twoclimbingboys those are soooooo lovely! Where did you buy them from? Do they do girls colours?

TheNatty · 08/07/2009 11:46

hello

as u know had my bubba, he is lovely, still no name we cant decide on one.

he is in cloth already tho! he wore 2 disposables in the hospital because his cord was bleeding a bit and didnt want to stain them

he is currently in a cotton bottoms wrap with a folded BG newborn insert, as even the muslins are too big for him! even at nearly 8lb his bum is super skinny!

4andnotout · 08/07/2009 13:19

Congrats Natty

Well done on getting him straight in cloth, i did with mine and was grinning like a mad lady and trying to show anyone who would look

Nothing better than a newborn in a babygro, hand knitted matinee jacket and big cloth bum imho!

I've been sold the idea of some Minki wraps and bought 2 from Babykind today while they are on offer. Gawd, I'm excited waiting from them to come. I obviously need a life

JennyPenny22 · 08/07/2009 18:27

John - Can I ask how much they are? I am thinking about getting Talia some more mediums.

There are some cheap smalls on the for sale board if anybody is interested? I did think about getting them for Talia but the medium we have fits fine so the smalls wouldn't last long - if at all.

Is anybody selling any mediums ittis? Or pink wraps in med or large?

Anybody have any experience of UD Pul/Minky wraps? I was going to order 2 WN ones but saw that UD are cheaper and have colours that I prefer (I am mainly wanting some to match dresses!). I have a fleece UD and love it so hoping they would be as good?

My UDNN came today my first popper ones - the rest are applix. It looks different to my others - does anybody know if they have changed them?

OH and if you didn't know - UD have just introduced coloured soy!

JennyPenny22 · 08/07/2009 18:33

Oh and I am just about to put a large UD minki pocket up for sale - its lovely but we just don't use pockets and want to raise funds for some pretty wraps. Does anybody know how much I should ask for it? It is in GUC/EUC I think.

ellielou02 · 08/07/2009 19:04

jenny i still have the red itti it is in good condition.

ellielou02 · 08/07/2009 19:05

sorry it is in very good condition

johnworf · 08/07/2009 19:44

jenny they were £12 each. I got Tanzanite and Ruby I also ordered one of the new design Fuzzi bunz. Postage was £3.00 for the 3 items.

Only had 1 Fuzzi Bunz when K was very tiny and just came out of hospital so be interesting to see how we get on with it.

BaronConker · 08/07/2009 19:45

jenny I have a size large pink tie dye Nature Babies wrap, poppered. It was a present and I have only used it a few times as I have three boys! Not sure why my friend bought me pink...
Anyway, it's yours for £4 posted if you're interested...

twoclimbingboys · 08/07/2009 20:30

natty - huge congrats!!!!!!

johnworf - the nappies are from Upsy Daisy and they do a huge range of girly minkees and fleece. The woollies are soaring sheep and she has a selection of girly yarn.

jenny - all of the minkee wraps on my photobucket are Upsy Daisy minkee wraps - the beach scene, hot air balloon and citrus slush minkee. They are fab!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/07/2009 21:02

jenny: Yes, I've just seen they have coloured soy! Very tempting - we love orange nappies! LOL Do you have any yet? Btw, did they ever come out with a cheaper fitted nappy, or is that the one at 8.25, plus all the added fees for sizes etc?

JennyPenny22 · 08/07/2009 21:34

Rachel - I don't think they do have a cheaper alternative. I was actually tempted to get a fitted today when I did an order but when I added what I wanted it worked out a bit too expensive really. The coloured soy is even more expensive . Think I will dye the ones I have got and see how that turns out.

I have just ordered the girls some minki wraps though. here I ordered Rasberry ripple for Elouise and Rasberry slush for Talia (medium so might be a bit big - but her Medium WN wraps fit so might be OK). Quite excited about those!

Elle - I was looking for your for sale thread the other day for the red one and couldn't find it so assumed it had sold! I have just spent all my paypal on the UD order but I have tonnes of stuff I am selling so maybe in the next few days I will have enough? How much were you asking for again?

Barronconker - don't suppose you would be open to a swap at all? As above - I have just blown my paypal! Have got loads to sell though!

JennyPenny22 · 08/07/2009 21:59

Rachel - meant to say. I have never had a large ME but ELouise still fits into the M/L at 18months (22lb). I think I have some spare M/L if you wanted any? £3.50 posted in VGUC?
And How much does Clement weigh?! I thought Talia was chunky but she still has plenty of room in the small ME on the smallest setting! Lol. She is 12lbs now. She does wear medium WN but she has stacks of room in them. They are too big really but don't leak so I am not complaining. I think they are smaller than ME though TBH.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/07/2009 23:15

jenny: what patterns are your ME wraps? And yes, I found WN wraps a lot more snug compared to ME wraps! I've not taken Clement to HV to be weighed since his 6 week check and he'll be 13 weeks on Saturday! OOps! lol But I know he's a chunky monkey and doing all sorts of active/clever things physically, so don't really see any need for HV! As for weight though, he's not been weighed since he was admitted to hospital for the UTI at 9 weeks old, when he was around 13lb 9oz. But I'm sure he's grown a fair bit since then!
Btw, did you get an email from my friend about the Lollipop nappies? I think she emailed you last Saturday.

ellielou02 · 08/07/2009 23:33

jenny £9 posted

idib · 08/07/2009 23:43

hi i've just joined mumsnet and what to know how i can put my 11months old to sleep as he sleep as late as 1/2am with 1-2 hrs sleep in the day at alternate times. Any tips please.
Thanks

JennyPenny22 · 09/07/2009 00:06

Rachel - I think I have most patterns of the ME in M/L. Talia has never been to baby clinic either. She was weighed at about 2 weeks old and then again yesterday at 10 weeks old! . HV wasn't very happy and she came here to weigh her. I think it was a visit as she was "concerned" that we hadn't been. I got the impresssion she had the idea in her head I had PND or something. Nice of her to care but I couldn't be happier. Glad I am not the only one not going to baby clinic. It would be such hard work to take Elouise as well as she wouldn't sit in the buggy the hole time and would run out the building if I let her out! And if I am going to get a babysitter then TBH I have much more important things to do with that precious time! If she wasn't gaining weight then that is different - but I can see her getting chubbier by the week so there is no point.

I got an email from somebody yesterday, about the lollipop and prefolds asking if I got her previous message (I hadn't) but I replied straight away and haven't heard back yet. I know some people dont check their emails every day though.

4andnotout · 09/07/2009 08:03

I took dd4 to clinic when she was 8mo and that was the first time she had been weighed since she was 6 weeks old As long as i can see her thriving i don't worry about it

BaronConker · 09/07/2009 08:14

Jenny - certainly open to swaps. DS3 is in large everything though, so I don't know what you've got: is it all listed in For Sale? I'll have a look.

I've never taken DS3 to baby clinic - or DS2 for that matter! Only ever had them weighed on the occassions that the HV came here. Seemed so pointless if you can see that they're gaining weight and if they're satisfied after a feed...

Octothechildherder · 09/07/2009 08:19

BaronConker - have just realised have not posted your wrap - in post today first class - sorry! Manic week here!
