How annoying - I bought a blueberry minky wrap but as soon as I put it on, it was apparent that this will NEVER work as nappy sticking out all over the place. Clearly not made for big-bum-sandys. It's gorgeous as well - v annoying!

rusmum - do you have a link to the pics of your large sandys?

sasamaxx · 24/04/2009 18:44

...bet one of you ladies could have told me that before I bought it as well...[kickself emoticon]

rusmum · 24/04/2009 21:01

there are pics of sandys here

i have bought a few nappies on CNT, dh will hit roof, i cant hide them neither as all we have are tots bots aio and bgs, so he will notice a few bbos and wnos! oh well, its all for a good cause!!

its very odd having him at home actually (he finished his job last week) we are offically benefit sponges now with me on jobseekers, hopefully he will find some part time work that fits in round uni, else i fear we may kill each other by september!

swampster · 24/04/2009 22:21

Tonight DS2 is in a Motherease Bedwetters and DS3 is in a purple BBH bamboo with a purple Tots Bots wrap - most fetching. Tomorrow he will be sporting a Sugar Peas fleece!!! [double grin at twoclimbingboys]

thebluefoxategreensocks · 24/04/2009 22:29

Hopefully soon won't mind me passing on her news, but since we're both in the same antenatal group/club, I saw that someone posted her announcement earlier today!

Here's what they said:

soon2be has had her baby, Talia, born this morning at 9.05. Weighs 7lb 6 and has dark hair. She is feeding well, nice straightforward birth. Staying in hospital overnight to get some rest.

Yay for her! xx

swampster · 24/04/2009 22:31

TheNatty · 24/04/2009 23:19

rusmum - sorry can't find it
Can you link?

soon2befamilyof4 · 25/04/2009 17:23

Hello everybody! Thanks for all your congratulation messages. Just got home about an hour ago. Had a lovely birth really - well, as far as agony goes anyway! Only part that didn't go to plan was that I didn't get the birthing pool - because I suddenly went from absolutly fine to nearly pushing so they didn't have time to fill/warm it and move me etc!! Birthing centre absolutly lovely, far, far better than the hospital birth I had 16 months ago with DD. No drugs, had gas and air, but other than that, not even a paracetamol.

I will write a full birth story later on and link to it from here if anybody is interested.

DDs are both in disposables. Worst thing is though - the nappy washing has all been messed up. Everything happened so fast that I didn't have time to sort things out. I now don't know if I should re-wash everything but that means at least another day or 2 in disposables?!

I am going to use washable wipes on Talia from the next nappy change. I have hated using cotton wool! It has used half a pack at each change, trying to get the horrible black poo off! I think I am going to wait for that to pass before using the washable nappies in case it doesn't wash off properly? Or stains? Or does anybody know that it will actually be fine?

pookamoo · 25/04/2009 17:37

Hi everyone, just popping in for some advice...

I use size 1 tots bots fluffles on dd (4.5 months) and I'm looking around for size 2. I know fluffles are discontinued, but has anyone used the Little Lamb equivalent? How does it compare? I really want to stick with microfibre as it's so quick drying, but I'm not 100% convinced by the flexitots... I think I am happier with a nappy + wrap (motherease rikki) but am prepared to be convinced otherwise!

rusmum · 25/04/2009 18:47

bambinex taddies good- i have a few but not been using them!

rusmum · 25/04/2009 20:01

pookamoo this lady is selling size 2 fluffles £2.50 each!

rusmum · 25/04/2009 20:02

pookamoo · 25/04/2009 22:33

twoclimbingboys · 25/04/2009 23:13

soon2befamilyof4 · 26/04/2009 00:05

Any ideas for a new name for me? Would actually like it to have my name in somewhere (jen/jenny)

sorry for short post - baby calling.

rusmum · 26/04/2009 07:09
