Actually, just realised I will need to prewash the inserts before I used them! Opps! Maybe I won't try them today! Will wash today nand try tomorrow or whenever they dry!

And my UDOS is pink BTW.

And I got my pink itti through yesterday! I can see how people love them as its so soft. Only lasted about 2-3 hours on Talia but might be a fit problem, it did look a good fit, but it was medium so maybe it will be better in a couple of weeks - she is quite chubby though!

JennyPenny22 · 19/06/2009 14:40

SORRY its me again

TCB - I would like one of your wraps! Just trying to decide which one! LOL. I know you have boys so they are not likly to be girly but which would you say is more suitable for a girl? Are they all a similar size? Tots bots size 2 fleece just about fit Elouise, but she needs something a bit bigger really.

Have gone onto fleece now. Talias size 0 tots is too small though so need to sell it really. Dont think I am going to bother with size 1, unless I see some cheap as she already fits the size 2 (even though they are very high in the rise on her but don't mind that).

Octothechildherder · 19/06/2009 15:04

Jenny - have you put a booster in the lollipop bamboo nappies? They should last longer than 2-3 hours - glad to hear they fit well tho! The most bombproof wrap is a motherease rikki. Have you received the onelife one yet?

I have bought a UD soy nappy - shocker at £19.50 for one - haven't told dh - in the name of nappy testing it is deemed acceptable

Clwt Twt have been around for quite a while - haven't heard their name for ages though.

Re doctors - when my middle ds had a bad rash he told us to keep him in cloth. Disps def hotter ime. Metanium is fantastic!

£19.50 - what one did you buy? Lol

Haven't put a booster in as I thought it would make it gape a bit at the legs where it would be bulky? I have tried using an EP hemp in between the nappy and wrap, which does work, but I don't really want to have to do that each time TBH and it makes it quite bulky and fiddly. Although I guess better than leaks! Maybe when my soy inserts are prewashed, I can fit one of those inside as they are thinner than the EP hemps and sized so probably be a better fit.

JennyPenny22 · 19/06/2009 16:25

Octo - yes I got the wrap, Thank you so much (I did let you know I had got it at the start of page 3 - but I was also talking about other things so you might have missed it!). I hadn't realised Onelife did patterned wraps - its very nice! Thanks a lot! Fits Elouise perfectly!

twoclimbingboys · 19/06/2009 19:02

octo - £19.50! wow. what is it like? One of the painted ones?

Jenny - the tots fleece wraps are rainbow stripe so suitable for a girl. The Wee Notions one is too girly for Blake really (purple binding), that is a large so imo a bit bigger than a size 2 tots, but not as large as a tots size 3.

JennyPenny22 · 19/06/2009 19:42

How much were you asking again? Sorry I forgot!

We have had drama here! There has been a gas explosion at the end of the road, we are all blocked in as the roads are closed and a few people have died . We are all fine obviously but the people who worked there are not AND it means I couldn't get to the dentist so still in agony with my stupid teeth!

treedelivery · 19/06/2009 19:44

Blimey! Thank God you and yours are ok Jenny.

twoclimbingboys · 19/06/2009 19:48

Jenny - thats awful.

a few rainbow stripe tots fleece wraps (size 3) - £4.50 each posted
large Wee Notions aqua fleece wrap with purple binding - £5.50 posted
toddler stacinator fleece wraps (1 blue/ green and the other turquoise with yellow moons & stars) - £5 each posted

50p off each item for multiple purchases! Also, have a little lambs pul wrap (worn once) I would throw in free with any of the above. An unopened pack of 3 nippas I could thrown in for £2 too.

Octothechildherder · 19/06/2009 20:16

Jenny - thank goodness you are okay - poor people tho

I have no idea what it is - was large and soy!

JennyPenny22 · 19/06/2009 21:10

I think you must have added embordery to it as even my large night nappy, with the extra booster etc was only £15.

Have been told that one poor person has lost his legs in the explosion, and at least 2 have died. There were air ambulences and everything. They only just seem to be opening the road now - several hours after it happened. It is about 100yds max from my house .

TCB - Did you ever recieve the books OK by the way? Were they ok for you?

STill thinking about the wraps!

twoclimbingboys · 19/06/2009 21:18

So sorry jenny I should have let you know. They arrived ages ago, but I worked six 11-hour days in a row and was all disorganised and knackered, so forgot to tell you. They are fab. Toby especially loves 'shark in the park'!

rusmum · 19/06/2009 21:23

what do we know about eco bumbles?

