tree
Have you heard about faulty Itti Bitti yet? I am sending mine back to plush pants, who are sending me a replacement. They also have not had it happen before, however I have had another one go funny now, small lime one from twinkle!
Has it put you off them? or are we in a minority. I was planning on getting one in every colour in medium as I loved them so much.

mumface · 01/08/2009 19:54

Sorry, Not plushpants, Fill your pants...

treedelivery · 01/08/2009 19:56

No news of mine yet

I hope I get a replacement too, although I can see why GreenBaby didn't give me a straight replacement as I had no proof of purchase. Bugger.
We can't be the only two in the UK - there must be a fault in a batch. Odd stuff!

Scotia · 01/08/2009 20:11

I'v e got something wrong with my peppermint one too - same colour as your faulty ones?

treedelivery · 01/08/2009 20:18

Mine was peppermint.

mum's was pink or lime I think?

JennyPenny22 · 01/08/2009 20:39

Tree - why not get a pack of green dylon. That way you can turn some of the plain nappies into some green ones! I don't have any green either. Going to get green next time I buy dye but I still have a couple of packs of purples left. I have lots of pinks/fusia, blue, yellow, purple, lilac.

Rusmum - I would like the NB wraps if that is OK but I have run out of paypal for now - is there any chance you could hold onto them for me and I will try and sell a few more bits to cover them? Or are you open to a swap at all? Anything you need?

Anybody need anything? LOL I am having withdrawal symptoms from having PP!

JennyPenny22 · 01/08/2009 20:51

This is the link to where you can vote here Its for cloth nappy reviews. Thank you sooooo much to those of you who voted for me, thats really nice of you! I would be sooo please to win! LOl. Its for a pop and grow which I have been dying to try as I was going to buy one but as they are not around preloved yet I was wary of buying brand new when I haven't tried one!
I then would have to review the pop and grow which would be fine. I am ahead at the moment vote wise but it is open for 5 days so anything could happen!

twoclimbingboys · 01/08/2009 20:55

jenny - fc you win. I voted for you earlier this afternoon!

tree - I love that skirtie

mumface · 01/08/2009 20:58

Mine are peppermint & lime

twoclimbingboys · 01/08/2009 21:00

I am considering selling a large side snap triple cut UD wrap with beach scene - £10.50 posted! Shown here and here I loved it but its hardly been used since his personalised one arrived!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/08/2009 21:12

anyone wanting my UDOS minkee (gelato slush/red & orange) pocket nappy?? It's still sitting here looking for a new home! 8 quid incl post! Might even swap it for something - just needs someone else to wear it, as not using pockets here at all!

treedelivery · 01/08/2009 21:56

Right. Am going to have to do some selling of baby stuff to get funds.

Will get my ambynest on the market I think. That skirtie was a treat too far!

swampfire · 01/08/2009 22:16

I WANT IT, RACH! But i am at the outlaws mn ing on on my phone and not sure if i have anything cool to swap...

JennyPenny22 · 01/08/2009 22:24

I have a FLEECE skirty on the way! Got access to the for sale boards on CNA and I think it is going to be lethal! Although its not as busy on there as the classfieds on CNT. I guess because it has restricted access it puts people off.

BIG THANK YOU to Tree, 2CB and Rachel for voting for me

Tree - for skirtie

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/08/2009 22:45

swamp: you have to sneak onto MN on your phone, even when away from home??! A true MN addict! LOL

TheNatty · 01/08/2009 23:14

voted for you jen

i had an accident with my disana this morning, shrunk it to buggery..
in my sleep deprived state i put the machine onto wool wash not hand wash, they are practically barbie sized now

off to order more.. dh will kill me but hey! (tho this time i promise to handwash )

i cant wait for my WN wraps.. the preloved one i got fits wonderfully.

OP posts:
thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/08/2009 23:21

oops for woolies, natty! I use the machine wash wool and not had any problems (think it's a 30 degree wash) - but maybe your machine is different, or spins faster for that cycle.

JennyPenny22 · 01/08/2009 23:22

Thanks Natty

I was dreading handwashing the first time I got woolies, but evetually found it easier than machine washing as you can use wool wash that contains lanolin where as if you do it in the machine you need to lanolise serperatly.
And remember - you only need to wash them every couple of weeks. Or when they start to smell even AFTER airing.

Did you get on OK with the wool wraps I sent you?

TheNatty · 01/08/2009 23:29

ah yes jenny they did stink.
do you remember i said some of the nappies i got had to be stripped the other day? well one of them is being stubborn and clinging onto the smell, i forgot which one it was and put it on over night. opps!

anyone have any ideas as to how i can get the smell out? its a powder build up amonia smell, have tried rinsing and rinsing till no bubbles with no luck. my MEOS were the same (preloved) and i had to 90deg wash them in the end. its a tots bots, somehow i dont think it will come back out in one piece...

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/08/2009 23:54

natty: do you have hard or soft water? At the moment I'm using soap flakes for everything and very impressed! I'm mixing up my own clothes detergent with:

2 cups soap flakes
1 cup borax
1 cup bicarb of soda
1 cup washing soda

mix it all up and just put 2 tablespoons in the detergent drawer! I did some strip washes by doing the 2 tbs with a 60 degree wash twice in a row, and then a 3rd wash cycle with no detergent (soap) at all. It rinses out very well. And I'm very pleased with how clean the nappies (and all our clothes!) are coming. And colours are sooo bright, it's amazing! We do have soft water though, so not sure how it would work with hard water areas. But very cheap and they come out smelling very fresh & clean! I'm even using soap flakes to make washing up liquid (or gel! LOL) and an all purpose cleaning solution with tea tree oil!

TheNatty · 02/08/2009 00:03

hard water unfortuantly. ive heard soda crystals help soften the water tho, and those magnoball things.

i might try washing them twice then once with no powder tho. could try a different powder too maybe
was also going to try soaking in nappy sanitiser.

mumface · 02/08/2009 08:31

I've noticed my cheap wilko floral disinfectant says you can soak nappies in it.
Probably wouldn't do them much good regularly but would get rid of any smells. I use it to wash out my nappy buckets.Smells good for ages it's about 50p a bottle.
