Just took Elouises coolababy pocket off. After 3 hours it was still dry at the back with just the MF insert that came with it! Talias leaked after 2 hours though but she wees more than Elouise. Both in wash as we speak so can try again tomorrow - Might use a booster in Talias to see if that will make it gape at the leags or anything.

Hi all

Rus - fab stash! I got my Hollow Oak 2 parter and that is def an exciting wrap!! Maybe you should stalk some of those if you want a slach of colour?

Great news about the coola nappies, if they work like fb do they will be brill. I am totally loving fb at the mo, dd never has a damp bum. Their fleece lining is just right imo.

The Holdens Landing nappy I got is a bit thread bare , but the whole lot was only £16 [that nappy, the Hollow Oak nappy and wrap] so certainly won't be complaining. I'm just not sure its a good example to measure them against you know?

Magnoballs work by the magnets converting the limscale chemical in the water into crystals so they don't settle on clothes or pipes but get rinsed away. I've noticed an improvement

Off to stalk look at nappywardrobe

SpentPennies for Jenny's website? Or SpentPennies and Poo

JennyPenny22 · 22/08/2009 13:45

Didn't realise you used magno balls tree. Good to know you have noticed an improvement!

Elouise is wearing the pop n grow now and its very nice! Dont think it would fit under trousers but nor do alot of my reliable nappies.

The outside of my pop and grow is actully pretty wet - I just hadnt realised . Hopefully a few more washes should sort it out.

Octothechildherder · 22/08/2009 16:32

Hi Jenny - they do need about 6 washes !

JennyPenny22 · 22/08/2009 20:34

Yes I thought so - just me being impatient! lol.

Going to have to sell loads of stuff to make money for my stock. If anybody is looking for anything, please let me know and I will have a look through my for sale box!

I am thinking about selling most of my woolies . Most of them don't even fit right and we only really need 2 things for night time really. Bit of a shame as some of the bits are lovely but just arn't getting used. And I recokon if I sell the entire stash I will have £50-100. And I have a PDA and some kids books that I can sell. AND I have finally had some interest in my birthing pool. All extra funds to go towards it!

newspaperdelivery · 22/08/2009 20:51

Me!! Me! Just thinking today I need more wool H is 7 months and wears mahhooosive nighttime nappies. I dont seem to get soaker types, so prefer shorties and longies if you have any.

twoclimbingboys · 22/08/2009 21:24

Jenny - I am after large or toddler sized stacinator wool wraps! (on the very off chance you have any of those I would definitely want them pls!)

newspaperdelivery · 22/08/2009 21:27

2cb - so wraps. Do you put pj's over them? Abd do the pk's get a bit damp?

twoclimbingboys · 22/08/2009 21:43

tree - I have a wool couche cover and he wears pj's over them. The pj's have never felt wet. They don't with flece wraps either and Toby often even wears fleece wraps under those skin tight / legging style pj's from gap (I got a couple of pairs really cheap in the january sales)! As they are so tight I expected wicking when he first wore them, but we haven't had any so far in the months he has been wearing them (touch wood!).

I haven't got a stacinator wool yet - they are supposed to be thin so I would use those of a day with clothes over.

newspaperdelivery · 22/08/2009 21:44

Ooo maybe something new to try then

4andnotout · 22/08/2009 22:08

Evening my lovelies

Had a fantastic day at the beach, it was a scorcher! Now sitting drinking a beer and watching Jimmy Carr, bliss!

Going to go and buy dd3 some knickers tommorow as she is starting to ask for wee's and it's obvious when she is trying to poo.

Totally skint now so no nappy buying for me (until thursday )

JennyPenny22 · 22/08/2009 23:00

2CB - I do have at least one "large" wool stacinator but TBH it is VERY small for a large. Doesn't fit ELouise who is 20 months and in large nappies. Can't remember how young your youngest is but I just wanted to warn you that they might be too small. I have no idea if it was meant to be this small or if the owner before me shrunk it. I have never used it myself yet.