4andnotout · 19/06/2009 21:31

Evening all

Was i dreaming or did someone need some bamboo boosters? If so i found some they can have ffp (£1.20 i think) 2 cream,1 green, they are stained but are good boosters.

Sold one of my udos today so just need to shift the other two, i do have one i love and that fits far better than the other, it seems to be a smaller cut in the rear

Jenny-Thank god you and your family are ok

OP posts:
JennyPenny22 · 19/06/2009 21:50

TCB - Thats OK. I never remember to tell people when the stuff arrives! Just remembered about them today and wanted to double check they were ok!

If it is OK with you, I would like the WN wrap, one of the Tots size 3s, the LL wrap and the Nippas. Is that OK? Only thing is, I only have £5 in PP at the moment. I can either Pay now using my credit card (but it won't be able to be gifted because I don't have the money in the account) OR Pay when I have sold another couple of things? I don't mind either way, or if neither of those are any good to you, I could just leave it and just see if you still have it when I have got the money in PP?

twoclimbingboys · 19/06/2009 22:07

jenny - honestly either way is fine with me, whichever you prefer to do. My paypal e-mail is vikki_higham at yahoo dot co dot uk

JennyPenny22 · 19/06/2009 22:28

Ok, I am chatting with a few people about stuff I have for sale, so hoping by tomorrow I will have sold some bits!

twoclimbingboys · 19/06/2009 22:33

no rush!

I spent a soul destroying evening listing outgrwon clothes on ebay yesterday. I think I might spalsh out on a WN AI2 in lagoon minkee gelato. But they are so expensive I have actually managed to resist so far.

rusmum · 19/06/2009 23:06

rusmum · 19/06/2009 23:10

BaronConker · 20/06/2009 10:17

Hi everyone, I am a newbie on here, have been using cloth nappies for 6+ years but never been on a chat site before! Been lurking for a little while (v naughty) but decided I'd like to join the fun... Has everyone else been on here for ages or do you get new people from time to time?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 20/06/2009 10:28

welcome BaronConker! Glad you've come to join the fun! We all love nappies here! Not sure how long I've been on the nappy thread here (prob since it was created! lol) but been on Mumsnet for a couple of years now. Quite a few of us have been here a while, but we're always getting new people popping on - and some stay for a while too, which is always lovely!

jenny: Do you still have your XS Sandy's? I have a friend (here local) who is thinking about getting some, and I remembered you were selling some. So thought I'd ask. Also, do you still have some Lollipop microfibre ones you were trying to sell?

Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday! x

4andnotout · 20/06/2009 11:26

Hi Baron, i have been on this chat thread for about 18 months i think, and have been a mumsnetter for a few years. Have been using cloth for the last 7 years with only a few months off between dd1 & dd2, then dd2 & dd3. I now have two in cloth which is lovely as i can indulge my passion!

It's really miserable here today, can't go anywhere as dad and dp are fixing a towbar to our car, so i shall just end up browsing nappy sites!

OP posts:
JennyPenny22 · 20/06/2009 11:54

Rachel yes! I have just listed both in the for sale section this morning! The XS sandys are quite well used now but still perfectly functionable and no particular stains (some have gone a bit off an off white colour all over but no poo stains or anything iyswim. Some of them are in quite good condition though, as I got them all from different people online so will vary a bit. I do have some blue dye that I was going to use soon - I could dye them blue if she liked so they looked nice? Guess it depends on what she is having! They worked fine on Talia though, never ever leaked a poo and some were pretty explosive! Lol. Have put quite a few bits for sale in the for sale section if you wanted to have a look for her?

Rusmum - sorry I have no idea about eco bumbles as I have never had one!

Welcome BaronConker! There are often newbies here so don't worry. I have probably only been on here 6 months or so (maybe more - time flies so quickly!). I have 2 in cloth (8 weeks and 18months) But have been using cloth for 18 months (did have a short spell of using sposies at one stage ).

saggyoldclothcat · 20/06/2009 12:45

Hi BaronConker and welcome! I'm fairly new on here too, but a cloth user for 5+ years and have been a Lollipop advisor for about 2 years.

It's miserable here too 4 . But as you say, great excuse to trawl the nappy sites!
