I am in love with my Itti Bitti's. They came today lovely! purple and tiger. I want some for dd now... i may just get a couple for her, on fillyourpants they are 2 for £25, plus 2.75 delivery.

JennyPenny22 · 07/07/2009 10:46

Rusmum - bamboo does need more washing to get up to full absorbancy - but I would say they would be fine to start using, but just bear in mind that they might not be as absorbant yet. I am impatient and never do much pre washing but just change more frequently til they have been through lots of washing.

Wraps wise - what do you mean you can't get one to fit? I thought bamboo sandys were very slim? Have you tried a weenotions wrap? These are our favourite at the moment and we are on the look out for some more girly ones. I might have to order brand new though as there doesn't seem to be many pre loved ones around.

johnworf · 07/07/2009 10:54

I started using the sandys from 3 months. The rikka's and the airflows went over them no probs. I think I even got the Nature Babies over them. I think they're one of the least bulky I've used so far

rusmum · 07/07/2009 11:11

it is the depth of the legs that i struggle to cover up- just moving into large at almost 12 months

johnworf · 07/07/2009 11:35

I'm moving away from applix as she's starting to open them herself. Found her without the wrap on in her cot a couple of times Bugger really as she can get all of the Bumgenius off

4andnotout · 07/07/2009 12:13

I went to the post office today and my itti's which i had arranged to be re-delivered there haven't arrived!

I have been buying them from babybots for #11.59 each, they haven't got any yellow ones though. I saw them in greenbaby but it was #14.99 each plus 4.99 postage which is too steep!

Having a problem with connor having a wet back now.Every nappy change he has a big wet patch at the top of the waist! The strange thing is the nappy is hardly wet inside
I put him in a disposable last night & the same thing still happened!
Any ideas? he is 6lb 9 now I am using itti bitti's.He does have very skinny legs & there is a bit of a gap but I used them last week without any leaks until he's started drinking more.

BaronConker · 07/07/2009 12:35

johnworf - I have two of the bright-coloured Sandy's, they're so lovely! I've got green and blue and really want a yellow one...
Rusmum - my fave wraps to go over my sandy's are the airflow and the onelife wrap which is a rip-off of the airflow (poppers at the sides). They have nice deep width around the legs, I know what you mean about that, def wider than aplix nappies. I always thought that ME invented the airflow to go over sandy's as they're a very similar shape, but that could just be my imagination!

maxybrown · 07/07/2009 14:50

OK, met another MN today whose baby was in itty biity d'lish. Loved them! Am I stupid to start using cloth now when DS is 21 months? I reckon he's goign to bein nappies for at least another year ish or so?

I started out with cloth but another brand and didn't take to them and these seem so nice.

I am SAHM whilst he is little so have time to wash etc.

If anyone has an itty bitty in med or large to sell would be appreciated and any advice please

mumface · 07/07/2009 15:58

maxy I'd say he would need a large at 21 months as they come up small. You may need to get snap in boosters too. I reckon you would still save money & get major satisfaction starting on cloth now,you could always sell them afterwards just don't buy too many like most of us addicts!

4andnotout · 07/07/2009 15:58

TheNatty has had her ds! 7lbs 14oz!

Maxybrown i use itti bitti d'lish on my 21mo dd3 and on my 8mo dd4. I don't think dd3 will pt until she is 2.6 or so like her sisters so i have still been buying her new nappies, the resale of itti's is high so if you buy preloved you should get almost if not all your money back. I have a large itti but the elastic is shot in the legs, you can have it for 6 quid posted if you want to try for size? They are usually 14.99 but babybots are doing them for 11.59 plus post and the service is good.

mumface · 07/07/2009 16:01

Oh dear anyone know if biro washes out of nappies. DS2 has just drawn on his yellow spot tots pocket!!

maxybrown · 07/07/2009 16:12

Hmmm....ok thanks everyone. 4andnotout if the elastic is shot does it leak? Didn't mean that to sound rude BTY

He is very skinny you see, weighs about 22lb maximum, but skinny. Still large then? I do quite fancy it as I HATE disposeables. They stink the bin out etc etc etc!!!

mumface vanish soap and a nail brush!! I got pen out of DS Boden T shirt

4andnotout · 07/07/2009 16:16

Maxy-She has still be wearing it with no problems but you have to do it up a bit tighter, she had poo fall out of the leg gap the other day but that was because dp hadn't pulled it up close enough to her mary so it was hanging down too much iyswim. No worries if you don't want it.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 07/07/2009 16:21

4andnotout ok then great....can you hang onto it for please? Emptied PP funds out

Scorps · 07/07/2009 18:03

i love itti bitti's, though havent actually used one yet, i got them in small for my new baby Might accidentally buy dd some mediums

is it realistic to think that in a year, when dd is potty training and dc4 is 6 months, that dc4 will be able to use her size 2s that she is in now? iyswim. So cost would stay really low? So i can justify some itti's in 2

ellielou02 · 07/07/2009 18:43

scorps I have a lovely itti medium in red yours if you want it £9 posted

4andnotout · 07/07/2009 20:20

Scorps-thats why i keep buying dd3 nappies as in a year when dd3 doesn't need them, dd3 can have them

thebluefoxategreensocks · 07/07/2009 21:09

anyone know how m/l sized Airflows differ from either mediums or large? Just asking as I'm not sure how long Clement's tummy will fit into the mediums (he's sooooo wide in his middle! LOL) but would seem crazy that he'd need large so soon!

4andnotout · 07/07/2009 21:43

Tree- My graze box came today and is yummy, if anyone wants one free go to graze.com and use this code 24RXJZRB

OP posts:
twoclimbingboys · 07/07/2009 22:28

rusmum - I use large WN and large airflow wraps over large sandys.

rachel - I sold m/l airflows so can't do a comparison for you, but they were a very, very similar size to the larges but could just go a touch tighter at the legs and waist.

Here is Blake's fluffy post that arrived today - New Soaring Sheep shorties, preloved blue striped woollywraps shorties, Upsy daisy Misty Seas pocket (minkee innner and outer and my new all time favourite nappy - just stunning in RL!)and an Upsy daisy fitted with lime green bamboo velour inner - the poppers are all lime green too!

rusmum · 08/07/2009 07:50
