/08/2009 22:20

disasa question- worn once and bloody stinks??????

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 22:22

Oh my Octo!! Wow. How do you stop yourself using them all!!!!

lol at nappycat.

swampster · 23/08/2009 22:23

Only 30 nappies, Octo, VERY restrained.

Hope it is just your Disana, rus, I've got one on the way!

newspaperdelivery · 23/08/2009 22:23