Tree - I think the only longies and shorties I will be selling are large. Elouise has very short legs so they are all too long for her! I think when it gets to winter I might get her a custom pair but she can't wear any of these in the day as they are too young. Have used them turned up for nights though.

Well, give us the measurements when you have sorted them Jenny. She is in mahoosive nappies like I say

TheNatty - I only have a sling carrier, that I am about to put on the board. But its not a wrap on. Sorry! It is lovely for carrying a bubba sat up, but I just got a Kozy sling and I heart it so much I don't need 2.

JennyPenny22 · 22/08/2009 23:41

Anybody know if it is possible to measure wool with a regid tape measure? Lol. I can't find my normal one and only have one from the tool box! lol

JennyPenny22 · 22/08/2009 23:51

Although - I still haven't found my camera! ARGH! I can borrow one but we are out all day tomorrow.

purplesal · 23/08/2009 07:37

TheNatty - I have a Close Carrier in red. It has only been used with a baby inside it twice! I had it as a demo one and have worn it with a doll inside and it is so comfy. I lent it to a customer - they loved it after only 2 days and ordered one straight away. But I'm concentrating on selling nappies now so everything else has got to go.

SkimbleMcSkimble · 23/08/2009 07:43

Morning Everyone,

Had a bitch of a day yesterday, waste pipes in bathroom got blocked and DH thought he would be all clever and fix it. Ended up ripping majority of the pipes out which still never fixed it, so after all day and new pipes it was still blocked. Final resort which should have been first - Mr Muscle did the job after a couple of hours bloody men .

Hopefully he will be taking me shopping to make up for me being in all day yesterday, whats everyone else upto ?

clare888 · 23/08/2009 08:02

Hi, This is my first post here! Have been lurking for a while and dreaming of lots of pretty nappies!

I'm using mainly bumgenius at the moment. Have tried coolababy and thought they were good to start with but found they have become rubbish over a few months use - oh well, you get what you pay for hey? And great excuse for buying some lovely fluff.

I'm looking at getting some blueberries at the moment and have found a good deal on jabulanappies.co.uk - 2 for 38.99 - that's quite good right? They seem to be at the 20+ mark in most places. Has anyone used this website, I hadn't heard of it before...

twoclimbingboys · 23/08/2009 09:24

Hello Clare - lots of people off cnt have used jabula to get dunk n fluff etc. It is supposed to be good.

Thanks for the response jenny re stacinator. The fleece wraps are small sizes too tbh. The large used to fit over an old style WNNN, but had no chance over a new style one with them being that bit higher in the rise. Would you mind measuring it for me please? If you have any others I would be interested in those too!

JennyPenny22 · 23/08/2009 09:28

Clare - Welcome to the thread! I would be really grateful if you could tell me more about whats happened to your coolababys. I am thinking of selling them on my new site but not if they are rubbish. I have generally seen good reviews on them.

Blueberrys are very expensive brand new. I think the only way of getting a bagain with them is to buy preloved.

JennyPenny22 · 23/08/2009 09:32

We are off to a christening today but hopefully we will be back in time to sort through woolies and nappies!

Will list what I have on the for sale board to comply with the rules but will link to it on here.

clare888 · 23/08/2009 09:33

Thanks for the welcome!

I will have a look at the second hand blueberries, thanks. I want some more velcro though as hubby and granny prefer it, and am bit concerned about buying velcro ones second hand as it tends to wear out.

My coolababys just started to wick, don't know why, just seemed they either couldn't cope with my son's heavier wetting, or they have degraded, not sure. They were v cheap though and I got a few months out of them (so still cheaper than a disposable!)

mumface · 23/08/2009 09:41

Hi Clare I would defnately go for blueberries with poppers rather than aplix if I bought any more I have both & the Aplix starts to look tatty after a few weeks. That does sound like a good deal. Have u tried itti bitti's?.I am fast becoming addicted to them. They are my fave.
